Birthday Cake #4 Smalls / Budmail / End Dec

Nose is super gassy, with vanilla undertones and a lemon finish. Got this beauty in from Budmail yesterday, ordered on saturday the 21st of Dec - meaning two business day turnaround to Ontario. Absolutely fantastic in cure, smell, looks, and potency. Portioning out 3.5's at a time to let the rest cure a bit more, but when I open my little 125ml mason jar it stinks up my whole house for hours. I have noticed however that the trich heads on the outside of the bud have been rubbed off a little more than I would like, but the buds rub each other in the bag and being smalls it is to be expected. This was a 'smalls' ounce, but is more close to a regular ounce with buds ranging from (mostly) thumb sized to about 1.5-2.5 gram buds. Taste absolutely coats your mouth with the same exact flavours present in the smell and is clean until the very end. Vaped at 205c provides expansive vapour that keeps coming and coming and coming and coming. Such a flawless representation of the strain. The high is fantastic, takes about 5 mins to kick in with a nice mind altering high but surprisingly clear at the same time, my body was also feeling tingly and nice similar to what i feel when i ingest edibles - FANTASTIC. Very terpy, smooth, frosted buds. This, Cherry glue (also from budmail) and the white shark from color on the legal side have been my favourite smokes of the year

Mint Chocolate Chip by Skookum - Budmail - December 2019

Probably the biggest nug I ever received from a MOM, just in front of the MAC #2 by CE. Packaging was once again on point and one of the best I ever had (1st is still cannasseurnorth). Smells amazing. Will try it out tonight... but 1st the Gelato #33 I just received as well. Can't wait to try this out tho, looks deadly.

Highschool Sweetheart - Budmail - Mid December

Budmail's Tin series grown by Skookum Cannabis. Opening the tin you are hit with the smell, sweet ripe cherry, chocolate, kerosene, with a sweet earthyness and mild spicy tint to the smell. The nose carries through to the flavour nicely. Burns a touch salt and pepper but with a very fine consistency to the ash, burns almost like hash which is interesting. Super slow burning, smooth on the inhale but a touch heavy on the exhale. The potency starts showing itself pretty quickly with a chatty stone that gives mild pressure the eyes. The stone continues to build and you are hit with a blast of euphoria and a relaxing, lazy body high. After about 20 min, I was just nuked wondering how I got so stoned. It's not as potent as the previous batch from last October/November but still very enjoyable and the potency mauls you like a grizzly bear. I had a few minor hiccups with this order and BM's customer service went well above and beyond. Solid 9.5/10

Mint Chocolate Chip - Budmail- Mid December

I may have to post a better picture. I don't like the way this light makes things look. This was Budmail's 'premier' line that comes in an amber glass jar, the strain was grown by Skookum Cannabis, formerly Golden Spruce I haven't smoked alot of this yet but the smell is a sweet herbal gas with a touch of spice. The flavour has a Tangie like funk to it, that everyone might not enjoy. On top of the funk there was a bit of pepper, herb and maybe a somewhat citrusy gas note to it. It burns evenly and slow to a clean white ash, and is smooth in both the inhale and exhale. The Terps on this are really interesting and are well preserved. I didn't smoke enough to really comment on the effects but the couple tokes I had are making me feel very relaxed and peaceful, my head feels like it's a helium balloon and a euphoric but cloudy/spacy state of mind.

Birthday Cake, Grease Monkey by Skookum / Mendo Breath sample - Budmail - Early December 2019

So yeah I couldn't resist the insane 30% off for black friday, and after the canada post madness, 1 week late (not the Mom's fault) it's finally my 1st time trying Budmail and so far, from the look of it, looks pretty great. Only grabbed 7G of both cans, and 1g to try out their mendo Breath, which I am a big fan of. Both pics shows the whole 7G of each. Needs a bit of time in a jar with Boveda (Which were included in each can). Will try the Mendo 1st right now, then the Bday, then the grease. Will repost back once I try them all. Packaging was on point. Customer service was awesome. if skookum lives to their expectation after all the fuzz here recently, I might oder more often as they seems to have some lovely strains. Debating about grabbing that mint chocolate chip. and or the animal face...

High School Sweetheart - Budmail - Skookum - Dec '19

Gat damn. This was probably the most difficult of the strains i got to retrieve from the tins. I was getting frustrated at one point and started asking myself if there is some sort of Caramilk type mystery to this shit, i’m pretty good at tetris’ing my buds tightly into jars when it’s needed, because in the end I don’t know how they managed to cram the fat buds in the way they did, good lord. Large buds having varied formations, with such beautiful rainbow coloration and it looks like extra care went into this grow. Good n sticky n resinous, absolutely caked from inside out with a great resinous touch to match. Wish i knew how to take pictures like some of you guys, mine do these flowers no justice, they's purty, and surprisingly varied in appearance. Smells deeply of an almost vanilla like sweetness but with musty-meaty-floral notes in good measure, with a sweet/floral and seemingly fruity kind of gas that strongly emanates when preparing the buds. Myriad of flavors in the vape in confusing array still, mostly creamy smooth with spicy kushiness to it. Really, really medicating, found it quite stony and provided great physical relief but still enough of a pep that you want to engage your surroundings. Brutish in strength. Will be savoring this one slowwwy, really regretting only getting one tin.

Royal Apple - Budmail - Skookum - Dec '19

Would like to know the genetics here. Really resinous buds, one of the greasier of the tins I got with a fruity skunky stick that is hard to get off the fingers. Amazing final product and cure, grown with obvious affection for the plant the buds come from. Maybe more of a black coloration than purple, it is deep and dark throughout. An overt gassy smell is very present, but it is the major grapey-berryness that dominates and is so so inviting. Looks like some weird martian type weed in person, vapes like it too. Listed as indica but more hybrid in effect to me, and has a lot of oomph and staying power in terms of it’s upbeat and spaced out feeling, potent and pleasant. Glad to have grabbed extra of this to add to some cannagifts to share this year for the holidays. Exemplary exotic cannabis and will be savoring this special treat.

Used to exclusively like wheelchair weed alone, but as time passed think I like something akin to where’d-I-put-my-fuckin-keys/phone-weed even better, and this is a great example. Nostril flaring upon cracking a jar, dominant blasts of fuel and citrus and what might be a strong red wine aroma are piercing from the buds. Everything coming together it kind of smells like a pop/beer recycling place, weird enough that it would be offensive if it wasn’t so outright funky. Buds are big and beautiful, saturated in so much resin they just glisten. Fingers reek of petrol after handling the buds even after washing and washing, that should be a new metric for cannabis. Gas absolutely ignites from the buds upon breaking them, super duper oily and greasy; I see that ‘oil tanker spill’ selling tag used pretty liberally lately, this stuff is pure petrol however. Feels almost criminal breaking apart the buds, but is a real sight under a loupe. Huge vapor production, and extra bags with the volcano. Effects are sublime, can’t necessarily do much, yet want to do everything anyway. Some similar mind-microwaving feeling to the Animal Face, but more lethargic overall, and remains incredibly euphoric in nature. Hit a lot of the right notes and checked off all the boxes for me, one of the better buds i’ve enjoyed and my favorite of the Skookum strains i’ve tried so far (out of 6). Very grateful for the killer Black Friday sale, and glad to have stocked up on this one as I plan to make up enough arbitrary snowflake-inspired holidays of my own since everything is apparently worth celebrating (or fighting over..) these days, and enjoy me some cake more often.
