Rosin Infused Gummi Bears- Northstar Rosin-April 2020

Northstar Rosin describes this product as rosin infused gummy bears; dosed at 20mg/bear. The gummies were very appealing with bright red colours coated in an even layer of sugar. The smell was fruity, but I mainly picked up a strawberry jam nose. The flavor followed suite which was great with only a minor chemical/hashy aftertaste noticed. The gummies weren’t overly sappy or sticky which I've found to be a common feature of many gummy edibles. The effects were noticed within the first hour after eating three bears (~60mg). Found this to be the perfect amount for me to feel relaxed but not uncomfortable. Likely could have eaten 100mg worth but wanted to enjoy the activities I was doing versus being completely couch locked. Appears to be an accurate dose compared to my previous experience dabbling in edibles.

Beautiful glassy looking flower rosin with bronze to coffee colored hues depending on the thickness. The rosin was solidified which likely set the scene for the countless bubbles of varying sizes throughout the rosin. The smells were apparent upon opening with earthy, herbal and sweet scents hitting my nose.  These smells only intensified with whipping and carried well into the taste with even bigger flavors of nutty sweet earth. I am not sure I can truly say it has chocolate notes but that may well be the combination of flavors I was picking up. The smoke was very smooth and burned clean leaving no residue in the banger. Found I got hit between the eyes with cerebral effects immediately before I noticed a relaxing sensation settle in throughout the rest of my body. Another Indica dominant strain that would have me concerned with couch-lock if smoked during the daytime.

The colours were dark nut browns to golden as it thinned out in areas. The smell was very muted as I opened the jar but when whipped produced fragrant sweet, fruity and citrus aromas. The combination results in a candy like scent. For a budget rosin this smoked very well with a relatively clean burn. Smoke was smooth but potent with mild creamy and citrus notes being most prominent. Found the buzz to be a definite indica leaning with a body high that slowly crept up on me. Soon I found it difficult to concentrate with a stoney head high and generalized relaxing sensations. Could see this being a big risk of couchlock with a couple dabs.

I'm definitely no rosin or concentrate expert as I mainly use it as bowl toppers and always have. I do have a rig and a dynavap on the way with a dynacoil attachment so I'm hoping to give better reviews soon of these goodies. This was an excellent strain and given to me as a extra on top of my two purchased baller jars. Good earthy lemony Terps that translate very well into taste, very good stone, almost too much so as I suffered one of my 'thinking about death too much' thought trains after laying in bed LOL! I've been loving rosin more than any other concentrate lately. These guys have a great deal and have some great mid tier product imo. Quality 8/10 Value N/A (Sample)

At first glance I noticed a bight caramel colored interior with darker nut-brown exterior. After whipping the color of the rosin was a slightly warmer or lighter golden brown. Smell was muted upon opening but once agitated released a distinct sweet, floral and fruit scents. Smoke was clean with a pleasant but mild earth and gassy flavors. Buzz was Indica leaning with fast acting relaxation felt in the torso; with sedative effects arriving a half hour later. I would be leery to use during the daytime as a couple dabs lead me straight to the couch to become one with it. Honestly a great budget rosin; only lacking slightly in the smell/taste department.

25mg edibles - North Star Rosin - April 2020

10 x 25mg gummies 2 are missing since I had them last night. I've found my sweet spot before bed is 50mgs as long as they are 25mgs. I took 2 last night an hr or so before bed and was pretty baked. Put me out. I bought an oz of his rosin and I got this as a sample to try out before his release. They may be up on the pastibien site now.
