Purple Punch - Skookum via Budmail - June 2020

Some of the most aesthetically pleasing buds I've ever laid my eyes on. Deep purple almost blue on the top with a bright, sagey, light green colour on the bottom. It was a little muted and dry when it arrived but is really coming alive after about a week in the jar. Not the loudest stuff ever, definitely more of a refined vibe to it. Layers and layers of aroma. Seems a bit different every time I got back to it. Great mellow indica high. It is notably long lasting, with most bud the high fades after 1.5-2 hours where as with this I can still feel it 3 hours in. Its not a potent face melter type high, more of an incredibly soothing, relaxing, well balance buzz. The only demerit is that the burn was only so-so. Some buds burn better then others. Using a thick paper helps a lot, it slows the burn down and the ash is markedly better in that case. Overall some very very unique cannabis I have never seen before. Apparently this was a very small pack and probably a one time deal so I'm glad I got in on it Value (190/oz after discount) : 9 Quality : 9

Fatso by Skookum, Budmail - Late June, 2020

Last strain of the three I picked up this week. Fatso is an indica dominant strain. A cross of GMO Cookies and Legend OG. Gassy is the first thing that comes to mind when describing this flower. Smell is pretty much all gas and taste is fairly similar to smell. I got a slight nutty flavour as well from the taste. A fairly thick smoke and a nice resin ring on the joint. Burns really clean and white as is the case with basically everything I’ve got from Skookum up to this point. No throat irritation at all. Grinds up really nice, not too sticky but perfect consistency for rolling a joint. The high is fairly strong and more of an evening movie or game session strain. I didn’t find it overwhelming or overpowering though. Just a good strong relaxing stone. The munchies from this are not as bad as other indica’s I’ve smoked which is a bonus. Overall I’m pretty happy with this strain and would buy again. I got two gram jars of it and both weighed in at 1.5 grams respectively. Q: 9 V: 9

Punch Breath by Skookum. Budmail, late June 2020

Up to this point I had only tried the Punch Breath from Kootenay Craft. I ordered some late last year from them and found it to be absolutely stellar. It ended up being my favourite strain of 2019. I ordered another batch semi recently from KC’s April update and wound up being pretty disappointed. It was still a good looking and great smelling strain but the stuff burned fairly black and ended up giving me a bit of a sore throat every time I smoked it. I still got a fair bit of it left due to that. When I saw that Budmail was offering Punch Breath grown by Skookum I had to give it a shot as I’ve been loving their flower lately. This stuff is dynamite. It doesn’t look as nice as the Hidden Pastry (which I reviewed earlier today and was overall disappointed with) but the high, taste and smell are all above and beyond that strain in my opinion. Super clean burn and a taste that I would describe as gas and navel oranges. Buds are a nice mix of purple, green and orange. They are pretty sticky and coated in trichomes. The high comes on relatively strong and after smoking a joint a couple of hours ago I am still feeling some of the effects and haven’t really experienced any burn out which is a major plus. Overall this is what I like to see and have come to expect from Skookum. I know everyone has their individual favourite strains and this one is it for me presently. Q: 10 V: 10

Daydream - Skookum (Budmail) - June

**Daydream 20% THC 0.28% CBN** Very relaxing, and uplifting high. Amazing daytime smoke. Beautifully cured (seriously.. to perfection) with amazing bud structure. Pleasant citrusy, almost fruit like nose. Terps are on point. I would reccomend Budmail to anyone, they have phenomenal service (slow at getting the pack out sometimes, but that's reasonable with the amount of orders they recieve). Hidden Pastry by Skookum - Budmail, Mid June 2020

I’ve purchased a number of tins and a number of the premier line from Skookum through Budmail. At this point I’d guess around 10 or so different strains This stuff is probably my least favourite out of all of them. The description on the web site said it was so sticky it would gum up your grinder and it was a potent strain. Completely untrue. If anything I’d say this is a AAA strain that somehow got bumped up to a quad and got canned. No real taste or smell to speak of. Slight hints of gas when I opened the can and the vanilla cake smell was just barely there. The high is fair to middling at best. It burns super clean, has the fabled ‘resin ring’ and is not irritating on the throat at all but that just doesn’t cut it when you’re paying between 120-150 a half ounce. I took a t break not so long ago and have been finding myself getting stoned off of very little lately - I smoked three large joints of this last night and ended up rolling some other stuff I got in order to actually get stoned. Will be contacting Budmail about it cause this stuff is a big miss in my opinion. Q: 6.5 V: 6.5

It was my first time enjoying a strain i rreally found smelled like chocolate with undertones of grape super nice smell ! The high is also uplifting but more relaxing id say then the sour diesel from the same deal. Great mid day smoke when you dont know if youll need to stick home ! Overall i enjoyed this strain a lot but from the look of the nugs i expected a bit more potent smoke ! Ahah still happy This was arround 130 140$ oz with the discount ! Would recommend :)

Really love the high as a morning smoke good balance between body and cerebral high kind of energizing :) Id give this a 9.5/10 value wise and 8.5/10 quality 10/10 would recommend and will order again :)

Nug shots : http://imgur.com/a/LpgvTX9 Value 7//10 quality 6.5/10 (value based upon the discounted price ofc, and quality from my small experience with quads ) This was a biggg disapointement to say the least First can i opened after the zurple punch i got which was the same price and some of the best bud i ever got, this one was muted on the smell not really that sticky especially considering its 150 165 /14g ! Ofc i didnt pay that with the discount so i wont complain but i expected better. The potency is okay nothing crazy but the taste is just bad it almost taste like hay lol kind of dirty and earthy not super pleasant to smoke at least not what i expect from the tin can ahah :) burns white at least !

Frosty nugs with a nice structure smell was muted at first got a little fruity after 2 months lmao in a jar ! Everything is right look wise but the high i find a little deceiving potency wise definitly a sativa dominant strain ! Value 8.5/10 quality 7.5/10 . I have to say it was the only strain i didnt really enjoy from the 'big deal' nothing wrong but the other strain where better imo ! :)

Great flower ! Decently sticky, a nice gassy smell that transfer to the taste. Good trim and nice bud structure. For an112$ oz dscounted at ~80$ this is right on ! Great deal for tuna :) Would recommand and buy again Value 9/10 quality 8/10
