Arriving on the dense and sticky side with a fresh, snappy texture and tight trim. Shades of forest green and dark purple make up the appearance followed by a moderate amount of milky trichs and copper orange pistils.
The profile o...f this GSC actually reminded me of a Platinum GSC as it's got a very aggressive spicy fuel scent with herbal, nutty, and cookie undertones. Real pungent and sharp. The flavours are similar with a spicy cookie taste as well as hints of earth and fuel, burning with a bit of a darker grey ash. Still seems to smoke quite smoothly with a medium sized resin ring.
A balanced high of medium potency with a little of everything to offer, beginning with a calm and focused cerebral buzz that becomes stronger and slightly spacey with time. It's also generally uplifting and relaxing in nature without ever feeling cumbersome. A great value for the 100/zip tag.
Obtained some beautiful flower from THC to review this week and couldn't help myself to not begin with this awesome batch of Tangeri...ne Dream. It's been a minute since last smoking this G13 x Afghani x Neville's A5 Haze cross by Barney's Farm. Super chunky buds that are rock solid and compact with an ultra sticky texture and perfect humidity, forming a patty in the grinder that you can turn upside down without budging. Vibrant bright greens are carefully met by faint purples and a smattering of wispy peachy orange hairs. Generously submerged in an impressive coating of greasy trichomes that despite the super close trim are still very abundant and intact.
A lot going on in the aroma department with a very lively and pungent profile that includes a nutty herbal dankness paired with a sweet floral musk. Also some spicy notes in the mix with delicate hints of sugary citrus upon longer sniffs. Very complex and layered. The flavours are just as intriguing and quite oldschool as you could expect from it's lineage. I get a burnt rubber kinda funk with a floral, spicy, skunky kick and hints of tangy citrus. The burn is A+, producing a real thick yet smooth smoke with a thick resin ring and lovely light ash.
The effects are slightly sativa leaning with a great potency to boot. It wastes no time, going straight to the head moments into a sesh, bringing on a very cerebrally focused and tranquil high that is clear headed and immersive. Found it to be awesome for anything that involves being a little creative and productive. In my case it turned out to be reviews and photography. It does come with it's relaxing qualities as well, allowing it to be enjoyed as an evening strain too and one that lasts a noticeable amount of time.
Saved my favourite for last out of the three Cookies & Gas strains I tried. This one is an intriguing cross of Apple Fritter & Gascream... Cake. Arriving as two buds, one large five gram cola with along with a two gram nug making up the quarter. Beautiful visuals once again with a mixture of dark and forest greens as well as subtle hints of purple. Followed up by a fair amount of peach orange hairs and generous share of trichomes. Extremely sticky and snappy with a dense, gummy texture.
A real special nose on this Apples & Gascream and one I don't think I've ever come across before. I get an artificial green apple candy or body wash smell with creamy, fruity, gassy, and earthy undertones. The flavours took me for a bit of a ride because they are completely different from bong to joint. In a bong it leaves a little to be desired and is mainly earthy and slightly sweet with a hint of fruitiness and gas but in a joint it really comes alive. Sweet fruity apple candy and creamy kushy gas with an earthy finish on exhale. Really makes the entire house smell amazing when combusted, burning with a light grey ash and healthy sized resin ring.
The high produced by this strain sits comfortably around the hybrid mark for the majority of time with a bit more of an indica influence towards the latter stages. Potent and very heady with a spacey and silly/happy go lucky kind of stone with an ear to ear smile and glossed over eyes. It's relaxing side soon kicks in and brings with it a mellow, calming couch lock and minor sedation, ideal for afternoons and evenings alike.
I've had Tire Fire before but this is my first time trying Park Fire OG, an OG fueled cross between classics OG Kush & SFV OG. The nugs are hella compact, dense, and sticky with an excellent trim an...d cure to follow. Colours are a vibrant blend of light greens and purples with a crazy amount of fluorescent orange pistils. Good trichome coverage as well.
An aroma profile that took me by suprise as I assumed it would be more of an earthy gassy kushy OG type but it's quite different. Really pleasant, slightly sweet, citrusy, floral nose with a diesel accented background. Not like a Mimosa or Tropicanna Cookie type citrus but more like a Mandarin Cookies or Citrus Skunk. Flavours are similar but not as sweet and danker with an added skunky twang to compliment the subtle citrus, floral, and diesel notes. Nice and clean burning with a white ash followed by a hefty oil ring.
This one packs a decent potency with indica leaning characteristics that are somewhat creeper like, offering a stoney and focused head high with calming, couch locking qualities. I wouldn't say it's overly heavy in a sedating sense as it's an OG I can enjoy at anytime of the day but it does have a tendency to cause a bit of a burnout in larger quantities.
Gorgeous full sized buds, each one nicer than the next with a lovely sweet grape/berry punch nose that s...emi translates to taste with a clean burn and great hybrid high. Just wish it was a little stickier as it arrived a bit drier than I would like. Still a great representation of a great strain. Definitely one I'd go back for in the future as OGHB kills it.
My first outing with this outrageous looking cultivar. A 3rd Coast Genetics bred cross between Secret Weapon & Cook...ies & Cream and grown by KK. Has to be the most caked bud I've had in my possession, certainly top three. Even the stems are blanketed in them. I couldn't stop taking videos and pictures and destroying them in the grinder brought a tear to my eye. The cure is wonderful as is the perfect and careful trim, leaving so many intact heads thriving. Ultra dense and sticky, needing a little extra effort to break up and really grinds up huge due to it being so compact. Can't forget her gorgeous colour scheme, combining multiple shades of green with hints of violet and copper orange pistils. My pictures don't do them full justice as the lighting could have been better!
The nose in an interesting one that takes a little time to fully appreciate it's many complex nuances. It isn't as simple as a chocolate cookie smell but there is certainly something there. Musky, nutty, slightly sweet cookie aromas followed by undertones of earth and cocoa that faintly linger in the background. Flavours are the same more or less, producing a rich, sweet cookie flavour with a herbal, spicy, dark chocolate backing. Really notice the flavours to pop in a joint more than a bong. The smoke is silky smooth, burning with a clean light ash and thick resin ring.
The high is noticeably potent and offers both cerebral and physical aspects simultaneously. A single bowl had me satisfied, and perhaps distracted from doing another as it leaves you effectively spaced out and thought scattered. Probably not the most ideal buzz if you're trying to stay focused or productive. Incredible however if you're solely trying to kick back, paired with a happy go lucky vibe and mellow body buzz. Not a KO or overly sedating, making it enjoyable throughout the day as well as night. Glad I got to try this one without a doubt.
First encounter with this wicked strain and one I've heard a lot about. A three way cross of Triangle Kush x Og Kush x Gelato, arriving feeling mod...erately sticky and greasy with a dense, crisp exterior. I'll do my best at describing the terps as it's been a while since last smoking it but I remember getting a spicy, nutty, sweet, kushy nose. The flavours were spicy and kushy and honestly reminded me of a soup bouillon. Oriental Beef stock to be exact. Also some floral/perfumey hints on the exhale. The high was a strong indica leaning one as I recall with a heavy potency and sense of physical and mental relaxation that ultimately lead to an immobilizing and sedating couch lock.
Ps, really had fun taking trichome closeups of this flower if you can tell lol.
I've always wanted to try this strain since it came out and especially as a huge fan of the show. Not an easy one to track down it's lineage but what i...s known is that it's an indica dom and this particular batch is organically grown. Outstanding bag appeal on this gal with phenomenal colours ranging from light and dark purple to hints of sage green peeking through a velvet textured surface littered in long stalked trichomes and lanky orange pistils. The exterior may feel a little crisp at first but it's just the matted down sugar leaf as breaking into a nug reveals a sticky snappy texture. They have a light and fluffy feel to them as well.
An interesting nose that although isn't the strongest smells very pleasant and familiar. Earthy, herbal, and slightly sour with a hint of berries. Reminds me of a certain herbal berry tea I had. Flavours are a little different, bringing on sweet, woody, and herbal notes. Once again a little on the tamer side. Joints burn with a small to medium sized oil ring and dark grey ash with a lighter grey centre.
Effects are of the mellow, medium potency calibre and overall quite balanced for an indica dominant strain. Very laid back and easygoing with a mild mannered and uplifting high. Feel like I could smoke it at any point in the day and still be functional enough to remain productive.
Up next from BcCannCo, LSO grown Papa Citrus. A strain I couldn't find anything about but I have to say this may be my favourite of the bunch so far. Buds are fresh and very greasy and sticky, almost to ...the point of feeling moist. Dense but with some give to them, coloured in various shades of green and a significant dusting of resinous trichomes and matted orange pistils. All followed up by a real close trim.
The nose on this Papa Citrus is very similar to Mimosa and it's absolutely amazing. So loud and pungent with notes of orange/lemon rinds and orange juice with notes of pepper and subtle touch of pine as well. Flavours are identical and mouthwatering, tasting like a sweet, citrusy mimosa with a touch of tropical spice. Honestly reminds me of Trident's Citrus Fruit gum! The burn is impeccable as this stuff is cured to perfection, producing a pure white ash followed by a greasy resin ring. Effortlessly smooth on the lungs.
The high is super heady, feeling an intense cerebral rush hit after the first few minutes into a session. Real upbeat and mood enhancing as well with just enough of a physical high to feel relaxed but not sedated. Certainly fits the criteria for a daytime hybrid that checks all the boxes for me. Wonderful flower and a must try for fans of citrus based strains.
The lineage on this strain seems to be unknown and is also a new one for me. Arriving as one large nug that is a little leafy and on the fluffy side with a crisp, neutral te...xture/moisture. Forest green in colour with shades of purple mixed in, followed by a helping of pale orange hairs and decent amount of trichomes.
A pleasantly interesting nose that becomes stronger upon grinding. Sweet, piney, and earthy with some added notes of berries. Along the lines of a black diamond. Flavours are similar but more on the earthy side with a faint sweetness. The burn is salt and pepper with an average sized resin ringer.
Equipped with a balanced, medium potency high that produces a stoney cerebral buzz as well as a soothing, lightly relaxed body high. Not the longest lasting and without any sedating characteristics, making it a mild mannered daytime smoke.
