Strawberry Shortcake - Kootenay Craft - March 12

/u/Morguard

Sorry for the late reply. Busy testing the new batch ;) This isn't as good as I had hoped but it's not bad. Tastes good, smell isn't too strong. Smokes well, White ash. High doesn't last too long but that could just be my tolerance. 8/10

Violet Vixon - Kootenay Craft - March

/u/Honest710Reviews

# Violet Vixon -- Kootenay Craft -- Feb **(20/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers were done. **(20/20) Smell:** A strong sour liquor pours out of this bud, the smell is so potent and strong that it hits you in between the eyes almost like a menthol. After a few long inhales you could swore the nose hairs were burnt off. **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** Each nug was varied in size and carried a super bright green base that had polka dot blotches of purple and what looked like black. Thais really made the bug pop, especially when the blotches were on the heads of the bud that protruded. The bud was super dense and after cracking off a little bit of nug you would find THC everywhere all over your desk and fingers. This flower was doused in tons of trichomes that were super noticeable without any light. On Honest710Reviews instagram we posted a story asking if anyone could tell what the strain was and due to the unique characteristics of this strain it was called out almost instantly. **(20/20) Taste:** Violet Vixons taste really comes through and resembles the odor you get when you smell the jar. This strain carried a noticeable flavor that came through extremely well in my joints and bong tokes, it was sharp like a liquor on inhale and on the exhale was sour. **(20/20)Potency:** This was a very evened out buzz that was heavy in the chest and back aswell as potent with the mind. One bong toke would keep me in a daze for a good amount of time leaving me pleased with the quality of this flower. **TOTAL RATING: 100/100** **Final Thoughts:** Overall I loved this strain from Kootenay, strains that are sour or fruity usually attract my attention because they normally taste good while smoking. This strain was a joy to have as the terps that bounced out of this strain while being smoked where so noticeable that you could almost smell it in the after smoke that lingered in the room. I would suggest this strain to anyone who enjoys good tasting flower thats potent and looks amazing ! So basically to everyone. ^(All totals are summed up by 5 total categories, each category contains a total of 20 points value. Slurricane - Kootenay Craft - Feb 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Really loved this out of the gates as **Slurricane** was a strain I've been waiting to try and it had a solid fruity/gassy nose with great flavour, but over time got a bunch of harshness late. (Not sure if this sounds strange, but kinda feel like some buds smoked more smoothly than others, but) will keep observing + testing prior to writing our review That harshness aside, this Slurricane looks, smells and tastes great. Incredibly frosty medium nugs that arrived slightly dry with nice nutty/berry aromas. Would describe its taste as fruity/berry, nutty and sweet, finishes as a rich 'roasted' earthy sweetness that becomes harsh Felt a lot of the *Do-Si-Dos* parentage in its effects as an indica-leaning hybrid that packs a punch and has a bit of a comedown \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Note: KC sent us a quarter for review and we sourced more additionally as well, pictured are nugs from our order which were nicer than the review nugs this time around (more natural light shots at the site) Full Disclosure: Subsequent to our reviews, we are humbled that Kootenay Craft has become one of our approved charitable sponsors. LSO Mendo Breath - Kootenay Craft - Feb 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Not as visually impressive as some others from KC, but this LSO **Mendo Breath** slows me down a bit with tingly, hazy effects that settle as a relaxing body high Dense well-trimmed medium/small nugs with a sweet/earthy/chemmy pungency in the jar, leading off with a similar woody/chemmy sweetness before finishing as a 'roasted' earthy sweetness Of note, this cultivar is much sweeter in its taste than other Mendo Breath crosses we've enjoyed (such as LSO PugsBreath, Cactus Breath).. Lots of unexpected woody/caramel flavours late, really enjoying this unique cultivar as an LSO grow \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Full Disclosure: This is a donated product that will result in 7g of flower being gifted by 416 Strains towards our Cannabis for Good initiative. Chernoyble - Kootenay Craft - (Late) Feb

/u/Honest710Reviews

# Chernoyble -- Kootenay Craft -- Feb **(20/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers were done. **(20/20) Smell:** When you opened this container you would be blasted in the nose with a pungent aroma of lime sherbet. The strong citrus start to the smell was followed by that sweet sherbet sugary aroma that was a super pleasant odor **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** Each nug strongly resembled that of a straight sativa strain, the little heads poked out in every angle and each nug was sized differently. The bud carried a white color palette due to the immense amount of kief followed by a purple edging that topped the leafs of most of the buds. This color combo really looked unique and that of a craft strain. The bud was a little more drier than normal however when busted up the resin kief would clump your bud together making it super easy to roll / work with. When busted up the bud hid all of the purple edging and was basically a neon green. **(15/20) Taste:** First 4-5 drags from a joint are so tasty and full of flavor. You get the lime citrus flavor on inhale and the gentle sweet sherbet sugary flavor on the exhale. This strain was a joy to smoke however near the end of the joint with this strain I don’t know why it seemed to be a little harsher then other strains. **(16/20)Potency:** This strains buzz was kind of weird, it made you super relaxed but your mind was still racing, which would leave you feeling lazy and useless. I like Sativas that are a little more productive then this. This strain made me feel like it is more for someone using Cannabis for medical reasons such as joint pain, back pain etc. People like me who probably mostly smoke for recreational purposes, I only use cannabis for medical reasons when I have a day off which I'm sure we all have. In which case I rely on a heavy Indica to help me relax. Overall I would suggest this strain for a uplifting sativa more of a relaxant for office people who need to still be using their brain but want the body effects from cannabis. **TOTAL RATING: 97/100** **Final Thoughts:** This strain seemed to burn a little dark for me which is unusual from Kootenay however it was only 1 nug so far so thinking it was just a bottom of the plant type nug. Either way this strain was a awesome body relaxant later coming back to this review I realized that I just was planning to be more productive today and this strain kinda hindered that. Overall I wouldn't say this buzz is too much of a Sativa and more like a Indica. ^(All totals are summed up by 5 total categories, each category contains a total of 20 points value. Silver Surfer - Kootenay Craft - Mar. 4

/u/-mrfantastic-

Just a fantastic flower; very potent; incredible high. Strong cerebral rush, and body 'oscillation'(like the silver surfer, ha)/buzz come-up; visuals too, tracers of light. Felt like and saw lightning, lol. Picked up a half O and very much pleased with this product; this is part of the reserve stash.. for however long that should last, ha. True quads; some of the finest I've smoked. Anyway, highly recommended buy; and first time purchase from K.C. Compliments to the grower(s).

Fruit Bert - Kootenay Craft - Feb 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Not one of my faves from KC (def our least fave from Feb).. Unique-looking nugs with a bit of popcorn, slightly dry, earthy, kushy sweetness in its aroma.. Starts with woody, musky notes and then is mostly kushy/earthy with hints of baked goods, fading as 'roasted' sweetness with some harshness. Feels indica-dom, I get a slightly sedative stone mostly from this - haven't enjoyed either parent (*Fruit Loops* x *Sunset Sherbet*) before unfortunately \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Full Disclosure: This is a donated product that will result in 7g of flower being gifted by 416 Strains towards our Cannabis for Good initiative. Fruit Bert - Kootenay Craft - Feb

/u/Honest710Reviews

# Fruit Bert -- Kootenay Craft -- Feb **(20/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers were done. **(18/20) Smell:** I was expecting to be blasted with pineapple and lime, but instead was greeted with a sugary sweet aroma that was followed by a sherbert sweet aroma of fruits. **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** This bud had sparkly white trichomes that were not camera shy, they dazzled like a rappers iced out and I quote “This nug is dripping”. The dark purples to the bright greens just camouflaged throughout the bud is a sight to see. The bud felt slightly dry on the outside but as soon as you broke it apart the sticky resiny trichome abundance would keep the nug tightly together. The bud would be super sticky and easy to roll and I found this strain to carry a more black/dark purple color in the grinder followed by this tropical sand colored crystal that really stood out. **(16/20) Taste:** Really didn't find the taste on this strain to be too pleasant I really didn't find it fruity and that sucks because I love fruity strains, however this strain did produce a lot of resin pretty quickly but If I'm correct this strain is usually above 25% THC so its a stronger more potent strain that most likely burns up into a bit more resin. **(20/20)Potency:** Super heavy potent high that was euphoric and relaxing, I got so stoned I forgot I was stoned. Fruit Bert was no strain to joke with I accidentally smoked some before something Important and it was the most miserable hour of my life I was absolutely blasted trying to function normally I'm pretty sure everyone knew i was high af. **TOTAL RATING: 96/100** **Final Thoughts:** What an amazing relaxant and Euphoric high, this strain is awesome to wind the day down with and if you overall just love potent flower then by all means fuck the kinda weird taste and go for it ! This strain is insane ! ^(All totals are summed up by 5 total categories, each category contains a total of 20 points value. Sometimes a score may be low due to a certain aspect of the evaluation.
