Pink Pugsbreath - Kootenay Craft - Jan 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

**Pink Pugsbreath** was my fave of KC's January introductions, glad the winner of our draw in a Discord server also chose this cultivar as their prize. Very impressive buds with minimal signs of handling and a great cure, nose of earth, herbs and a woody/musky sweetness. Tastes exactly like how you'd imagine a nice *Pink Kush* would taste (refined earthy sweetness with nice vanilla undertones) blended with interesting woody/Mendo notes from the *Pugsbreath* parent. Indica-dominant with noticeable physical effects, good potency but wasn't overly sedative Quality: 9-9.5/10 Value: 9/10

Kootenay Craft - Diesel God - Mid Jan - Massive 10g Bud

/u/thelonioussphere

... and next up batting 1.000 - Kootenay Craft.. Value 8/10...10/10 with discount. Quality 8/10 for them. Anyplace else this is a 10/10 The oz came in 2 half jars. Both had big nugs, no smalls, all over a gram at least. Except jar #2 had that massive cola inside. They just be trying to show off. I don’t want to smoke it now. First world problems. Arrived in 2 days. Bag appeal - Very nice florescent green and dark green traits covered in white snow all over. Small amber hairs covered also. Sticky soft buds. Falls apart in grinder as if nothing inside. Not dense at all. Almost no stems. Smell - a strong sweet and skunk sour smell. Gassy. Earthy finish. Pleasant and not offensive at all. You can smell the terpy goodness. More so after the grind. Taste and burn. Amazingly well in both volcano vape and joint. Burns smooth and uniform. Got 3 huge bags out of a bowl in the volcano. Skunk on the pull. sour aftertaste on the j as well as volcano. Great taste overall. Potency - More of a Sativa high but has the indica power in reserve. Don’t have to smoke much to get high but you want to keep smoking as its smooth and pleasant. 8/10 on the richter scale Overall 9/10 - this bud is a steal at this price. Get it while its still in stock. A tir3 with Kootenay is tir1 any place else. Only $172 oz full price and free shipping.

Wedding Crasher #5 - Kootenay Craft - Jan 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

This one was less impressive visually, arriving as tidy, frosty small nugs with a nice aroma of cake, earth and berries. Woody, nutty flavours to start, 'roasted' earthy sweetness with hints of berries. Heady hybrid with solid potency and quick-hitting effects that settle as a functional stone with improved appetite, and a slight crash Quality: 8.5/10 Value: 8/10

Monkey Punch - Kootenay Craft - Jan 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Super aromatic! This **Monkey Punch** (*Grease Monkey* x *Purple Punch*) smells like sweet tropical fruit punch with rich gassy notes. Arrived as caked but scraggly, loose small buds mostly with impressive coverage and intact pistils. Feels like an indica-leaning hybrid but wasn't as potent as some of the heavier hitters from this drop (MeatBreath, Cookes and Cream, Pink Pugsbreath) Quality: 8.5/10 Value: 8/10 More previews of this cultivar and other Strains on Deck can now be seen at the new **/previews** section of our site

9 Pound Hammer - Kootenay Craft - Jan 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Have wanted to try **9 Pound Hammer** for a while, definitely should have even sooner. Gorgeous resin-covered buds (excited to work on macros of this) with some purples + some unique peach-coloured pistils. Earthy aroma with notes of citrus and grape, smooth creamy flavours followed by mostly earthy flavours with sweet berries on the exhale as temperatures increase. A surprisingly tasty, relaxing indica that starts as a heaviness in the temples before settling as enjoyable physical relief with improved appetite and mild sedation Quality: 9/10 Value: 9/10

MeatBreath - Kootenay Craft - Jan 2020 (Preview)

/u/416strains

This one is super smelly and unique. Funky chemical/skunky/meaty pungency, woody/chemmy Mendo flavours, finishes as a nice 'roasted' sweetness with notes of diesel throughout. First time trying **MeatBreath**, and would describe its effects as euphoria followed by noticeable physical relaxation without much sedation. Nice indica-dom for body pains/aches Quality: 9/10 Value: 9/10

Diesel god-Kootenay craft-Jan 2020

/u/hellomyfellowfriends

I haven’t smoked many “craft “ strains if any and I’m low key blown away. The nose is amazing opening the nicely sized jar. The bud structure is gorgeous, one big nug and a few smaller ones which is fine by me. I keep opening the jar cause it smells so damn good. Super potent nice hybrid High to go with it. For the price(reg55$) without a discount I would call this good value. Even better for me as I used a coupon. Would purchase again

High School Sweetheart - Kootenay Craft - January

/u/Honest710Reviews

# High School Sweet Heart -- Kootenay Craft -- January **(20/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers where done. **(14/20) Smell:** More a subtle smell from Kootenay I had no idea what to expect when coming into this strain. There really wasn't anything that stood out enough for me to really give a good detailed description on the smell to this other than it danked like good flower. **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** This is not your standard looking flower, this bud was blotched with bright green to dark green, light purple to dark purple just absolutely blasted in trichomes oozing out from every crevice this flower really had something in for the user it was just waiting to be smoked. When I went to break the bud apart it was just so dense and sticky it barely wanted to come off of the stem. Overall the bud was really cool too look at under a jewelers loupe just due to all the crazy colors you would see. After busting the flower up I found the grinder to just eat it away because of how sticky it was. I think I blew threw this strain due to this. **(14/20) Taste:** Was not a fan on the flavor that came from this flower it almost tasted burnt (No pun intended). From all of the other flowers I’ve had from Kootenay this one was just on the duller side, coming from the smell I wasn't expecting to much in terms of taste. **(20/20)Potency:** Well like most flowers of this grade if you don't like the taste the potency usually makes up for it. In this flowers case it sure as hell packs a punch after just a small pinch each time i went to toke I would be absolutely blasted to the moon with a heavy head high followed by a weightless feeling in all of my joints. **TOTAL RATING: 92/100** **Final Thoughts:** Barely any taste but a cool buzz. THIS IS THE FLOWER YOU SQUISH, Concentrate it and get the real potential ! ^(All totals are summed up by 5 total categories, each category contains a total of 20 points value. Stone Fruit - Kootenay Craft - Dec 2019

/u/416strains

A rare top shelf cultivar of unknown lineage, this **Stone Fruit** arrived as highly resinous, irregular medium nugs with plump calyxes, intact pistils and ample (but frosty) protective trim. Despite its generic name, this indica-dominant mystery strain has a nuanced, pungent nose of woody musk and fragrant fruit, foreshadowing delectable flavours to come. These fluffy, pale green buds lead with woody, floral and earthy notes before settling into a pleasant blend of baked goods, earthy musk and sweet berries, maintaining a smooth, distinctive fruitiness throughout the memorable experience. Offering enjoyable, euphoric relaxation without sedation (unless overused), this Stone Fruit was of above-average potency. Efficacy & Potency: 8/10 Aroma, Taste & Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Bud Structure & Development: 9/10 **Score: 89-92** **Grade: AAAA-** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ KC gifted 7g of this as part of our Dec review pack + we immediately ordered lots more. Knowing how they operate with small-batch growers, felt we'd likely never get to try this mystery strain ever again, so I hope to enjoy this jar slowly. My final guess of this cross would be *Rosetta Stone* x *Fruity Pebbles OG*, but am almost certain I am wrong haha. Mad Caps - Kootenay Craft - Dec 2019

/u/416strains

Arriving on the dry side as highly-resinous medium nugs with intact pistils, ample protective trim and minimal signs of handling, these **Mad Caps** (*Mothertongue* x *9 Pound Hammer*) had a sweet aroma of tart citrus, berries and earth in the jar, releasing hints of diesel when ground. This balanced hybrid leads with notes of sweet citrus before settling into an earthy, fruity medley of rich berry/melon flavours and finishing as an earthy, gasoline sweetness. Offering euphoric, functional relaxation that begins as a light buzz behind the eyes, these Mad Caps were of moderate potency. Efficacy & Potency: 7.5/10 Aroma, Taste & Enjoyment: 9/10 Bud Structure & Development: 9.25/10 **Score: 87-90** **Grade: AAAA-** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ KC gifted 7g of this as part of our Dec review pack + we immediately ordered more when we got this over the holidays. Looked killer, with great flavours, but I hope for more oomph. Full Disclosure: Subsequent to our reviews, we are humbled that Kootenay Craft has become one of our approved charitable sponsors.
