Granddaddy Purple - Monkey Budz - February

Granddaddy Purple from Monkey Budz Cross: Big Bud x Purple Urkle 70% Indica Dominant Hybrid Visual: They were very dense and compact looking nugs. They looked a bit handled and packaged but there was lots of crystal all over them. The colour was a medium to dark green with light brown hairs that blended in. They were very dense just like they looked. Nose: The nose was a musky sweet grape and berry. It also had a bit of a spice to it when I opened it up. It wasn’t overly pungent, but it had a decent smell to it. Cut/Roll/Grind: It was easy to cut and to grind. It was not sticky but it had a good moisture level. Taste: I got the musky grape and some spiciness from it.    Burn: The burn was ok. The ash was a bit dark and flaky but it didn’t go out on me.   Potency/Effects: It wasn’t super punchy, but the effects built up quick. The buzz built up quick without a big hit from it. It was very relaxing and gave ma a but of that weighed down effect in my body. I got the effects mostly in my body with this one. I think that it would be good to mix with a Sativa for an all around effect. Overall score – 8.5/10  Check out my website - mcdaddy.ca! Sold as an add-on, you get 5.5g of random flower of Monkey Budz choosing for 20$. I'm not sure which strain I got, I will have to ask. It would be neat to turn it into some sort of game, where the customer has 1 opportunity to guess the flower. If correct, they get a prize pack or something. The flower was much better than I had anticipated it to be.

Granddaddy Purple is one of my favourite strains. Medium to large dense nugs. Smell is sweet, a bit of a fruity smell to it. On inhale, I taste hints of bubblegum, maybe something creamy, hints of fruit, maybe black pepper. Ashes are light to dark grey. It hit me very hard. 8/10

Absolutely DANKS! Extremely pungent when you open the bag. When I open the bag and smell the flower, my inner voice says "This! I want this!" Dense, sticky medium size nugs, jam-packed with trichomes. Tastes like kush, chemicals, gas, pine, etc. when inhaling. Light grey ash. 8/10

I had a hard time trying to find lighting that would highlight this beauty. Dense, small and medium sized nugs with an excellent trim job. Cure is on point. Burns extremely well in joint form. Oil ring and white ash. Smells incredible. It tastes sweet and gassy with a powerful and flavourful smoke. Not for beginners. Great for evening, it hits hard. It wrecked me last night. The taste remained in my mouth after the session which was awesome. 9.5/10

Medium to small nugs that show off the flower's light to dark green contrast, densely coated with red hairs and trichomes. It stinks in such a good way on many different levels. I smell a familiar herb that I cannot identify. Grinder is coated in crystals. My thumb is sticking to the screen while I write this, and I barely touched the flower. Oh My Gosh is this ever flavourful!!! It has depth, maybe 7 or 8 flavours I'm picking up on. Mint chocolate is amongst them! Some gas for us gas lovers! White ash and oil ring are immediately present upon a few puffs of the joint. Halfway through, I don't want to stop smoking but I know I'm stoned.... as I walk away, my mouth is still super tasty. 9/10 Bonus: Monkey Budz also threw in a free grinder with 2 different kinds of flower in it! It is such a pleasure dealing with such a kind and passionate MoM. I am so happy to have found Monkey Budz :)

Peanut Butter Breath - Monkey Budz - February

Peanut Butter Breath from Monkey Budz Cross: Do-Si-Dos x Mendo Breath F2 Cultivator: Okanagan Farms Breeder: Thug Pug Genetics Balanced Hybrid Visual: They were small/medium buds with a good amount of crystal on them. They had a mix of light greens and forest greens with patches of light brown hairs. The buds were very dense. Nose: The nose was piney and earthy with a little bit of nuttiness. When I opened it up I got a lot more of the creamy nuttiness, which I find typical to a PBB. Cut/Roll/Grind: It was easy to cut and to grind and it fluffed up a bit in the grinder. It was just on the verge of becoming dry but it didn’t crumble into dust or anything. Taste: The taste was more pungent than the nose. I hot the creamy nuttiness and some woodiness and some earthy pine.   Burn: The burn was good. The ash was light overall with a tiny bit of salt and peppering and it didn’t want to go out.   Potency/Effects: I didn’t have much of a punch to it but I don’t find that breath strains are usually very punchy. The effects built up decently though. I got a buzzy face and it was uplifting and energetic. I could feel it build up slowly in my body as well. It had a good all around effect and it would be good for day and evening.
