Hillside Pharms: Dutch Dragon and PSC Review

MOM Name Hillside Pharms Overall rating out of 10: 8.5/10 Sign up: Straight forward sign-up, have to provide email and photo ID. Ordering & Pricing: Really straight forward as well. Took advantage of a 30% off coupon to try out their premium buds. Regular pricing is on the expensive side but is still reasonable for the quality of product. Hillside also always has some kind of promotion running to cut those prices down a little bit. Communication: Their website was very clear and I knew what I wanted so I had minimal communication with them. I ordered on the final evening of the 30% promo and emailed to ask if they could verify me quickly so that I wouldn’t miss out. While I didn’t actually get a personal response, my account was verified within an hour of creating the account. Packaging: Bud came in silver ziplock baggies with branded labels. The downside of the soft bag is that it’s quite easy for some of the buds to get flattened along the way. They were sealed in an air-tight bag for mailing. Products/Photos: My order was for a Q each of Dutch Dragon and Purple Space Cookies, along with their 5g sampler pack of shatter. With discount code and free shipping, the order came out to $216. For a half-o of top flower and 5g of shatter, I think it's pretty good value for money Dutch Dragon AAAA: https://i.imgur.com/w6dyrFg.jpg Very fragrant scent of citrus rind with a sweet, candy-like undertone and a herbal almost minty punch that pushes through. The nugs are really pretty and frosted. Tight, dense, with beautiful dark green hues and streaked with brown hairs. The bag appeal was really top quality and made me instantly excited to smoke it. It’s not overly flavourful, but a really pleasant vape. The zesty freshness comes through on the initial draw and then settles into a mild, sweet earthy taste. Effects are what you’d expect from a sativa with a real potent head rush initially that settled into a clear-headed, focused high. Would also say that it's a potentially good social strain as it made me talkative and had an uplifting effect on my mood. Very good potency and is well worth the price imo. 8.5/10 Purple Space Cookies AAAA: https://i.imgur.com/JrW75rc.jpg Scent is overall earthy with sweet floral notes. Trim could be a little bit better but these nugs are super caked and boast beautiful dark purple nugs with strong green hues that show a beautiful colour contrast when broken up in a grinder. Those floral notes come through on the flavour, but quickly settle into earthy profiles. Very potent and a nice initial cerebral high that is settles into its indica roots and this dominates the overall high for sure. Overall this bud was an enjoyable smoke, the potency is up there for sure but is a little underwhelming in flavour. I'm going to throw it into a mason jar with a boveda for a bit and see if that brings out the scent a little more. 8/10 Incentive for Customers: Always have some kind of promotion running. It's pretty nice. Potency is definitely there, but its a little lacking in smell and flavour. Subtle earthy vapour but the high itself is v pleasant. Probs a AAA+ pushing into quad territory
