Ice Cream Sandwiches - Kootenay Botanicals - June 2021

/u/thechronickid_00

Full album : https://imgur.com/a/N6Boylk Genetics : Ice Cream Cake #3 x Fleetwood MAC #100 Sourced by : @kootenaybotanicals Bred by : @litfarms Always exciting to try a strain that's completely new to me and one quick glance at this Ice Cream Sandwiches' lineage told me more than I needed to know. A match made in heaven to say the least, combining Ice Cream Cake #3 and Fleetwood MAC #100. I think I've found my new love as everyone knows I'm an ICC and MAC fanatic; not to mention she's a looker too with her beautiful arrangement of soft pastel colours and impressive trichome population. These perfectly manicured buds are extremely dense and sticky to the touch with an exquisite cure to match, arriving with a 62% rH Integra boost humidity pack as did the other strains I'll be reviewing. (Cherry Sherbert and Forbidden Fruit - Skookum Craft Series) A nose that is 100% fully deserving of it's name as it smells good enough to eat. Creamy and doughy with a touch of MAC's fruity funky goodness. All wrapped up in a minty coolness that becomes noticeable on the tail end of a sniff. Translates flawlessly to taste with a creamy but dank smoke as it produces those same funky fruity MAC flavours found in the smell, accompanied by a cool mint exhale. The aromas it produces when combusted are all MAC and it's simply amazing how it effortlessly fills up my entire house. Super smooth and greasy burning from start to finish with a thick oil ring and light salt and pepper ash. A real potent clash of spacey and uplifting effects met with an effective burst of euphoria, leaving you feeling completely elated and zen like. The MAC seems to really play a role and influence the effects as it leaves you contently stoned yet still engaged enough to be creative and somewhat functional. There is however a bit of a slow building body buzz that seems to creep in towards the end of the high and can leave you slightly tired and lazy. Not heavily debilitating more so than it is relaxing and carefree, making It an enjoyable and versatile hybrid. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Island pink bubble hash Kootenay Botanicals end of May

/u/joshbucky420

Sourced by Kootenay Botanicals (1) Looks : This came exactly as it looks . It is nice brown soft and also crumbly . This hash is not puddy more of a brownie consistency. (2) Smell : Very smelly for hash sweet piney alcoholy and kushy ontop of the classic coffee hash smells im use to very pleasant. (3) Taste : This is a nice non melting bubble hash. Sweet and a little tangy mixed with a hashy coffee kind of taste with a little bit more spicey flavor on the exhail one of the most tastey bubble hashes ive had . (4) Buzz : strong indica buzz after three bongs rips each all pains went away. Very strong body buzz but also very sleepy hash. I could close my eyes and dose off as I'm write this if you want something to unwind after work this is what you want but maybe don't dose as heavy as I did . 8 / 10 not one of those plain jain hashes

Crunch Berries - Kootenay Botanicals - Mar 2021 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Arriving as resinous small-to-medium nugs with a bright, sweetly-pungent aroma of woody, musky pine and sweet grains, these Crunch Berries (DJ Short's Blueberry x male Triple OG) aren't very impressive visually despite being of good humidity.. I think the cultivar's lack of luster and slight yellow-ness is from its organic grow approach, but I'm not certain - apologies to the source that I've not really taken any studio images I'm happy with of this cultivar so far The experience starts as a bright, chemmy, woody sweetness that is quite distinctive to these genetics before settling into an earthy, woody, cereal-like profile with hints of sweet gas, and finally concluding as a grainy, peppery finish with a splash of fruit. There's a touch of onset harshness that sometimes makes me cough, but the back half of this experience is very smooth and flavourful, with Crunch Berries being a tasty, familiar strain that I think most would enjoy. Likely 9 or possible 9.5 Enjoyment score It hits a little harder than I would typically expect of this strain and I'd describe its effects as being a satisfying euphoric stone with a bit of energy, definite improved appetite, and only slight burnout if over-consumed. Good all-around indica-dominant or indica-leaning hybrid to be enjoyed at all hours of the day without too much sedation, but also suitable as a relaxing night-cap before bed Expected 416 Database Score: 89-92 AAAA- Full Disclosure: This is a donated product that will result in 7g of flower being gifted by 416 Strains towards our Cannabis for Good initiative. Do-Si Pie - Kootenay Botanicals - Apr 2021 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Arriving as a large (unfortunately broken) cola and smaller nugs to complete the weight, this Do-Si Pie (Do-Si-Dos x Velvet Pie) has a nutty, woody, gassy sweetness in the jar, which matches some of my favourite prior experiences with Do-Si-Dos The experience begins the same way, as an earthy, gassy sweetness with a kushy, woody pungency, then as it continues, I get a gas-dominant, kushy/Cake-like sweetness with peppery/spicy undertones. The spicyness or pepperiness definitely kicks in with a vengeance, while the gassy, doughy/grainy sweetness is maintained. Overall quite smooth and flavourful, def enjoyable and familiar As always, potency is the last characteristic I usually feel comfortable gauging, but I have this at about 8.25 Potency in our scale as an effective indica-dominant hybrid that offers plenty of euphoria, a bit of a heady buzz, some body effects and an overall sense of relaxation. I prob like its effects more than the experience Expected 416 Database Score: 89-92 AAAA ________________ Full Disclosure: This is a donated product that will result in 7g of flower being gifted by 416 Strains towards our Cannabis for Good initiative. Ultra Pink (Skookum) - Kootenay Botanicals - March Start

/u/Chubbsview

Smoked it as a wake and bake - Horrible decision. Extremely sticky strain. The smell is overpowering but the taste is good. Potency is where it wins. Definitely not a strain for wake and bake. Quality- 9.0/10 Potency- 9.5/10

King Jagger (Skookum) - Kootenay Botanicals - March Start

/u/JoynerLucas420

Did a wake and bake. Few drags into the joint and i was coughing my lungs out. It smells amazing. After Tropicana Cookies and strawberry jelly, i am in love with strains that smell like fruits. King jagger does have a fruity taste. Potency- 9/10 (Definitely not a wake and bake strain). Perfect for late afternoon. Quality- Extremely sticky buds. After Ultra Pink and Sherbert, i think this is my new favourite Skookum strain. ( Did not mention strawberry jelly because it’s not that potent compared to these 3)

Skookum Dutch Crunch from Kootenay Botanicals arrived today

/u/ExcellentBread2700

Very large, stinky, sticky top cola. Potent but very smooth in a joint with heavy body effects. I've never had Dutch Treat so this was nice to try.

MAC1- Kootenay Botanicals- December

/u/willygrosswilly

Lately I’ve become a coooookieeee monster, and I see no turning back. Historically GSC has always been a fav. I really dig the results of crossing it with a wide variety of other strains, and in that realm MAC1 shines. I found the nose of this batch fronted one of the most cookie smelling examples I’ve had. Def diesel, a sweetness, and a hint of citrus. I ordered a half to begin with and it was all beautiful medium sized buds. Dense and so frosted the colours, a kaleidoscope of greens with deep purple highlights, and wrought with flaming pistil, were obscured. I cashed in some points and ordered an O because I liked it so much. The O had more smalls than I would have liked, but they still smoked like champs, so moving on. Effects are delightful in being a quintessential hybrid. A nice euphoric hit out of the gate and then calming, relaxing, and happy. Not as big of a couch lock as The Blue Magoo Cookies, previously reviewed. A little pricey at regular but KB runs a weekly sale, and they cycle product every week so it I grabbed the O at 20% off. One can only hope that boxing day sales will yield some steals for Scoundrel. Happy Holidaze, Stay Toasty!!
