Blackberry Cookies - TheGreenAce - October 2019

Not sure what the genetics are of this strain but I'm guessing blackberry og x gsc or one of it's phenos. The bag appeal is there with sticky & chunky buds that are both frosty and neatly trimmed with little sugar leaf and plenty of amber trichs. Nice colors too with purple streaks going all throughout the buds. This stuff is quite terpy and certainly smells/tastes like a combo of blackberries and cookies. Really sweet and savory, with notes of cookies and sweet berries that reach a slight sourness on the exhale. A joy to smoke as it's easy on the lungs and burn a salt and pepper ash in a bong. The high is very typical of anything cookies I've ever tried. Heady and relaxing with uplifting and euphoric effects. Pretty decent couch lock too but won't tire you out too much, making it an ideal afternoon smoke.

Tangerine Dream - TheGreenAce - October 2019

Been a while since I had tangerine dream. A cross of G13, Afghani, and Nevilles A5 Haze, and surprisingly no Blue Dream. This one from TGA came as a real dense and sticky bud, sporting a tight, neat trim, covered in a layer of trichomes. Tough to pry apart the sticky buds but still snapped nicely indicating a good moisture level. The aroma this one produces is very pronounced with notes of sweet and tangy citrus with a peppery finish. Very flavorful on exhale with a tangy and herbal aftertaste. Kind of reminds me of celery for some reason and the people smoking with me at the time agreed lol. Pretty smooth though, even with it's thick smoke, as well as clean burning, producing a lighter ash in a bong. The buzz is fairly potent, bringing on a heavy cerebral high with uplifting effects, followed by a lazy body stone. A real balanced, jack of all trades type of high if you will. I enjoyed this one the most along with the Mendocino Purple.

From the jar the buds seem leafy, crystally, some red hairs but not many. Pretty well trimmed with only few half-leaves left over. Without hesitation we're getting a GASSY, hint of SWEETNESS (but pale in comparison). Probably one of the most 'pure' gas/diesel smells you can really get from buds. We tend to see that the diesel strains are usually a bit stronger than fruity strains so hopefully it remains true. Cracking it open we get an even stronger gassy smell to the point it almost knocks you back a bit. The buds, tho whole and 'neat' maintain quite a fluffy non-dense structure meaning we get little discoloration (a bit lighter) to the core and consistent frosty-ness. Grinding it up we get a bit less than we expected from the 0.6grams but instead if a STICKY bud (sticks to fingers, to itself, leaves hands sounds sticky). This is pretty consistent with other gassy strains we've come across with a matching STRONG diesel smell (and perhaps an equally high THC content). After trying it from the vape we got one of the most UNIQUE combination of flavors we've come across. Obvs. diesel flavor was the first we got hit ... with an odd twist. Soon after we got a skunky flavor which was best described as instead of the bitterness of gas/diesel we had a sweeter, more cooked-food flavor which added nicely to the buds spectrum. From the pipe we get a light grey to dark grey ash. The smoking experience was not THAT smooth (could have been smoother). We got a bit of that diesel flavor, light on the lungs. The effects were pretty heavy indica (no body buzz but rather brain dead) meaning you cold walk around, do chores and not really think too much. Safe to say it was a head-buzz indica effect rather than couch lock body buzz. Effects kicked in right away and continued to creep up over the next 5-10 mins. Overall, looking back at other King Louis we had the flavors, effects and smells very closely resemble this one from months later. A nice looking bud, strong smell, unique vape combination and tolerable indica effects makes it a solid choice for after-work smokes. Perhaps due to our ability to judge more tastes we get this unique, skunky-ish flavor near the tip of the tongue which was a nice surprise over what would be a boring, run-of-the-mill diesel/gas experience.

Overall AAAA 9.3/10 potency 9.5/10 taste 9/10 smell 9.8/10 type of effects (subjective) 9.9/10 Lineage: Gorilla Glue #4 x Thin Mint GSC (originally bred by Elev8 seeds) Really impressed with my first product from The Green Ace. I opted for one of their quads and it lives up to the grade. This is very high quality cannabis. The smell is very strongly sweet, with a bit of a gorilla glue like mintiness as well, with a dank/gassy background. The smell translates pretty well to the taste, and the potency is as good as you'd expect from a gorilla glue #4 cross, which is to say it's very potent.

Ordering & Pricing: The win was a choice between their Gas Demon bundle or their top shelf AAAA mix and match OZ. I went for the mix and match OZ for more variety and also not a fan of death bubba (which was half the demon bundle). Didn't check individual price on the items I chose but TGA has good price/value weed as usual. Communication: Quick courteous replies. Didn't get tracking immediately, but free is free, hard to complain :) Prob just forgot, when I asked for it by email I got it almost instantly. Packaging: Bubble mailer, vac sealed, then mylar style zips all well labeled, buds are intact, all is good. This is definitely a more cookie leaning version of it (others I've had were more grapes/sweet). This is some of the best cookies leaning version of it I've had. Size of buds: 8/10 Average for the most part, one bigger bud (pictured) Bag Appeal: 8/10 Nice purple color, some cake but not excessive, good trim Cure & Humidity: 7.5/10 Cure is good but it's dryer than I like Smell: 8/10 Smells real nice, but does not have the grape/sweet taste I associate with PSC usually. Definitely has some GSC nose to it, that distinct peppery kush smell. Harshness vs Smoothness: 9/10 Very smooth smoke, can take pretty huge tokes without choking. Taste Intensity: 8/10 I might not be the best to judge cookie strains as their terps do not seem to register much for me, but this was some of the best cookie-cross I've had in terms of intensity. Very nice smoke, extremely subtle hints of grape/sweetness coming through. Taste Complexity: 9/10 Very much enjoyed the range of terps on this one. Some pepper, some savory, some kush, some grape, some sweetness. I'm less into peppery in general as many know, but this one was subtle on that terp and there's a nice mix of everything in there. Buzz Intensity: 8/10 Not the strongest PSC I've had but very decent, no complaints! Definitely is sour but could not taste or smell any diesel in there. Size of buds: 9/10 One huge 4.8g bud with 2 tiny ones. I split this quarter with another Discord user and took the pics after shipping his half, kept only the smaller ones. Bag Appeal: 7/10 Looks pretty generic as far as colors and everything goes. The 4.8g nug was extremely compact and had a very close trim. Looks nothing special, but as you can see on the microscope pic, it's next level caked. Cure & Humidity: 6/10 Very dry, driest of the 4 strains I got in this pack. Smell: 7/10 It has a nice smell, but it's very muted by the dryness Harshness vs Smoothness: 9/10 Very smooth smoke but if you take a very large toke, it does have some bite at the end. Taste Intensity: 9/10 This is not a super intense strain in terms of taste, but it still totally overtakes the smoke. I was surprised that a strain with such mute nose would taste that bold. Real nice. Taste Complexity: 8/10 The sourness is pretty much the only thing that comes through but it's really nice. Reminds me sour cream, the smoke is very think and creamy and the bigger the toke, the more sour it gets. Buzz Intensity: 9/10 Really nice sativa buzz. Trim is a bit rough, but it has nice colors. Cure & Humidity: 9/10 This was the less dry of all strains and still had some plush to it, very good cure. Bigger buds of this must have been epic. Smell: 8/10 Doesn't smell very strong (like all GSC crosses IMHO) but it does smell real nice. A mix of kush, pepper and sweetness. Harshness vs Smoothness: 8/10 Smooth smoke, no complaints. Taste Intensity: 7/10 Doesn't have a very intense taste, but it definitely overpowers the smoke Taste Complexity: 8/10 Nice mix of pepper, kush and sweetness. I expected something gassy, but I was taken aback because the smell right out of the bag was dominantly fruity. Reminds me a bit of White Widow, minus the pine/skunk hints. Size of buds: 6/10 Pretty small buds Bag Appeal: 7/10 Again the small buds makes it hard to appreciate visually. The trim is good, the buds are round and dense. Not much cake to be seen with the naked eye. Cure & Humidity: 7/10 On the dry side Smell: 8/10 It was out of the 4 strains the nicest smelling one by far, but it was not intense (mainly due to dryness). Harshness vs Smoothness: 9/10 Very smooth, no complaints! Taste Intensity: 9/10 Very good taste, takes over the smoke totally, it's all terps Taste Complexity: 9/10 I totally did not expect this from the smell, but this strain had a sourness as it's dominant taste. In fact, it was very close in taste to the Sour Diesel, a sharp sour taste. The fruitiness that dominated the bag smell does not really translate into the taste, but the sweetness of it definitely does, complementing the sourness really well. This was a pleasure to smoke. Buzz Intensity: 8/10 Similar to the Sour Diesel again, sativa buzz, little crash, nothing super strong, but very competent. Price: Sold at 225/OZ Value: Again the dryness disqualifies it as a true quad and 225 might be a bit steep, but it's still acceptable considering it's a very nice smoke overall. 'A' Scale Rating: Sold as AAA+, I agree with that rating. Incentive for Customers: TGA has above average weed at low prices. None of it I'd call true quads from what I tried, but consistent legit good AAA+ stuff. Incentive for Review: None, I review all I get. Notes: As with my previous review of them, their flower is a bit on the dry side. I prefer more humid, but it's still well within acceptable range.
