Ice cream cake from True Craft Cannabis is a good night time smoke. It had good bag appeal, was potent, the bud structure was dense and the nugs were covered in trichomes, and burned pretty decent. I’d give it a 9/10.

# Mandarin Cookies - True Craft Cannabis - Dec # (**17/20**)Packaging: Came in a small glass jar that fit the quarter perfectly, size was great for moving onto other things when you are done with them. Bud was fresh upon opening still sticky and stanky. The jar has a small printed label on the front in a large font that easily let you know what strain was inside. (**17/20**) Smell: I really get the orangy-citrus smell from this jar I would lean it more towards a Tangerine odor because it slightly has a sour smell to it, followed after the subtle fruity smell is the cookie smell everyone knows and loves it had that deep pungent odor that would linger for at least 2 full inhales after smelling the jar. I had Sugar Cookies from SG Recently and this strain strongly resembled the odor that came from that strain. (**16/20**) Appearance/Texture: This bud was completely on the green spectrum ranging from light to dark greens top to bottom with a light orange pistol that was dominant on the heads of the bud. Every bud was almost “Arrow-Head” shaped, even though this bud felt “drier” on the outside but the inside was sticky, it was SO STICKY I cant even describe how well this flower rolled it went into a tube shape without even needing a paper and still smoked absolutely perfect, the resiny THC that coated the bud top to bottom absolutely let you no it was ready to punch hard. (**20/20**) Taste: Wow what an amazing mandarin flavor I take back what I said about the smell being more like a tangerine and slightly sour, the taste that comes through is a sweet orangy mandarin flavor that you end up licking your lips too. I was absolutely blown away because the bud did not carry a heavy smell of citrus type terps, the smell was there but not as strong as it comes threw in the taste. (**18/20**)Potency: What an awesome bud for the morning, what a killer smoke the flavor just sets you up in the right mood and gets you ready to combat the day. You don't get the hard core eye closure and the buzz is more of a boost of energy this strain really smokes like they thought out the genetics of a few solid sativa strains and made a super sativa. Normally I find myself super lazy with some hardcore indicas, this strain however I felt myself more motivated to do random stuff. I found myself dabbing some sauce in the background and letting the anti-anxiety effects and clear mind of the Mandarin Cookies take place in the back round its an awesome combo. TOTAL RATING: **88/100** Final Thoughts: This is one of those strains that you are glad you grabbed even though the bag appeal isn't quite there. The flavor and smooth smoke really makes up for the appearance, This smoke was super enjoyable and the flavor came through instead of the resin oily nastiness that usually builds up. MoM/Retailer Name True Craft Cannabis Shipping/Packaging Shipped out of Edmonton and made it here to Toronto in 2 business days. Both strains came in little glass jars with a label of the strain name and then vacuum sealed. Packaged in a bubble mailer but he has since moved on to boxes which is even better. It has such a lovely appearance and bag appeal, with vibrant shades of greens and purples, with bright orange hairs throughout. All covered in a frosty blanket of trichomes. Not overly sticky but what I would deem as an ideal moisture level. Very easy to roll and it grinds up nice and fluffy but will stick together when pressed between the fingers. A cross of Wedding Cake and Gelato and this strain delivers the best of both worlds in it's aroma and flavour profile. Such a sugary, sweet and creamy smell that is so pleasant, with lingering notes of vanilla and baked goods. Translates to taste flawlessly when smoked, and is even more pronounced than the smell, with a flavour that completely coats the pallet. It's one of the terpier strains I've had as of late. Burned clean and slow as well, producing an instant oil ring. As far as dessert strains go, this one was a real treat and the effects on it are rather potent and perfect for evening use and chilling around at home. It has a super relaxing demeanor, with couch locking effects that intensify with time, but also very euphoric. As a daily smoker with a high tolerance this one got me absolutely cooked. It's terrific in any way and this one even exceeded my expectations. It may even give the Ice Cream Cake a run for it's money in terms of frostyness and appearance. Lively and vibrant light greens to accompany the purple hues and dark green sugar leaves. Many orange hairs as well giving it a plethora of colours. Moderate moisture level, probably got just a tad drier than usual with the cold weather but an Integra had it perfect again. The aroma is subtle at first with a gentle sweetness and when broken up several other smells are introduced. It becomes even richer in sweetness, with added notes of spices and kush from it's OGKB lineage. Also hints of something floral in there. It carries over when smoked as well and it's impressive how smooth it is on every exhale. Remained flavorful throughout the whole joint, burning slow and resinous with a light coloured ash. Thick smoke but not harsh at all which is what I love especially because I use a bong a lot. I found the buzz to come on quick and hit me smack between the eyes, offering a spacey head high at first. It eventually spread to the rest of the body, bringing on a wave of relaxation, and glued me in my place. Just sat back for the night and didn't get up for a while, enjoying the full body buzzing effects. The high seems to last a decent amount of time as well without smoking too much. Starting with the appearance and texture of the frosty buds, which are finely cured and sport an olive green colour. Also some purple hues throughout, with long, tan hairs. Ideal moisture level, with a sticky but not damp texture. The type of flower that is easy to roll as it forms and sticks to the paper. A very aromatic flower and the terpene profile of this MAC is quite complex and offers so many different aromas every time you go in for a sniff. At first it gives off a rich and floral scent, almost like a rose. Then it becomes sweet and sour like, with citrus subtleties, and hints of gas and earth. Translates well when smoked with all those flavours coming out in the form of a very smooth, but heavy smoke. So easy to toke on and not harsh at all. Burned a clean and fluffy white ash with an oil ring, indicating a clean flush and a potent, resinous flower. The high this MAC offers is definitely on the indica leaning side in it's relaxing and calming effects but not heavily sedating. Instead, it was perfect for just hanging around on a lazy day with not much to do, or winding down in the evening. It also offered an upbeat and euphoric high that lasted a decent amount of time. A great example of an organic craft grow that can be super tasty without sacrificing potency. Incentive This sample was provided for an honest and unbiased review. Final Notes True Craft Cannabis is an organic, premium, boutique craft producer, with all operations from the grow, the packaging, and the shipping coming directly from them. I can definitely tell that there was time, love, and care put into this MAC. It's clearly evident when handled, smelled, and smoked. Just clean and effective medicine. I would love to try some of the other strains as there are some really cool and unique genetics on the site as well. I also communicated with them through Instagram quite a bit and got met with nothing but friendliness and professionalism. Definitely a great first experience, all around.
