Fluffy, light green buds that are topped with a vast amount of winding orange hairs and sticky trichomes. Some gentle purple streaks can be seen throughout as well. I did find a couple premature seeds in this one too as listed on the site. A very interesting profile on this crunk boat, providing aromas consisting of sweet and funky berries accented by skunky gas. Translates decently over to the taste thought it's ultimately jeopardized by the harsher smoke and darkish burn. It packs a decent potency with very heady and uplifting effects, delivering social and mood boosting qualities that bode well for pretty much any time of the day as it remains very functional through the the entirety of it's high.

Strain - Crunk Boat (Purple Urkle x Bubba Kush x Tina) Mom - Onyx Phenos Smell - the gas on this strain completely comes gusting out as soon as its re-exposed to the air, over taking the immediate vicinity with its skunky presence. Although the gassy diesel stank overtakes the majority of the scent you also receive gentle notes of berries or grapes Smoke - well unfortunately I had spotted a seed as I was about to grind this stuff up, apparently there was also seed chutes within the interior that really overtook the flavor as that gross burnt seed taste and smell throughout the entire burn. I was definitely looking to see what flavor this strain could have provided, it was just too difficult to get a true taste at any point High - the high did seem to be quite decent, and it did start to set in prior to finishing off doob entirely. A nice euphoric rush, heavy eyelids, clouded thoughts, and a decent mood booster. Not surprising that this is an split down the middle with the best traits of both indica and sativa alike. Finding motivation might prove to be difficult post smoke, making this more of a strain to spark up with some spare time on hand Quality: these samples were unfortunately quite squished up and almost flattened to really remove alot of the potential of the bag appeal. The two buds I had received were very different looking one featuring a healthy supply of purple and the other very green in comparison which is said to be a likely occurance while growing this strain. Long intact light orangish copper pistils, sugar leafs still intact, and a dousing of milky trichomes over top of the entire structure

Extremely sticky, dank earth and kush smelling. Rolls up well, with the smell translating to taste. White ash, oil ring forms right away. Physical relaxation paired with munchies and sleepiness, a joint of this was a great nightcap. Side note, the brownie and muffin I got from them were amazing. Like homemade baked goods, and the 250mg dosage felt accurate.

Strain - Steve Hurkle (Tahoe OG x Harlequin x Querkle) Mom - Onyx Phenos Smell - tearing open the mylar, there's an immediate gust of terpenes that are just awaiting their sweet escape. There's a distinct stanky skunk presence with a coffee earthiness also coming in the overall scent Smoke - the carry over of taste from smell is quite on point, bringing the full terpene profile to the table each puff. A medium greyish salt and pepper ash, and a resin ring that arrived on the early stages of the joint. The inhale being a skunky coffee likeness and the exhale being more of a spicey skunk earthiness High - I found this strain to be a decent later day or early evening selection. Fairly sedating, good high which has euphoric characteristics, but most noteable of all was the body relaxation making any pain that was present, non existent Quality: the buds contain a very unique green blend that appears to be mixed up half compiled of a minty green with almost an evenly split of the remainder being a dark forest green hue. Long light orangish brown pistils unfurled throughout the nuggets, some and a frosted healthy layer of glistening trichomes. The squeeze was fluffy and spongy, and sticky and resinous once busted open

Quality: 8.2/10 Value: 7.3/10 Lineage: Purple Urkle x Bubba Kush x Tina Appeal: Really dig the appeal of this one. Beautiful mix of green and purple leaves that are nicely covered in trichomes. The bud feels a bit too moist, maybe needed to dry a bit more. Smell: Very interesting terps coming out of this one, although a little mild. I get a nice whiff of gas mixed with what reminds me of Unicorn Poop, which is more breath-related. Smoke: I smoke out of a bong so I can't really say too much about the quality of the burn, but my bowls burn mostly black. It's still a decently smooth smoke but the cure isn't the best and it reflects in the burn. High: This is a nice hybrid strain that I'd say leaned in on the sativa side for me. Pleasant uplifting effects, it was a good high for some social time with friends. Doesn't hit too hard but it's a decently long lasting high. Note: I covered the shipping cost for a sample pack from Onyx Phenos after they reached out to me. IMO the price tag is a little high for the quality compared to some other moms I order from, but it's a good smoke nonetheless.

This one had a meaty, funky fruity smell to it. There’s some sweetness to it too, surprisingly strong for one bud. Again, this bud was extremely sticky. Taste is complex, sweet fruitiness with gas and something I can’t place my finger on, “tangy” almost. Burn on this one was light gray, oil ring started quickly into the joint. Felt heavy eyes, giggly, talkative and hungry. Perfect strain to watch a funny movie or games with friends, probably sedative in higher amounts. *Found a fully matured seed in the oz (this is disclosed on their site), still smoked fine. Would probably buy this one again if there were no seeds - it’s got a unique taste but with a great classic stone. *Part of a 4.5g + 2x250mg edibles for $15 sample package, doesn’t impact my review

Steve Hurkle - Onyx Phenos - Jan/21

I covered shipping cost for a sample pack from these guys, so not totally “free”. Came with 3g and 2x 250mg edibles for $15 shipping, so decent. I couldn’t find Steve Hurkle as a strain, though I think it’s their pheno of Steve Urkle. Smells like garlic breath with a bit more sweetness. Was glued to the package, very sticky, but not wet. Rolls up well. Tastes of earth, garlic and citrus. Ash is dark, not black. Decent oil ring. Smoke itself is flavourful but somewhat harsh. Found the high to come on quickly. zoned out watching TV a couple times, really melts stress or helps to calm your mind. Didn’t find too much of a body stone, but only smoked a gram. Lasted a couple hours. I would hesitate at full list price (220oz) but with a 20% coupon it would be a solid buy (not sure if they do coupons). Not overpriced, just could do better for under 220.

onyxphenos.co my personal favourite from onyx phenos so far. initial appearance: good sized nugs covered in crystal trichomes. beautiful purple and blue hues. Upon opening the bag, i was immediately met by a strong gassy smell. This is the perfect day time strain for anyone that is dealing with any kind of pain but still has work to get done. As somebody who deals with a lot of nausea, i found that the Crunk Boat quickly and effectively relieves me of any nausea that i am feeling. I have also always dealt with social anxiety and found that this strain made me very social and talkative. Overall a really upbeat strain that will have you feeling like the best version of yourself (and also make you do and somehow enjoy all the work/cleaning around the house that you've been avoiding)

UBC Chemo by Onyx Phenos

If you're in Canada and struggling with any kind of pain, nausea, or headaches i definitely recommend checking out onyxphenos.co and trying out the UBC Chemo. In terms of initial aesthetics the nugs were large/dense and covered in crystal trichomes all over. While the onset of the high is intense and immediate it is also a creeper so don't let it catch you by surprise. Even in very small quantities this strain will rid you of the discomfort of any your ailments. Personally i found it to be most useful for its ability to quickly get rid of nausea and increase my appetite. Definitely some great medicine!
