A very smooth Indica from the smoke all the way to the effects.. a bit of a creeper, started out with a mellow euphoric high, and then the big couchlock hit.. couldn't keep my eyes open. Super relaxing and definite goto end of the day bud.

God Kush - Emerald Castle Med - August 2019

Apparently this is a mixture of God bud, Hawaiian and Purple Skunk which is quite a party. It's a very typical skunk/gassy combo smell right out of the bag, and busting it up releases some herbal spiciness, along with more skunky sweet notes. The buds are on the drier side, but not crumbly or brittle, and very dense, tight and sticky. They're weird shaped buds with a great trim, very caked and have light purple hues here and there. Through a bong its very smooth but heavy smoke with a range of flavour. It's almost hard to nail down one flavour, they all combine into a weird musky, candy sweet and skunky hit and leaves little to no lingering flavour or aftertaste. Burns a lighter grey-salt and pepper ash. This stuff excels through the vape, with monstrously big hits, not harsh but a bit overwhelming at times, with a very gassy, sweet and skunky flavour and even the effects felt stronger. The high sets in slowly but surely, starting behind the eyes and moving into a body buzz with a cloudy laidback high. Its an indica high for sure, but doesn't make me sleepy or couchlocked, just really relaxed and stoned with a smile stuck on my face. It wiped away depression and anxiety and any distracting thoughts, and just left me stoned and chilled out. I'd smoke this during the day because it doesn't put me to sleep, or make me sluggish at all, but not if if I had anything really important to do, since it left me a blank slate aside from the dopey grin. 7.5 for potency, very mind numbing. Overall, its a very nice bud all around with a relaxing and mind numbing indica high that doesn't make me sleepy, and does wonderfully through a dry herb vape. -->extra images: https://imgur.com/a/Dm3Zch9

Ayahuasca Purple - Emerald Castle Med - August 2019

I had no idea what Ayahuasca was before I first started seeing this strain pop up, and now I know, but the reason for naming this strain after it still evades me. The purple part I get, the deep shades of purple dashed through buds is striking and ominous, and combined with the other unique shades of green and light orange hairs makes for one pretty, yet spooky looking bud. It's absolutely frosted, and the buds are sticky and not dry, very squishable and slightly fluffy with a decent trim. The smell out of the bag is very pine and musky, with sweet nutty notes, and busted up it becomes a much more earthy and pine aroma. The smoke through a bong hits right away with a throat grabbing harshness that was unexpected but tolerable. The flavour is very earthy and musky with sweet and pine undertones. Burns a light grey to white ash. Through the vape the flavour was nothing special, mostly earthy, along with a smooth but heavy hit and produced big clouds. The buzz is a bit of a creeper, taking a few minutes to start feeling the effects which come in waves. At first it starts off behind the eyes making them droopy, and with a relaxing slumpy body buzz. The next wave is an even heavier cerebral hit of dreamy, cloudy and giggly while the body buzz continues to melt you into your seat with a warming relaxation. Finally, the body buzz becomes very relaxing and loosened my muscles up like jello, along with a sedating, dreamy and relaxing stone, perfect for later in the evening. 7 - 7.5 for potency, very relaxing. Overall, this is a new strain to me with strangely pleasant looks, smell and flavour and a strongly relaxing high, I'd recommend if you're looking for a muscle relaxant, sleep aid or to melt away into the couch. --->more images: https://imgur.com/a/TempPiU

Romulan - Emerald Castle Med - August 2019

Okay Romulan, 'The nickname ‘Romulan‘ is actually a Star Trek reference, jokingly stating the bud is so strong it will rearrange your head with Romulan-like facial features.' I don't know much about star trek,but with a picture of the romulans next to that description, I totally agree with the namesake. Right out of the bag it's a burst of fruity sweetness, like starburst or skittles, I can't pick just one fruit smell, and busting it up just leads to even more citrusy, sour and sweet notes, with hints of fresh pine. The nugs are big and dense, not beautiful, but classically good looking. Its on the drier side, but not too a ruinous degree, a few hours with a boveda perked them right up. Through a bong the smoke was not harsh but not smooth either leading up to a very clean, but lung grabbing hit. The flavour is awesome, a bit sour, a bit sweet, and surprisingly diesely with a pine aftertaste. Burns a white ash. Through the vape it produced a delicious grapefruit flavour with heavy pine notes, along with big heavy hits' The high takes a couple minutes to really hit you, but still starts off with a bang. After 5-10 minutes it ramps up into a heavy cerebral high and full body buzz, while still leaving me feeling sociable and active, with little to no couch lock or cloudiness. Its a very relaxed and stoney high, and to me its a perfect buzz for any time of day, as long as you dont have too much to do, although its still quite functional. Great for a saturday morning wake and bake, or one of those lazy rainy day smoke all day strains, and even works for bedtime. 7.5 for potency, and has greater potential with higher doses. Overall its a fantastic Romulan with a delicious taste and smell and a stellar buzz, if you're a fan of this strain or just looking for a classic high, look no further. --> extra pics: https://imgur.com/a/gHyBJ1Z

Emerald Castle Med by Oaf / Girl Scout Cookies, Tahoe OG, Ayahuasca Purple

First order with Emerald Castle Meds. Jumped when I saw free shipping on all orders and 8ths of some tempting strains at 40% off. Ordered Saturday morning, packaged shipped Monday and got to east coast on Friday. Not the fastest delivery, but free shipping on the small order is much appreciated. Flat rate shipping is usually $15 or free after $200, I think. The bag appeal is on par with the $99oz 'very small buds' Mint Cookies I got from JJMeds recently. ECM cleared this strain out for $135, which I would still consider a competitive price. I'll keep my eye on the ECM deals thread, and would happily order again next time I see a good sale. The impression I get from this order is that they only stock from quality growers. A downside is that I've watched the prices float around quite a bit. Thanks ECM :)

Crystal Coma - Emerald Castle Med - Aug '19

A bit of a surprise bud.. got mostly smaller buds (this one was the biggest) but all fairly caked.. more of a cheese / pine tree small to it. Wasn't expecting much but quality is there for sure.. a stronger Sativa that hit fairly quick.. one of those giggly kind of highs that is somewhat hyperactive. My only complaint was with the smaller buds but I snagged it at a 40% off sale with free shipping over the weekend so I let it slide haha. Potency was there regardless of the bud size and looking forward to trying this strain again somewhere else as it's now on my watch list.

Never had this strain before but I’m a fan of this indica. Fruity pungent smell and taste. Potency is great. I had there black gold as well very potent.
