Red Congo / Highgradeaid / May 2020

Been wanting to try hga's red congo for a while now and noticed it went on sale. Ordered wednesday and arrived this morning. Nugs were quite sticky, it was basically a brick coming out the mylar. It smells very earthy and slightly citrusy, as for the taste it's earthy/piney and a bit sweet. The high lived up to all expectations, a nice heavy head buzz with clear headed focus. The smoke I found very light leading to very smooth bowls that were a white ash.

Quite a few people have posed about this strain, so thought I’d take a more in depth image. Great bag appeal as you can see, a nice smell to it but not an overly strong nose. Clean white ash and very smooth smoke. Clean euphoric type of high that I personally did not find too “couch lock”. This was my first order through HGA and I have to admit, I’m impressed.

**MOM: High Grade Aid** **Communication:** Due to COVID, my package was delayed a little bit. I was worried it may have gotten lost, so I contacted customer service using the chat button. I was seen in less than 2 minutes, and the guy who helped me was brief and helpful. In the end I got my goods safe and sound! **(5/5)** **Shipping/Packaging:** Can’t really fault them for the package’s lateness. And honestly, it wasn’t even late. I’ve just gotten so used to lightning fast delivery from them, it seemed like it took an eternity. As usual, it was packaged discreetly and safely. Normally their shipping is stellar (1-2 business days), this time it took about 10 days. So, the virus knocks the convenience factor down a peg. **2.5/5** **THE SHIT I BOUGHT** [**14g Yuck Mouth (AAA+) - $91**](https://imgur.com/a/YlqTBm8) I haven’t smoked a ton of this strain yet, but I’m overall pretty happy with it. It doesn’t quite match up to the Pink MKU AAAA I got last time, but it certainly gets the job done. The high is comparable to House of Glass’ other concentrates, but this one tastes AWESOME. It’s almost like cotton candy. I sometimes accidentally get way more baked than intended because I mistake my wax pen for a regular nicotine vape. It was also discounted at 35% off, but I would definitely buy it again at full price. Would recommend. **8.5/10** [**2x Ganja Leafs - 1250mg /ch- $70**](https://imgur.com/a/lN07cCh) Talk about bang for your fucking buck. I managed to snatch two of these things (2500mg total) for only 70 bucks. I imagine these are what Joey Diaz’ “Stars of Death” are like. I have a very high tolerance, and I’m lazy, so I love these high dose, single-serve edibles as an alternative to baking a whole batch myself. I took half, and waited about 2 hours. I had a little bit of a head high, but I was otherwise basically sober. So, thinking I had waited long enough, I took the other half. I was passed out about an hour later. In a good way, though. Anyway, I have the other one to eat tonight. I’ll tone down the dose. If you’ve got a crazy high tolerance, I’d definitely recommend these. Unfortunately, they (and their low price) have been taken off of HGA at this point. They’re available on other MOMs, but at a much higher price point. For the price of $35 each, though, they’re tasty, mean motherfuckers. **8/10** **Incentive: Free Shipping :)** **OVERALL SCORE: 31/40** HGA is a great MOM. They’ve got a huge selection, and their sales are always pretty good! But a big part of what makes them so great is the convenience. My first few orders were placed and delivered within 2 days. Unfortunately that’s just not possible nowadays. Again, it’s no fault of HGA’s. But, it has definitely been quicker and easier to buy from the plug than from an MOM (at least this one). Anyway, if you’ve got time and cash to burn, HGA is a great way to go. Value hunting, mixing and matching all make it a super fun experience. But if you need your weed in a rush, you may want to look elsewhere. At least for now. Normally, it would easily be a 9 or 10/10. The products and service are just that good. Unfortunately, it’s out of their hands and in Canada Post’s.

This is definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made this year, I’ve already bought 3 Oz of this. It is pungent to the point where my kitchen downstairs stank an hour after opening up the bag in my room upstairs. This is absolutely caked in THC, powerful punch and smooth smoke. All 3 Oz I received did not have any large nugs in them, mostly comprising of meds/smalls. They state this in the description & all the nugs are still beautiful. Bag Appeal: 9.5/10 Potency: 9/10 Smoke: 9/10 Quality: 9.5/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Thanks again HGA.

PROS: Payment/order was accepted yesterday, may 19th. Package was sent out a few hours later and the package arrived from BC to ONT today at 11am. Purolator was extremely fast with the delivery and I really like the fact HGA offers Purolator. Since I know lots of people are having issues with CP ATM. Customer service was also top notch, ask for Mike. He's great to deal with and answered all my questions in terms of what I wanted to smoke for flower. Lots our coupons available and sales aswell. I got the QP and distillate and edibles all on sale. Order consisted of: Lemon OG, Dosidos, island death, chocolate mint cookies, and garlic breath. House of glass distillate, Mary's edibles and BC cartridges. Free sample kloud9 distillate was included aswell. CONS: Other than QP deal of 840$ for the quads, theres no options for HPs and Ps. I don't think HGA is structured for bulk so I understand, I'm just letting everyone know! I'll review the flower as I smoke them Edit: A nice lad messaged me in PM and told me he believes HGA does offer HP and Ps you just need to email them and ask for it specifically. I didn't ask for it and just made my order based off the website. If anyone can chime in, thanks!

Quality 9/10 Value 10/10 I placed my order on a Tuesday and received the package the following morning in rural ontario. Fastest shipping from a MoM I’ve ever received. Service was outstanding , any questions I had about my choices were answered in a timely and professional manner. The CS team at HGA are polite and courteous, much more welcoming and understandable than an automated email letting me know my question will be responded to within 48 hours. Package was In a mailer with just a simple slim cardboard box containing a double vacuum seal inside. After I opened the first bag I could already smell the aroma from the DMC coming from the still sealed bag it came in. This stuff has a serious pungent yet subtle smell that definitely has hints of doughy cookie with a nice topper of gassy / spicy notes no doubt coming from the Death Star side of the parents. The taste was clean and reminiscent of some really great GSC cuts I’ve had before. Thick white smoke followed by a homogeneous white ash and beautiful resin ring from start to finish. This is the sort of stuff you smoke to the filter because it tastes so good even until the last puffs. Nice sedative effects coming from this strain. Made me feel calm and relaxed , I even managed to sit down and watch an entire movie without having to stretch or walk around from being so stiff and sore ( motorcycle accident last year ). Most of the time couldn’t finish a joint first try when I smoked it to myself. I guess I shouldn’t say I couldn’t , it’s that I didn’t NEED to smoke the rest. That’s a huge part of a true quad for me.... feeling satisfied after I smoke. This stuff definitely checks that box. I find sometimes I’m chasing a high that can never be found, until I came across this treat. At $135 an oz it was an absolute steal of a deal. (. $160 sale price + $25 first time referral code). At $280 regular price I would still buy it as a treat however I’d really need to have some expendable money kicking around to feel like it was worth the price on a regular basis. More so of a budget thing than a quality issue.
