Royal Apple - Budmail - Skookum - Dec '19

Would like to know the genetics here. Really resinous buds, one of the greasier of the tins I got with a fruity skunky stick that is hard to get off the fingers. Amazing final product and cure, grown with obvious affection for the plant the buds come from. Maybe more of a black coloration than purple, it is deep and dark throughout. An overt gassy smell is very present, but it is the major grapey-berryness that dominates and is so so inviting. Looks like some weird martian type weed in person, vapes like it too. Listed as indica but more hybrid in effect to me, and has a lot of oomph and staying power in terms of it’s upbeat and spaced out feeling, potent and pleasant. Glad to have grabbed extra of this to add to some cannagifts to share this year for the holidays. Exemplary exotic cannabis and will be savoring this special treat.

Birthday Cake #4 - Budmail - Skookum - Nov '19

Used to exclusively like wheelchair weed alone, but as time passed think I like something akin to where’d-I-put-my-fuckin-keys/phone-weed even better, and this is a great example. Nostril flaring upon cracking a jar, dominant blasts of fuel and citrus and what might be a strong red wine aroma are piercing from the buds. Everything coming together it kind of smells like a pop/beer recycling place, weird enough that it would be offensive if it wasn’t so outright funky. Buds are big and beautiful, saturated in so much resin they just glisten. Fingers reek of petrol after handling the buds even after washing and washing, that should be a new metric for cannabis. Gas absolutely ignites from the buds upon breaking them, super duper oily and greasy; I see that ‘oil tanker spill’ selling tag used pretty liberally lately, this stuff is pure petrol however. Feels almost criminal breaking apart the buds, but is a real sight under a loupe. Huge vapor production, and extra bags with the volcano. Effects are sublime, can’t necessarily do much, yet want to do everything anyway. Some similar mind-microwaving feeling to the Animal Face, but more lethargic overall, and remains incredibly euphoric in nature. Hit a lot of the right notes and checked off all the boxes for me, one of the better buds i’ve enjoyed and my favorite of the Skookum strains i’ve tried so far (out of 6). Very grateful for the killer Black Friday sale, and glad to have stocked up on this one as I plan to make up enough arbitrary snowflake-inspired holidays of my own since everything is apparently worth celebrating (or fighting over..) these days, and enjoy me some cake more often.

Animal Face - Budmail - Skookum - Dec '19

Played a game of swirl the cannabis donut that wouldn’t show a break anywhere that it might come out of it’s tin a bit with this one, she almost won out. Received deliciously dank large buds that are still a bit smooshy yet but as they open the smell does as well, at first a complex gassy-meaty-minty-floral-tang that has a plethora of aromas backing it still, really confounds the olfactories all the more when ground up. Huge vapor producer with layers of flavor, a fun one to try and analyze, and really savor overall. The buds are so caked they have a white-ish hue in person, underneath are a range of gorgeous coloration from lime greens to deep purples and a bit of blues throughout the buds. Good and sticky, with an immaculate cure, someone really cared about these flowers. Effects are potent and kind of mind scrambling; rather than putting you down or making you focused at any point in the hybrid feeling high, this is kind of a zany, confused stone. Good times abound with this one. Took a chance on stocking up a bunch of it given the price was down to a little over $2.50/gram after all the coupons and my old points, and for me this may well be one of my best cannabis buys, surely for the price as it is one of my favorites regardless from the past year.

Orange Punch - Budmail - by Skookum - Dec '19

I still remember the very first batch of the grapefruit soda from bdbudstore quite fondly. This maybe doesn’t have the same visual aesthetics but does remind of the terpenes, amplified and then some...just reeks. Wafts seem to come in waves from the open jar, blasting tangy citrus and sprite/7-up that combine to make a very orangey-soda smelling strain, maybe more than any I’ve come across, and tastes as good as it smells, freaking intoxicating. Super caked and sticky buds that were a problem getting out of the can as seems to be the case with most Skookum, this one is dank and it’s hard to get the stank off your fingers after hand busting or even simple inspection. Was the first Skookum tin I opened and they're packed tighter than any canned cannabis I've come across so far. As a result of my impatience my trophy buds (not pictured) ended up getting mangled/broken when removing from the tin and a sticky smelly mess of flower remains in a really zesty and intoxicating clump in my jar that is seriously hard to resist keeping open. This one has a real summer vibe to me. I’m not that big into sativas but was surprised by the intensity and type of effects, figuring a more hybrid feel would result from the gentics but instead soaring and roaring effects were felt and didn’t die down when otherwise expected. Great uplift, really energizing and a really giddy and goofy high overall. Wish I had gotten more of this one, this is a treat. Going to evap all the terps off for how often i have my nose in this jar.

Wedding Cake - Budmail - November

You no longer need to be at a wedding to enjoy some Wedding Cake! ​ Wedding cake is a popular cross of Girl Scout Cookies x Cherry Pie. As soon as you crack the tin your greeted with a very appealing creamy sweetness very similar to a cake as you can probably guess lol. Medium sized buds that are completely caked out covered in thrichomes. Very dense, gorgeous to look at and a nice fresh stickiness on the inside as well. As you can probably guess again the taste is very sweet and smooth in a Volcano lol. It also produces a very generous amount of vapor bags! The effects of this strain are amazing for after work or chilling at night. After a 0.8g Volcano session I was hit with a strong calming euphoria followed by a really heavy relaxation that doesn't fully couch lock you. It's effects are stony but don't ruin your focus making it great for gaming or watching shows/movies. After the second fill up of 0.8g it got me so stoned that I was just listening to myself breathing heavily in bliss. The buzz will eventually lead to sleep as I slept like a baby and woke up feeling fantastic. Great for loss of appetite and doesn't cause any anxiety! ​ If your looking for a balanced and heavy high, I highly recommend Skookum's Wedding Cake! ​ 9.75/10

Animal Face - Budmail - November

You know those strains you keep a secret from your friends because they're just so good and you wanna buy it all? This is one of them lol! Animal Face is one of the dankest crosses of Animal Mintz x Face Off OG! As soon as you crack the tin your hit with a powerful piercing aroma of sweet pine and diesel that make's your eyes open like Mama Mia, what is this!? Beautiful dense monstrous buds that are completely sticky to the touch and covered in crystals. You may be stuck just admiring the look for a while! The taste in the Volcano was extremely smooth sweet pine and it offered a very generous amount of vapor bags. The high is easily a favorite. After a 0.8g Volcano session I'm hit with pure uplifted mental euphoria that takes away and negative thoughts and makes me smile excessively. Soon this turns stoney while a warming body high completely washes over you leaving you without a care in the world. Very balanced in effects and won't knock you out unless you over do it, but can definitely put you to sleep if you need to. I usually prefer something heavy after work but this does the trick while being so potent and still soothing my aches and pain. Gave me a nice appetite as well yesterday as I went to the fridge 3 times. Fantastic for anytime of day to chill and enjoy life! ​ Another extremely potent and versatile pheno by Skookum that's easily in my Top 5 strains ever experienced. ​ 10/10

Hazelnut Cream - Budmail - November

If you got nothing planned and wanna forget what you were doing, Skookum's got you covered! ​ Hazelnut cream is a delicious cross of Miami Haze x Cookies and Cream. Cracking the tin unleashes a sharp tangy citrus with some piney nuttiness which adds a sweet creaminess when grinding up the buds. Big boulder colas in my tin, very dense and beautiful to look at with orange tones and plenty of crystals. The taste is an extremely smooth sweet creamy citrus in a Volcano and also provides a very generous amount of vapor bags, I thought it was over and had another bag. The high on this is very potent. Like I tried three times to review this potent and couldn't remember the buzz or got side tracked. After a 0.6g (lowered from 0.7g+) Volcano session I'm first hit with a cerebral euphoria that offers some uplifted joyful energy, creativity and focus which quickly shifts on you. This turns into a powerful hazy stone that's mentally relaxing so don't have any important plans lol. Gave me some nice appetite for breakfast this morning. A great choice for chilling and playing some video games. It's long lasting and makes your eyelids relaxed so plan ahead lol! ​ A powerful strain that can make you feel like a dummy if you over do it, Hazelnut Cream is highly recommended! ​ 9.75/10

Zurple Punch - Budmail - November

Another Punch brought to you by Skookum! ​ Zurple Punch is a fantastic cross of Zkittlez and Purple Punch. Opening the bag your greeted to an insane sweet tangy citrus and tropical sour fruits aroma, very complex but so dank. Beautiful looking buds that are sticky on the inside with generous amount of shiny crystals. The taste in a Volcano was a delicious sweet tangy citrus and it provided a nice amount of vape bags. The high of this beauty is just as amazing as the flavor. After a 0.67g Volcano session I was hit with a powerful uplifting cerebral euphoric high that put me in such a great mood. There was also a strong warming full body buzz that doesn't hold you down. Very potent and perfectly balanced, I remember being at the store like man I'm high. Highly calming with some nice focus to go with it making it a great choice for gaming or watching a movie/tv shows. Also helped with increasing my appetite and doesn't cause any anxiety. ​ This is a selection any connoisseur would want in their head stash at all times! ​ 9.75/10

Stella Blue - Budmail - November

If the Winter weather got you feeling blue get yourself some Stella Blue! ​ Stella Blue is a fruity cross of Blueberry and an Unknown strain. Opening the bag your greeted with a delicious sweet berry aroma and a slight earthiness. I got a small bag so my buds were on the smaller side but they are dense, sticky on the inside and covered in crystals. This strain also displays a beautiful colors with purple tones and amber hairs. The taste in a vape was very nice, tasty sweet berries and it produced and regular amount of vapor bags. After a 0.65g Volcano session I was hit a very happy cerebral uplift that's talkative and giggly at times. This blends into a warm relaxing body buzz that's euphoric while still energizing and provides some nice focus. Great for keeping positive vibes in stressful situations while getting tasks done or just bringing some out to a party! ​ Another versatile strain that's a great choice at social gatherings perfect for Winter! ​ 8.5/10

Creamsicle - Budmail - November

Just when you thought it was done Skookum is back at it again! ​ Creamsicle is a top end cross of Caramelicious and Cream Caramel. As soon as you crack the tin your blasted with a pungent sweet citrus cream blend that makes you salivate and want to take a big whiff, a real dank dessert like aroma. The buds I got are medium sized with some smaller ones which are covered in trichomes and pretty sicky on the inside. The taste is just amazing. I rarely smoke joints and this bud makes me wanna smoke a lot of them. Burns perfect and light grey/white ash with a sweet flavor until the end. It also tastes amazing in a vape and fills a generous amount of vapor bags. Luckily this bud isn't just for flavors but the high is great! Your first hit with a cerebral stone that's euphoric but still mentally clear. This soon blends into a strong body high that doesn't hold you down at all making it great for anytime of day. Very effective for anxiety with it's calming properties which helped me on a stressful day making me worry free. Great for clearing out any negative thoughts and taking away all aches and pains while still being able to get stuff done. Also quite long lasting! ​ A fantastic strain for the flavor chaser with a versatile high to go with it! ​ 9/10
