Service + Shipping - Good as always with TopShelfBC Bag Appeal - Initially there wasn't the greatest bag appeal because there was some moderate stem amount, enough to want to remove the big stems before grinding on lots of the buds, but that is mainly just due to the batch and small buds that was noted in the product page. Besides the moderate amount of stems it is completely fine though, pretty sticky, dense, hairy (as you can see), nicely colourful, and has a refreshing smell that isn't too skunky but has some skunky tones. Smoke/High - Great smoke and high, not too harsh to do really big hits out of the bong and has a decent taste, the taste isn't anything too special. I found the high is a quality hybrid high, at 60 indica 40 sativa, I was somewhat able to focus and be productive but not as much as a pure sativa and gives me munchies and zoning out from the indica. The ash is almost fully white. Overall - Great strain, I don't think you can go wrong with it but as a sativa fan its not the greatest.. 7/10

Blue Cheese || Top Shelf BC || Early February

The Blue Cheese had great smell to it, classic cheesey smell, although not as super stinky and complete funky cheese to blueberry juice, it still had that cheesey nose. It's not anything crazy to look at, no serious frost, but the buds are big, dense and not leafy at all. Taste on smoking was not there, joint or bong. It has a bit of a pleasant earthiness to it, but none of the cheesey smell carries through to taste from my experience. This was a let down as I find the cheese flavour immensely satisfying. However, I did find that the high was very nice and gave me the classic blue cheese high; it makes my eyes squinty and makes me not be able to stop smiling, appreciating the humour in the absurdities of everything. So, overall it was a great value since I only paid less then 110 delivery included for a z of 4 different strains, this one included. Hawaiian Punch || Top Shelf BC || Early February

The Hawaiian Punch was the star of my purchase with Top Shelf BC. I did the double stacking of the coupons and got a nice variety pack at a great price (under 110/z dleivered) but this was the best of the bunch. It has a sweet slightly spicy tropical smell, almost similar to the sweet romulan, but less sweet and more tropical spicy with some fresh smells and just a hint of something like bubba kush sweet kushy earthiness in the back. The flavour does fully come through as well, and isn't too harsh, despite the excess leaves. The high is also on point, being a nice euphoric strain perfect for the day. A bit dazey, but stimulating and still leading to the ability to be productive, despite it's potency. My favourite, and over 5 grams of it was one big bud. Didn't hurt. Appearance: 7/10 (picture doesn't do it justice, it's very caked despite the extra leaves too) Smell: 8/10 Taste: 8/10 Potency: 7.5/10 Effects: 8/10 Overall: 7.8/10 Value: 8.5/10

OG Shark Smalls || Top Shelf BC || Early February

The OG Shark smalls were a bit of a let down. They looked so nice and were just marked as the smalls of a AAAA, so I threw it i to the ounce combo. Appearance is great for smalls, very crystally despite the extra leaves and smaller size, the taste and smell, however, were more like old weed that lost it's original flavour. It is decently potent though and is not too indica for the day time, but overall is my least favourite of the selections I got. Appearance: 7.5/10 Smell: 5/10 Taste: 5/10 Potency: 7.5/10 Effects: 7/10 Overall: 6/10 Value: 7/10

Ordered a mixed oz with 14g of Hawaiian Punch and 7 each of El Muerte and Blueberry OG. Package came in surprinsingly quick and was vacuum sealed. I’d like to mention because it’s awesome to see, every bag was about .5g overweighted. Pictures : https://imgur.com/gallery/qjzBWJ2 Hawaiian Punch (AAA) : This strain had really beautiful light green nugs that were well dusted with trichomes, probably just about visual quads for me. The smell of really nice, fruity and orangey. Smoke wise this is pretty smooth, with nice thick and slightly citrusy sweet exhale. I can’t get too much into taste because I only really smoked this out of a bong, which in my opinion doesn’t give a great idea of the taste. Great potency with a nice sativa leaning good daytime high. Quality 8.5/10 Value 10/10 Blueberry OG (AAA) : Only way I can describe this strain visually is purple, when ground up it really does look like if you ground a flower haha, very nice deep violets and all that good stuff. As for smell, it has that nice “blue” smell that you’ll find in strains with blueberry genetics as well as some nice gas. Out of the bong this is a pretty smooth toke, has that lung expanding gassiness you’d expect to find in an OG cross as well a more muted fruitiness that’s similar to the nose. Respectable potency that’s not too much lower than the Hawaiin’s. Only downside to this quarter was the fact that there were some micro seeds, just smaller than a BB, only about 3-4 to the quarter though. Quality 7.75/10 Value 10/10 El Muerte (AAAA-) : Definitely my favourite, doesn’t look absolutely amazing visually, and the nose is a bit muted, though you do get some nice gassiness. But the smoothness of this strain, as well as the frickin delicious minty and gassy taste. As for potency this was the highest for sure, a well packed bowl kicks my ass, which I can’t say for much weed I’ve smoked in the last 8-9 months. Quality 9.25/10 Value 10/10 Have great tokes and a great day!

Ordered a mix n match oz off of topshelf at the end of december 2020, got 14g of hawaiian punch and 7 each of El Muerte and Blueberry OG. Got it for around 125 dollars or so with discounts. Hawaiian Punch was nice, has some real nice fruity terps on the nose and a smooth and kind of citrusy sweet exhale, taste was nice all around but I mostly smoke out of a bong so I’m not exactly getting the best tasting experience. Obviously have to mention the great looks too, definitely visual quads if you ask me. Potency was on point with a nice heady and good daytime high. Quality 8.5/10 Value 10/10 El Muerte was the AAAA- that I added on the mix n match, really amazingly smooth, not an immense amount going on for the nose except for some faint-ish gas,but the taste is great, minty and gassy, definitely my favourite. It’s potency was nice and high, would get good and toasty off of only one bowl. Quality 9/10 Value 10/10 Blueberry OG was a pretty nice batch, a whole crap ton of purple all over it, busted up in the grinder there’s more purple than there is green, although I do have to say there were some micro seeds in the buds, but only about 3-4 in the 7 g which were each a bit smaller than a BB. Smoke was smooth as long as you got them out though, has some really tasty gassy terps along with a bit of fruitiness. Wasn’t quite as potent as the others, but was still perfectly fine. Quality 7.75/10 Value 9.5/10

Hawaiian Punch - TopshelfBC - January 2021

It's not often that I renew a strain as soon as I finish it, I didn't have much choices... Today won't be a full review, it's more of an update to the last batch, it was said to be a bit leafier but highly covered in trichs and it was true. I did trim a bit but not much. It's super terpy, sweet and fruity, same perfect buzz for daytime and the begining of the evening than the last batch... Very nice. Guess if I'm going to renew again as soon as I'll finish it? For sure. ??
