[Hillside Pharms] Citrus Slurricane Archive Seeds Hybrid Indica Review

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aybphBt_im8 Citrus Slurricane Archive Seeds Hybrid Indica Review | 4/5 Another delicious sounding strain from a craft grower I'm usually pretty excited to try. Being fortunate enough to get larger nugs it should provide a better examination of the strain. Grown by Archive Seeds it's labeled a Hybrid Indica which is one of my favorite types. Out of the jar we get some of the sweetest, citrus-y, lemon-y, delicious / candy smell we've experienced in a long time. Smells delicious and very unique which probably also has to do with the freshness. The buds are quite hairy, quite frosty, having the crystals transforming the dark bits to a lighter tint. I'd say about 50/50 red hairs which also were quite covered by crystals. Breaking it open yields a much lighter color (light green to white) but also significantly less crystals. Perhaps due to the density of the bud it didn't allow a uniform covering of crystals to the core. Not a very hollow center (so quite dense throughout). The bud is extremely sticky maintain the shape when squeezed or handled (and leaving hands sticky). We also get a new smell, still citrusy, but much more DIESEL/GASSY than how it was out of the jar. The buds we examined weighed about 4-5grams each demonstrating just how dense the bud was. Hopefully these tastes are maintained when vaped. Once grinding it up the bud turns and even LIGHTER color green, a mixture of the center-whitish color and the crystals on the outside. Still quite a few visible red hair that are quite contrast to the light green, white colors of the bud. Once again quite a very sticky bud (sticking to hands, sticking to itself, almost as playdough) leaving quite a few crystals between the fingers as well. The smell turned into a much more acidic, sour smell slowly being overpowered by a gassy, diesely smell. Not quite as sweet as we were expecting it straight out the jar. Still candy-like sour hints but slowly being overtaken by the darker gassy smells. In the vape the best way to describe the experience was above average. Lower temps (185) yielded gassy, diesely, bitter, darker flavor, but not SUPER strong, a much milder flavor. Shortly after was the sweet, baked goods taste but once again not super flavorful, but there. At 195 we still got diesel, bitter and still a bit mild. Only at the very end did we get a sweet, citrusy flavor like we wanted to from the get-go. Would have been nice if that sweet citrus flavor was there from start to finish (hence the name of the strain) but if you're into the gassy flavors it might be your thing. Personally I was expecting a taste closer to the original smell and name which made me feel a tad disappointed. Having smoked it from the pipe we're left with a light grey/dark grey ash. The experience itself was a bit harsh, not AS smooth as I wanted it to be. It was def. fresh so we did get a bit flavor while burning which is usually not a common occurrence. THe best thing about blazing it was that it was quite a STRONG feeling. A very indica effect: couch lock, relaxed, laid back, not really socialize, something you would want to do at home and not necessarily go out and party... even chores may be a bit difficult. So to summarize we had a GREAT smelling / looking bud that was quite dense, fresh yet crystals diminished toward the center. It vaped unexpectedly very diesel-y/gassy, more than sweet/sour as the original name and smell was concerned. Finally it burned a bit harsh but had a great strong indica buzz. A bit of room for improvement but at the same time could be a smell/taste/experience that some may crave.

STAR SAPPHIRE - HILLSIDE PHARMS HSP - APR '19

Faint cheese but nothing strong like most cheese strains. It's pungent and reminded me of the grassy taste from Nuken.

this is some smelly potent popcorn. I never knew I was getting popcorn, but it was only 110 an ounce and its potent so I am pretty happy with it.

Smooth white ash no coughing at all. Good indica but doesn't lay you out completely can move around still

LA Cheese - Hillside Pharms / TheNewHSP - Apr '19

/u/bburrr

This flower has a big nose of kush and light savory notes. A sticky bud profile makes up for the odd structure. The flavor is deep and matches the smell quite well. I found the effects of this one heavy and potent. Very great for gaming as I found a deeper focus with this than most of my other current indicas. First time ordering from HSP and I'm really happy thus far. *8.5/10*, AAA

Grape God - Hillside Pharms - April

/u/Ragnarokiee

Apologies! I save those for the Cmom forum usually BUT, awesome spell of white grapes, pine, and a touch of citrus. Mostly great trim, good cure. Only put it in a joint so far but it smokes great, white ash. It's a real nice hybrid, initial cerebral effects mellow out into a nice lengthy body buzz. I like!

Had to use a banana for scale as those are probably the biggest nugs I've ever seen

Strawberry Jerry - HillsidePharms - April 2019

/u/punctualjohn

Nice frosty medium-sized with 2-3 popcorn nugs here and there, very sexy looking. It came with nice humidity, not too wet but not dry either, feels nice and fresh when handling it. The smell is unmistakably strawberries, or some other kind similar berry. There is both a sweetness and a gentle sourness that doesn't hit the nose too hard. The sourness adds a distinctive exotic feel to the initial berry aroma. The Overall a very smooth smell which doesn't tear your olfactory nerves apart, the nose feel is very gentle and caressing when taking a whiff. I was hoping the strawberry would come out well in my vape, but sadly it's the opposite. It's kind of there, but the sourness takes a lot of room. Still tastes great, but not what you'd expect from the smell. I haven't smoked it so I can't tell, but will probably burn well and I'm pretty sure will produce a very tasty smoke as well. From my experience, aromas like sourness and berry tend to produce the best tasting smokes.

for me hillside is my favorite of these brands, what shatter is your favourite

/u/crankystoner

I like the hillside better, I find it more stable, it seems to melt better.
