Green Hornet Buds Review - February 2020

Packaged in a small box with the strains inside vacuum sealed and placed in mylars. Strains : Purple Haze https://i.imgur.com/0lhU9n5.jpg It's been a while since I last had some Purple Haze and it's not a strain I see around too often. This one from Green Hornet was a great smoke in every category. Beautiful bag appeal first and foremost, with light purples that blend into forest greens. A thick layer of trichomes cover the entirety of the buds. Sticky and dense, with a perfect trim. Very sweet aroma upon opening the bag, with notes of grape/berry and musky earth. Almost reminded me of a black diamond or purple god due to that very distinguishable muskiness. It was a bit more on the berry side though especially when smoked with an added touch of spice/herbs. Smooth and gentle on the lungs, burning with a light coloured ash. Instant heady effects that kick in literally after the first exhale. I was surprised that I was feeling pretty high off one average sized bong hit so it seems to be a rather potent sativa. Very social and uplifted effects but definitely may be overpowering to those not used to an intense sativa. Great wake and bake strain. Platinum Bubba https://i.imgur.com/y9cKj0e.jpg A powerful cross of Platinum OG Kush and Bubba Kush. Beautiful looking buds with sharp green colours and features. Covered in trichomes all over, with prickly orange hairs emerging through them. Sticky to the touch when broken apart, with a dense texture. Very pungent aromas emitting from this platinum bubba that will stink up any area with little effort. A blend of earth and gas that translated to the taste as well when smoked. Has that throat sting and chest punch effect that I always get from platinums, and the smoke is thick and heavy. Burned with a light grey ash. Strong head and body effects that had me completely zoned out into my ps4 and melted into my chair. Very relaxing. I chose to smoke it first thing in the morning and it was a great choice as there was very little burnout afterwards. Afghan Kush https://i.imgur.com/QMnPviR.jpg These light green buds of Afghan Kush had a very pine cone shape to them and were complimented by bright, yellow-orange hairs. Great trichome coverage and decently trimmed as well with a sticky texture and semi dense feel to them. The profile is exactly what I've come to expect from this classic strain. Earthy and sweet with fresh, herbal-like kush notes. The smoke is also earthy and sweet and very smooth on the exhale. Slow burning, producing a light salt and pepper ash. Huge fan of the relaxing body effects afghan possesses, and this one produces exactly that. Heavily relaxing and super calming, all while being peacefully glued to the couch. Progresses into a real lazy and zoned out high that can quickly result in sedation. Incentive These samples were provided for honest and unbiased reviews.

Platinum Bubba/GreenHornet/Feb2020

Platinum Bubba-  This strain stung the nose when i opened the bag with the classic bubba stink.  This was a nice occurrence as the last few bubba i have gotten lacked this in your face smell.  The dank smell caused even my wife to send me outside to finish this review.  The buds were pretty dense with beautiful bright greens and sporadic orange hairs peeking out from under an ample layer of trichomes that encompassed the entire bud.  Upon breaking up with bud the bubba smell was intoxicating and made you crinkle you nose a bit it was so strong.  The smoke revealed white ash and a profile of kush, bubba, earth and gas that mixed together to create a super tasty white smoke.  There was little harshness on exhale but the kush notes were much more prominent on the tongue.  The high from this was felt right behind the eyes immediately and just spread slowly from there until it was a full body buzz.  What i was surprised about was that this high did not put me to sleep like many bubbas, it made me extremely hungry and wanting to watch tv. Quality 8.5 Value:8.5

Afghani Kush/GreenHornet/Feb2020

Afghani Kush-  This strain roused the nose with a gentle earthy kush when the bag was opened.  The buds inside had a nice fluffy conical structure with a heavy frosting of trichomes from stem to apex.  Under this healthy coating there were multiple shades of green present that were accented by numerous orange hairs sprouting hap-hazardly from the bud.  Upon busing up this but the kush smell intensified with the addition of a spiciness that wasn't present in bud form.  This flower smoked smoothly with very little harshness on the throat.  The ash left behind was a healthy helping of salt with a shake of pepper. On exhale the plume of white smoke was very relaxing and tasted of pepper and kush.  The high from this bud was a mild lifted feeling in my chest that continued to creep on me turning me into a couch creature within 30 minutes. Quality: 7.5 Value: 8

Second batch of this strain I've had and I like it just as much as the first time. Good bag appeal with unique, almost pink hairs and very light green, sticky, and dense buds. The smell is amazing and is a very strong sweet citrus lemon-lime that's just a bit sour. Smooth smoke in a joint with white ash, the lemon-lime really making it an enjoyable flavor. Although it's smooth I find joints of this get harder on the lungs than normal at the end and a bit hard to finish without coughing a lot. Effects are very heady, euphoric, and energetic, this is definitely a strain that can cause anxiety if smoked in higher amounts. Little to no crash for me after, very enjoyable effects make it a great daytime strain. Quality 9/10 Value 9/10
