Pull n snap mix shatter - HGA - September 30

First off click on the first image... Cropped kind of weird... Secondly... bring on the CRC tech haters. Now for the review. From what I'm told about this stuff it's not CRC tech and it has to do with harvesting the stuff before the trichs amber... I'm not a weed wizard so I don't know. BUT what I will tell you about this stuff is it's awesome. First pic is Death bubba, if you scroll through the other pics you'll see nothing is quite the same colour / consistency of it. You can grab it with your fingers with no fear of it sticking really... maybe a little, but it's stuck so hard to the bottom of the puck it's unreal. The rest are standard looking shatter, it looks extremely stable but is actually very easy to pull and stretch to work with. Death bubba might be a little more difficult, I managed to find a piece that wasn't in the glob and just pull it out for my first couple dabs. The flavor is great... they didn't have any scent to them really, but the death bubba tastes just like the flower but slightly danker almost? I dunno how to explain it. Super smooth on the inhale and a heavy lung hit on the exhale that'll have you coughing... In a good way. Instant effects as far as the buzz settling in... Like a tesla on insane mode your instantly moving at the speed you were looking for. The Lemon skunk is the only other one I've tried so far and no scent really on it, but when you smoke it the lemon comes through heavy, a little but of that skunky dank weed taste as well but the lemon is the dominant taste. The inhale is super smooth followed by almost a questionable exhale because of how smooth it is on the lungs. I definitely didn't think I was gonna be stoned... took a second little one and kind of regretted it... was almost uncomfortably stoned for 5-10 minutes, had to sit down and drink a cup of juice to gather myself hahah ​ So other than the Death bubba all the shatter has a slight cloudyness to it.. I was concerned about this at first, but the Lemon skunk was soooo smooth and so clean tasting it eliminated all doubts I had. If the Death bubba has had CRC tech applied to it.... This is the proper way to use CRC tech... same goes for the other strains. You could tell me you used CRC tech and I would not care, some of the smoothest/yummiest shatter I've had. Not to discredit the other guys I always give props to for their shatter on here. Q: 9.4/10 - I'm sure there is ways to improve on this, I'm not a processor, but for me a really solid overall end product V: 9.6/10 - The 5 pack intro sale HGA has on right now is a steal at $110 for 5 of them, Gelato 41 and Rockstar are the other options outside of these 5. They are apparently gonna go up to $40 a single after the sale, $26 a single now. Get em' while their hot.. I think a more realistic price would be $30 a single while not on sale. Death Mint Cookies (Smalls) by High Grade Aid, Early October

This is my third time ordering the DMC but this is my first time ordering the smalls and im happy with my purchase. Got the oz shipped for $112 and its really good value for the price. These are really good smalls, i’d say about 2/3 of the bag is caked in trichomes and pretty dense whilst the rest are more airy and stemmy. The nose is still the gassy cookie dough scent you’d expect and the buds are nice and sticky. Shipping and CS with HGA is always pleasurable, theyre by far the fastest mom ive dealt with and it was nice of them to include a boveda even though i forgot to ask for it this time around. High is indica leaning with some heady euphoria in it. These smalls are comparable to the full sized nugs in terms of potency, however it does suffer marginally in the irritability factor as there are more leaves and stems in this batch. With that being said, a little trim job would solve this problem. All in all a really good purchase, honestly im not sure whether i’d pick this up over the full sized nugs since theres only about a $60 difference and i mainly vape my flower. However, these are perfect for rolling fat doobies/to smoke your buddies out without being too harsh on the wallet. Q: 8.5 (for popcorn/smalls) V: 8.5

Wagyu / Sunset Mac | HGA (highgradeaid) | late September 2020

**apologies for the brick iPhone se quality** Wagyu (left) is an amazing smoke. Got it at 25% off so 7g @$50 and it’s well worth the price. Has a pink kush type smell with a dough undertone and the nose reflects in the smoke. Dry sample so it’s in a jar and will likely freshen up a bit but the dryness made for a fast burning joint - although it had a white ash until the last few tokes. Very sticky and dense buds with purple hues. Heavy indica that put me straight to bed! Q:9 V:9 Sunset Mac has a very unique smell and massive 3-4g buds, very similar to Mac1 but with citrus undertones. Taste is the same but not as strong as the smell. Perfect cure and ghost white ash. High is mild and leans more sativa for me - I was able to watch the presidential debates without being distracted which says a lot for someone like me who’s always distracted lol. Overall it’s a great daytime flower with attributes that assist in focus for me. Q:8.5 V:8

Probably the third or fourth time I’ve ordered this strain but the first time I decided to get some smalls. As always it definitely hits really hard when smoking. Great for a nighttime smoke or just chilling out. Also is extremely dank, Easily fills up an entire room with that gorgeous smell. I expected the buds to be a little bit bigger but for the price, I really can’t complain. Quality - 9, Value - 9 (with the sale). Really love the option for faster ship through Purolator and the numerous discount incentives.

Red Congolese - HGA - Late September

Strain Name: Red Congolese Delivery/Packaging: Packaging/Shipping 10/10, i get it the next day in Victoria BC Smell: I cant stop opening the jar, great grapefruit smell... one of the best smelling strain ive come across 10/10 Taste: citrusy/grapefruit taste, this weed taste exactly what it smells. 10/10 Texture/bag appeal: Medium nugs, extremely dense, crystals glistening everywhere, long orange hair 10/10 High: Super functional high, still hits like a shovel but feels balanced. I can still focus on what im doing unlike some other strains like Waygu where i need to lay. Strongest sativa ive come across. Value/Overall Rating: Value 9/10 overall rating 10/10. Probably my favorite daytime strain. Epic service from HGA as usual.

MAC1 - HighGradeAid - Sept 29th

Edit with review: Very stoned at the moment lol. When I first opened the bag I was hit with one of the strongest fruity, sweet, tropical smells ever lol. This stuff is very strong and very smooth. Had a few tokes out of my pipe so taste wasn't super strong, but I got a bit of a sweet and fruity taste. Will have to try a joint later to get more of the flavour. Most of the buds are a little on the smaller side but super dense and tight with a good trim. I think I have to up my rating to a Q: 9.5/10 and V: 9/10. A little on the pricey side at $70/7g or $260/oz, but definitely worth it in my opinion. ~~About try this, will update with review in a bit. Based on looks and smell ill give it a 9/10 quality and 8/10 value. Smells insanely fruity, buds are a bit smaller but crazy dense and with a perfect trim.~~

Gelato (smalls) - HGA - Late september

First let me start by saying that HGA usually carries really good everything... I think they really missed a lot on this one. This was graded as AAAA- and I think a AAA- rating is more appropriate or even AA based off of the irritation on inhale. First we will start with how it looks.. as you can see from the pictures the smalls definitely left something to be desired. My last review I praised them on the size of the red congo smalls.. these were popcorn/popcorn seeds at best. A lot of the smaller cleft/larf/whatever you wanna call the small leafy, scraggly buds had little stems shooting off of them which I had to pick through and throw out. a lot of the nugs were so small it probably took me 20-30 minutes to pick through everything I wanted to keep to smoke (wish I had timed this) and I had 2.1g of shake/stem when all was said. Some smaller stuff I would normally consider shake I had to let pass the test in fear of losing 2-3 grams of tiny nugs. Most gelato I've seen has had a good variance in colour from green to purple but these small nugs all look pretty uniform, but when you get nugs this small I don't know if they grow to develop colour... The smell upon arrival was kind of a light kush... maybe sweetened kush kinda smell.. fairly muted.. nothing really exciting to write home about.. I was more excited about the skunk bomb sample in the bag (which might be skunk bubba since they don't have Bomb listed?). I expected more sweetend creamy with some gas on the backend and fruit undertones by everyones descriptions. The smoke... I don't know if it was the fact that these smalls were SOOOO Small, or it wasn't flushed/dried/cured proper... but the inhale on this itches the throat... It's harsh on the inhale.. has a small lung pull, nothing heavy by any means... The scratchy throat on the inhale and slight irritance afterwards is all that comes to mind though. Didn't pay attention to colour of ash for you crazy ash heads, usually just try to feel it and enjoy. Flavor was very similar to the taste... kind of a light kush... the sweetness was almost lost and it was more of a light kush with earthy undertones. The buzz was mild for an AAAA- from HGA and honestly slightly ruined by the irritated throat. I'm a concentrate smoker and I'd say I was moderately buzzed, I believe I took a dab when I got back in from the joint. It's tough for me to evaluate the high.. I feel like the harshness on the inhale is really killing my vibes. But probably probably a mild chilled out kind of social vibe that I got off it. Q: 5.6/10 - I've had so much better from HGA.. I've never had anything from them be so harsh on the throat... normally even something really heavy hitting like DMC will be smooth going down and then on the exhale you feel it on the lungs... I'm not even sure if this is real Gelato.. I know ever Pheno is different but where are the fruity undertones? And where is the colouring??? ​ V: 5/10 - These smalls were $180 an ounce.. If these were priced around the $100-$120 mark I'd say it'd be a more appropriate value. =/ One of / If not the most disappointing purchase from HGA... I'm not sure if these smalls are so small that's what's causing the irritation or if it wasn't dried/cured/flushed proper... or If I'm just smoking some mediocre strain marked as Gelato... but why the throat irritant! Would love some feedback from anyone who got regular sized.

Red Congo SMALLS - HGA - Sept 2020

I saw HGAs RC smalls up for 150 and grabbed an oz and man are these SMALLS, and leafy. Beyond that this is still VERY much the Red Congo I know and love from them. The smell, taste and effects are not affected by the small size imo. Classic sativa strain that really needs no additional review based on the abundance of reviews for this stuff here.
