Banana Punch #9 - Kootenay Craft - Dec 2019 (Preview)

/u/416strains

Thanks for the feedback, but nope - no reason for me to output anything to the web without a watermark. All credit to the bud, then the growers/sources, etc.. Would not have chosen the most generic alias to run with if I cared at all about credit haha. Merry Christmas!

Member Berry - Kootenay Craft - Dec

/u/Honest710Reviews

# Member Berry -- Kootenay Craft -- Dec **(20/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers where done. **(20/20) Smell:** YUM-YUM-YUM…. WOW this container is packed with terps just bouncing out ready to explode as soon as you crack the seal. The smell is a huge mixture its a blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, orange, banana smell all blended into one. The smell really hit you in between the eyes as if it was like rubbing alcohol it was just so intense. The smell is absolutely to die for it is a phenomenal smell I could not be more excited to try this strain. **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** Each bud had a multi head pattern which would strongly resemble a pure Sativa strain completely disregarding the fact it's an Indica dominant Hybrid I would consider with the 80IND-20SAT % ratio. Wedding Crasher from Speed Greens two months ago had a similar bud structure and its not one I seem to come across often, however I absolutely love this structure for a nug. The bud was just shining from the diamond like huge trichomes just spattered all over the nug, every chance they got to reflect the light they would. The bud would bust up super fluffy and what looked like a 0.5p would grind up into a full grinder which was pretty awesome. The bud rolled super well and burned with ease leaving an awesome white ash ! **(20/20) Taste:** HALLELUJAH, \*Chef finger Kiss\* The flavor just poured out of this strain, the smell would even carry a berry odour to it as if you had a Juicy J paper for the wrapping. I dont think I have had a strain carrying this much flavor from Kootenay yet this hands down is staple to end 2019 in. **(20/20)Potency:** Well I don't honestly think I can say that I made it 100% the way threw a joint I would get about 60% and end up putting it in the ashtray and forgetting about it. This strain just absolutely demolished me. The buzz was super heavy in the eyes and body it would have you slouching even if you didn't want to or even almost falling asleep just sitting. **TOTAL RATING: 100/100** **Final Thoughts:** Honestly I said fuck it and put packaing at 20 for this one even though it doesnt have a glass jar becouse this strain is to absolutely die for and it needs to be the first strain at 100/100 on this page, the flavor is crazy the buzz is potent. Taste good, works well. What else can you ask for from your flower? ^(All totals are summed up by 5 total categories, each category contains a total of 20 points value. Amthyst - Kootenay Craft - Dec 17th 2019

/u/dnmSeaDragon

I only smoked a little bit since i had to go out and do a few things but it smells kinda fruity and taste a bit earthy and maybe a bit of spice. The high is nice Wlwasn't tired at first, just relaxed and happy now that it's wearing off I'm tired as fuck lol so definitely not something to wanna smoke a lot of before doing anything. Very smooth and burns mostly white also.

Silver Surfer - Kootenay Craft - Dec

/u/Honest710Reviews

# Silver Surfer -- Kootenay Craft -- Dec **(19/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers where done. **(15/20) Smell:** If I was blind folded and opened this container I would resemble the smell identical to a Sour Strain, it was super pungent and in your face but like a sour warhead candy it makes you pucker up. The smell was really generic and didn't stand out to me that much for any unique smells. **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** Each bud was absolutely blasted with trichomes, top to bottom. The trichomes where a super bright shade of white that just really made the flower stand out, it was super sticky and stinky when you would start to rip the bud apart, this had to be one of my favorite strains from Kootenay for appearance. When I would grab some flower from the grinder to roll one up I would find it was sooo sticky you could almost roll a snowman. **(15/20) Taste:** This strain had a really mild flavor and I got more the taste of “Smoke”. I feel that this is just the type of strain it is but how much it smelled I really thought it was going to have a stronger flavor. **(20/20)Potency:** Sometimes you can put aside flavor for potency and thats what I think the trade off is with this flower, it hits like a train going full speed into a car parked on the crossing tracks. It absolutely got me blasted every time I smoked one, I had a little bit of a rough time getting over the flavor because I do like flowers that have the fruity terps. The buzz was a complete body and head buzz it started off with a heavy body buzz that slowly transitioned into a mental buzz that could keep you entertained for a few hours doing whatever. **TOTAL RATING: 89/100** **Final Thoughts:** Not a fan of the flavor however a huge fan of the buzz. Would love to see this genetic move forward with some other strains that have better flavors, so in the end you can combine potency with taste. ^(All totals are summed up by 5 total categories, each category contains a total of 20 points value. Cactus Breath - Kootenay Craft - December 2019

/u/trojanskin

Ordered 21g of this. Pretty dry for me but it's already sitting in a jar with boveda. Smells excellent. Free edible pack included, thanks a lot KC! =) won't be able to try it until way too late tonight... but maybe I will try potency with a small J before going to hit some bars.

Ice Age - Kootenay Craft - Dec

/u/Honest710Reviews

# Ice Age -- Kootenay Craft -- Dec **(19/20)Packaging:** Came in a small little plastic container perfect to fit a Quarter. It had a cool gold hand written label on the top identifying which strain as well as a white label with all the information about the bud on the side. In the pack also came a nice sized Boveda that I carried over onto other things after these containers where done. **(20/20) Smell:** The smell on this bud made me put everything else I had open aside and roll one up right away. It had a fruity undertone covered with a gassy smell more relatable to a unique strain like Black Roses or Dosi Pie. **(20/20) Appearance/Texture:** Light purple, dark purple, bright green, dark green the whole damn spectrum of colors that could be on the plant are on this bud and it looks phenomenal. The bud is frosted top to bottom with blotches of lime green and fluorescent purples blasted in patches. Scatterd is a bright orange pistol that makes a statement veining itself through the nug. The bud was so dense it almost resembled a brick, but was still like Styrofoam when you snapped it apart. Might I had that the 7g container I got was 1 nug that weighed to 7.3 , this was hella Impressive. **(20/20) Taste:** One of the cleanest, smoothest fruity flavors I have ever had on a flower. I actually ended up grabbing another container because I just loved this strain so much, it was super clean and burned with such a snow white ash, you would get a subtle hint of the fruity terps which would then be followed by a slight kushy flavor as you exhaled. I couldn't figure out the fruit it resembled. I sat here sniffing the jar for almost an hour now its fruity I just can’t tell you what one. **(20/20)Potency:** Really enjoyed this strain, its labelled as a hybrid and it really does smoke like one. Initially the buzz gives you a huge jolt of energy and mellows down to a more mild buzz that lets you know it's time to smoke again. I actually really found the buzz to be awesome to smoke when you have friends around. Everyone seemed to be more talkative and outgoing which was super nice compared to the usual lazy mellowed out Indicas always floating around. **TOTAL RATING: 99/100** **Final Thoughts:** Looks amazing, has a smooth smoke and taste amazing this bud really shows what Kootenay can do ! Hands down one of my favorite strains I have received so far I actually ended up putting in a second order to grab more due to this (Probably the reason its sold out

Oregon Golden Goat - Kootenay Craft - Nov 2019

/u/416strains

Arriving on the dry side as chunky large nugs with some protective trim, this **Oregon Golden Goat** has a pleasant aroma of citrus and sweet pine. This sativa-dominant hybrid (*Hawaiian* x *Romulan* x *Island Sweet Skunk*) leads with minty notes before settling into flavours of citrus and pine, maintaining a fruity, skunky pungency for most of the experience. Offering relaxed but uplifting cerebral effects with dry eyes as a likely adverse reaction, this value Oregon Golden Goat was of moderate potency. Efficacy & Potency: 7.5/10 Aroma, Taste & Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Bud Structure & Visual Appeal: 8/10\* **Score: 85-88** **Grade: AAA+** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Reviewer’s Note: Two seeds can be seen from these photos, though we haven’t come across them in our consumption thus far. Ice Age - Kootenay Craft - Nov 2019

/u/416strains

Arriving as impressive large colas of green and purple colouration, with bright orange pistils and mostly tidy trim, this **Ice Age** has a fruity aroma of sweet berries, vanilla and pine. A mystery hybrid of unexplained origins, this balanced cultivar leads with bright notes of pine before easing into sweet woody/musky/berry flavours and concluding as a smooth, earthy sweetness. Offering an enjoyable, slow-developing experience with heightened creativity, improved sociability, and mild physical relaxation with only light sedation, this Ice Age was of above average potency. Efficacy & Potency: 8/10 Aroma, Taste & Enjoyment: 9/10 Bud Structure & Visual Appeal: 9/10 **Score: 88-91** **Grade: AAAA** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Was pretty convinced that this cross came from Purple Candy or at least had some Sweet Tooth parentage and had a lot of fun trying to guess the lineage, but nope haha.. Way off this time and this hybrid is actually a mishmash of a few Cookies crosses (*Hydroxx*) x *Peanut Butter Breath*. (After my terrible guess, KC explained that the depth of Ice Age's terpenes came from the previous crosses used to create both parent strains.) Full Disclosure: This is a donated product that will result in 7g of flower being gifted by 416 Strains towards our Cannabis for Good initiative.
