Rocket Chronic - Gorilla Glue #4 popcorn, Brainstorm, Super Silver Haze, and Snow White (Belated review from early July)

MOM Name: Rocket Chronic Overall rating out of 10: 8/10 Sign Up: Quick and easy, with no ID required when I signed up in April. Ordering & Pricing: Ordering is done in the normal way. Their prices are pretty average, with their cheapest strain running you 130 an ounce and their most expensive costing 300 an ounce. While that's not as cheap as some MOMs, one thing Rocket Chronic definitely has going for it is the selection. I currently count 42 strains of flower in stock, and they have plenty of options for mixers so it's easy to sample a bunch of their wares at once. There's also a pretty wide selection of concentrates and edibles available, also at what looks to be pretty average prices. Note that Rocket Chronic does not include GST in their prices and instead applies it at checkout. Communication: I haven't had to email them, but my order was dispatched quickly and arrived in two days, which is normal for my MOM purchases. Packaging: The packaging job was well-done. An Xpresspost envelope contained a vacuum sealed clear bag which further contained the product in resealable plastic bags. Unfortunately, the custom labels that were on my first order were replaced by simple writing on the bags with marker, but that was just a frill anyway so it's hardly a big deal. There was no smell at all until I opened the vacuum sealed bag. Products: I ordered one ounce of Gorilla Glue #4 popcorn (55% sativa) and 3.5 grams each of Brainstorm (sativa-dominant), Super Silver Haze (sativa-dominant), and Snow White (indica-dominant). The GG#4 cost 100 dollars, while the two sativas cost 30 each and the Snow White 25. The final cost was 189 dollars, which included a five dollar discount from redeeming reward points. Brainstorm - This strain smells very 'planty', with undertones of citrus. The half-quarter came mostly as one big nug. While Brainstorm is a sativa, I found it to have a surprisingly strong body effect, with a sort of pleasant buzzing sensation spreading throughout my limbs after a little while. It's definitely focused more on the head though, and I found myself quite interested in the Youtube videos I was watching while smoking. With all that said, I found this slightly weaker in effect than I was expecting overall, and I don't think it's quite worth the 30 per 1/8 and 240 per ounce they were asking for it. If I'd paid 25 instead of 30, I think I'd have been more satisfied. As it stands, I can't really recommend this one, though I don't regret giving it a try. Super Silver Haze - I'm having no luck describing the smell on this strain. It has a strong scent of vegetation, like the Brainstorm, but also a sort of sharpness that I used to detect in a lot of the Southern Ontario street weed I used to get four or five years ago, along with an almost soapy undertone. Any scent similarities aside, it sure as hell doesn't smoke like street weed, and I definitely enjoyed this stuff more than the Brainstorm. The effects are much stronger and mostly heady in orientation, as you'd expect from a sativa. I constantly found myself taking a rip, getting distracted, and then remembering the bowl ten minutes later. If you don't mind the price (same as the Brainstorm) I'd really recommend this stuff as a high quality sativa. Snow White - This is another one that's hard to describe the smell of. There's definitely a sourness that comes across, but that's about the best I can do. Visually, this shit is crazy. Most of the half-quarter came as one fat, dark, purple-accented nug that is absolutely covered in trichomes. It's a potent smoke, and I've mostly been hitting it before bed because it puts me in exactly the right state to fall asleep quickly. There's a bit of a spacey head effect that comes with it, but it's much more focused on the body and I always feel pretty awesome after a bowl of this stuff. Overall, I like this strain and if you're into indicas, I'd say give it a shot. Gorilla Glue #4 (Popcorn) - This strain is barely sativa-dominant (55-45) and gives off a sort of sour citrus scent. It was sold as popcorn but there are some surprisingly large nugs in there. I've mostly been smoking it in joints since I've had so dang much of the stuff, and it works well for that purpose. It rolls and smokes easily, with no struggling to keep the joint lit. The ash is more gray than pure white, and while I wouldn't say the smoke is harsh, it could certainly taste better. As far as the effects are concerned, I'd say it's good by the standards of 100 bucks an ounce weed. It won't knock your socks off, but it won't leave you feeling sober five minutes after you're done smoking either. Overall, it's pretty alright. It'd be nice if it smoked a bit cleaner, but that's the only major complaint I have at this price point. With that said, I'd be disappointed if I'd paid the 180 per ounce that the non-popcorn version of this strain retails for, if the potency is similar. Conclusion: While this was a solid order, it was a little hit or miss at times. The Super Silver Haze is definitely the highlight, though the Snow White is also excellent cannabis. The GG#4 is good for 100 dollar popcorn, but I wouldn't want to buy it at full price. The Brainstorm just wasn't quite doing it for me enough to justify the cost, even though it's not bad stuff objectively speaking. Overall, I don't see myself becoming a frequent customer of Rocket Chronic. It's not a bad place by any means, but I only have so much money to spend on weed and there's other MOMs that have better deals on comparable product. If I spot a good sale at the right time, I could easily see myself patronizing Rocket Chronic again, but I don't see it entering my top-tier of go-to sites. MOM Name: Rocket Chronic Overall rating out of 10: 8/10 Sign Up: Very quick sign up, no ID required. Ordering & Pricing: I ordered a half ounce of their Strawberry Cream for $160. I also added in a Flyte Cartridge refill, for an additional $50. Shipping is free on orders over 150, and I used the coupon code 'new10' to receive $21 off bringing the total to $198.45. They did charge $9.45 as tax, which isn't very good in my opinion, because I doubt they're paying those taxes to the govt. That alone takes 1 point off of the overall rating. Communication: Communication was good, I spoke to someone on the livechat who was able to recommend the Strawberry Cream to me when I inquired about the most potent strains they have available. I also asked for a sample in the order notes of Space Cake and they did throw that in as well. Packaging: Packaging was a regular Xpresspost envelope, followed by a vacuum seal which contained 14g of Strawberry Cream in a resealable bag, a small amount of Space Cake in a small ziplock, and the Flyte Cartridge in a little tube. Nothing wrong with the packaging, would've preferred a box to make sure the nugs didn't get squished but all nugs seemed to be in good shape. Products / Photos: Strawberry Cream was excellent, the nugs ranged from 0.5 to up to 3 grams! Very potent strain, that gives a heavy couchlock. The smell upon opening the bag is unbelievable, a very fruity smell emerges that quickly fills up the whole room. The buds were well cured and were not overly dry. Visually, the nugs are very appealing and covered in crystals. The taste is also excellent, with hints of strawberry followed by a cream/cake aftertaste that lingers. I would definitely purchase this again, it is a must try. The Flyte pen is a very good vape, tasted just like tangerine which is the flavour I ordered. It gets you very high very quickly, and is discreet with a very slight odour that goes away nearly instantly. Would recommend for anyone looking to get a distillate vape. Rocket Chronic / Bud Bargain Review - May 2018

More about that in the notes. Packaging:Top notch, product wasn't crushed by packaging Products / Photos: I also ordered some Mary's sativa bunnies and a Miss Envy Buddha Bar. I haven't tried the bunnies yet and the THC stick works well. Red Congo Classic Red Congo taste and smell. White ash, nice energetic high as you would expect. Dishes were done after I smoked this one! Blue Dream: Not much nose when I opened the bag, was expecting the opposite. The classic 'blue' smell came when breaking open a nug. As you can see from the picture, the bugs are really pale and the hairs are almost white. It smokes well, has good taste and isn't harsh at all. It does give me the classic Blue Dream high. Not quite sure what to think of the appearance though. Samples: Chocolope: Bit of that chocolate taste, fruity taste there for sure when toking on a joint. Ash is grey-ish. Smooth smoke. This was a good sample that weighed in at 1.8g. Liked the product and was curious to try some chocolope for a while. Somehow, at times I felt like I was getting some sort of cheese odor in there. Will def. consider it on next orders. Gorilla Glue #4: Least favorite of the samples. I've had other GG from other Mom's before and I'm thinking this strain isn't made for me. Barely gets me high, barely any taste (although it does taste good, just not much flavor profile). White ash, well cured. Can't really complain but not for me. God's Green Crack: This sample was a beautiful purple and tastes amazing. Greate high too. Well cured, White ash and smooth smoke. I expected more taste out of it but the high was great. Great bag appeal. Incentive for Customers:Not too sure, would have to check. Incentive for Review: None Notes:Alright here's the story with this order. I originally placed an order at both RC and BB on the same day, which was Monday the 22nd. I follow up on the tracking on the day of expected delivery only to find both orders being returned to sender. Now upon sending both emt's I noticed that the e-mail addresses were very similar and both tracking numbers were also very similar. I sent an e-mail to Rocket Chronic explaining the situation and to ask for advice on what to do next. I figured, I might as well ask them if they are sister companies as it may simplify the communication. I was confirmed that they are indeed sister companies, now this is where they shined. I realized later that day that I had made the mistake of trusting my auto-fill feature on my browser to complete my address. Bad idea. I was missing my complex number. The staff at Rocket Chronic never made me feel bad about this, they were supportive and clear in their instructions. I was offered to either have the order refunded without the shipping fee, or to have the orders shipped back but I would have to pay the shipping fee again. I took the latter option and they shipped everything back in one box. I can't say enough about how that made me feel to know that mistakes happens and solutions can be found. I will surely be looking to order there again. TL;DR: I made a mistake, was given two very reasonable options, got all my products in the end.

Vacuum sealed and in a ziplock bag. Nice clean looking labels. Packaging is good quality just like their products packaging.jpg Products / Photos: Phantom OG: Super dense buds, frosted, medium sized, and very nice smelling. Smoke was amazing. Very nice quality Space Cake: VERY nice looking. Dense just like the Phantom but much taller. Every single nug was big. Smell isnt as strong but smoke was good. Nice buzz. God's Green Crack: My favorite! Buds are not as big compared to the others but the smell is fucken AMAZING. Caked out to the max (yes my picture doesnt really show it) Buds are dense and some has a purple hint to it. The smoke was smooth. I am ordering this one again. Not has cheap as other moms but the quality is in the packaging and buds!

Prices seem to be about mid-range as far as the MoMs I've seen. Ounces of flower currently range from 180 to 300, with a wide range of strains being available. They also have a pretty large selection of concentrates, edibles, and CBD products for sale. Communication: I didn't need to communicate beyond the automated emails, so I can't comment on their email response time or anything like that. I will say that they were very quick to get my order processed and sent out. I placed my order late at night on 4/20 (Friday), it was shipped on Monday, and reached me here in Ontario Wednesday morning. Packaging: The packaging was excellent. The box was plain white and contained no markings that would indicate the contents. There was a clear vacuum-sealed bag inside which contained the product. I got an ounce mixer, and each strain was contained in its own thick plastic bag. The outer bag contained a Boveda pack. Products / Photos: My $$$-grade ounce mixer contained four strains: Chocolope (Sativa), Blue Amnesia (Hybrid), Black Tuna (Hybrid), and Black Diamond (Indica), which came to a total of 153 dollars (180 minus 27 from their 15% off 420 sale). All four smell extremely pungent and the taste is excellent. Generally speaking, I don't get much flavour from cannabis when I smoke it. It usually just tastes like smoke. This stuff actually tastes good when you smoke it and it's freaking awesome. I especially like the Chocolope, which has become my go-to 'functional' cannabis. There's all but no burnout associated with it and gives a nice, clear-headed high that's great for getting stuff done. If you decide to try it out, I'd suggest smoking it out of a pipe or bong. I rolled a joint of the stuff and, while it was perfectly fine, I find that it hits a lot harder and really comes alive when you roast it in a bowl. The Black Diamond is great too; I just finished a joint of it and it's definitely got me chilled right out and ready for bed. I haven't smoked enough of the other two to give any real review, but I had a bowl of each and enjoyed them both. I'm really impressed with the product quality overall. There were no freebies in the box aside from a sticker, but I'm certainly not complaining. Just posted this in Reddit Overall Rating 10:10 Customer Service: Amazing support from these guys. I wanted more Bruce Banner but it was sold out. They emailed me substitute strains that they havent even put up on their website yet and asked if I wanted to give those a try. Im glad I did. Everything I got from that order has been fire. Stardust: This strain is caked out, the picture they sent me at the time didnt do any justice. Its frosty AF. Muerte: This is always been one of my top strains. Nice smell and taste awesome. I will definitely order this one again, if they have stock, seems like they sell out fast. Buds were on the smaller size but still get the job done. Purple White Lightning: Filled with crystals. Good size bud. Also has a nice smell and taste even better. Had the best sleep after smoking this one. Black Tuna: Very strong potent smell and it also tastes great. The buds are pretty dense and have a good size. Pretty frosty but not as frosty as the ones mentioned above. Grand Daddy Purple: I said surprise me and they gave me this one. The ive never seen bud so fucken huge. lmao. Also has a lot of crystals. Incentive: None, they did ask if I was happy with their service to give them a review. They are very friendly and knowledgable. They took pictures of strains with their phone and emailed them to me so I could see before I made the order. The nice gesture was enough for me to leave a review.
