LavaFlowers Disclaimer - I was chatting with one of their reps and they offered to send a sample pack in exchange for a review. This however does not bias my review in any way. Package was shipped Friday from Alberta and arrived Tuesday in Newfoundland. Package was a small shipping box, samples were in small zip bags, all double vac sealed. Buds slightly squished but not too bad, no smell at all. Pics https://imgur.com/a/g7KvbKh OG - I had high hopes for this sample. Nice small, tight bud with good trim. Slight lemon/citrus notes but not strong smelling. Smoked a little harsh, with thick white smoke that filled the lungs and left a heavy feeling in the upper chest. Slight head buzz and slight tingle in the face and body. Effects were very short lived. Goo Berry - Dry, finger busted. Faint berry / sweet smell. Harsh smoke that didn't carry that sweet taste. Never felt much in the way of effects. Mango - tight buds with a slight spring. Snapped open, dry but not as dry as other samples. Decent mango / incense nose with wood / spice on the exhale. Got an ok buzz from this, energetic and uplifted. Watermelon - Light, fluffy bud. Least dry from all samples. Slight sweet / melon nose. Best tasting of the samples, but almost zero effects. Cherry OG - I actually enjoyed this one. The bud was dense and dry outside. There was some decent spring in this bud, and when it was busted, it was slightly dank inside. Sticky enough to jam up my scissors. All the other reviews I have seen on this strain from Lava Flowers was saying it was extremely dry, don't know if I got some from a different batch maybe. Really nice cherry nose which was still slightly present when smoking. I felt the OG effects of this almost straight away in the body while my head was foggy and found it hard to concentrate. Based on the price, I would get this again. This mom seems to be going after the budget bulk market, as the lowest all flower is sold at is 1 oz. Cheap prices, as most oz are in the $90 - $110 range. I've had much better budget ounces but I've also had much worse.

** Product received for free, walk on if it bothers you ** MOM Name Lava Flowers Overall rating out of 10: 7/10 Sign Up: Didn't sign up they sent me a PM on the forum offering samples Ordering & Pricing: They sent me a sample of each of their 8 strains so I didn't have to pick or pay. Prices are fairly cheap by MOM standards, a couple of 90$ options, up to 150 for their top strain. Communication: Very courteous, rapid PM replies on the forum, not much to say here. They've been competent at answering people's question on the forum, good stuff. Packaging: Clear dimebags, double good grade vacuum bags in a small sturdy cardboard box. Zero smell. Only complaint I have is the buds were literally squished really bad, some air in the bags would be a big plus to keep the buds better. Products / Photos: https://imgur.com/a/WFYWTVk Purple Trainwreck: Bud was pressed almost to a solid block (all the strains came like this, more or less). It's hard to comment on how good it looks, it's really been mistreated by vacuuming hard. Despite this, you can clearly see (well not on my fuzzy pic) the trichones that cover the whole bud. The microscope pic speaks for itself. It's the least dry of the samples, but it's still pretty dry, but there is very slight risidual humidity in the core. The colors are magnificient, it's a mix of dark greens and deep purple, the bud is almost cut in the center with 3/4 of it mainly purple, but the other end is green with almost no purple. The nose is faint but nice and complex, sweet with hints of berries, a hint of citrus. The smoke is smooth, no harshness but the taste overall is not super present when smoking it, but perceptible with every draw of the joint. The buzz is a good mix of indica/sativa effects, you get a strong body buzz but it's not tirying, so you really get the best of both worlds. The dryness and appearance prevents me from calling it a quad but it's definitely a AAA+ and a very nice deal at it's 150$/oz. Giving this a 8/10. Watermelon x ZSkittles: Bud was pressed almost to a solid block (all the strains came like this, more or less). This came in VERY dry, it's like pot pourri dry. There isn't much nose coming out of it. The taste had little terps but still had a very faint sweetish state, but it came with a harshness that made it not much fun to smoke. Buzz is moderate, good mix of body and mind, not too couchlocky. Giving this a 5/10. 130$ oz. Pink Berry: 90$ OZ. Pretty much no terps, but smokable, a slight harshness but forgivable for the price. 3/10 Cherry: 100$ OZ. Tiny bit of terps, nice taste but it comes through faintly and sporadically. A bit harsh. 4.5/10 OG: 110$ OZ. Not much terps but tiny hints of pepper/sourness, reminds me of cookie strains. Bit harsh but manageable. 4/10 Mango: 90$ OZ. This one has some terps but faint, it's flowery/perfumy. Slight harshness but forgivable for the price. 4.5/10 Goo Berry: 90$ OZ. No perceivable terps, bit harsh. Least interesting of the 90$ options. 3/10 Watermelon: 90$ OZ. Some terps but faint, very low grade version of watermelon. A bit of a sharp harshness, smokable. 4.5/10 Incentive for Customers: Free shipping on 250+, 15$ flat rate shipping otherwise. Incentive for Review: The pack was offered with no strings attached, they did not ask for a review in return. Notes: All strains except Purple Trainwreck were extremely dry (bust with your fingers in a few seconds dry).

Package/shipping - In a box with double vacuum sealing, which made sense the moment I punctured through layer two and the smell assailed my home. Came from an unusual location. Two stickers were included–one branded and one twisted stoner sticker. Buds are ingloriously packaged in standard tiny jewelry sized er sorry weed sized ziplock bags with sharpie writing labels. Perks for me - Free weed appeared in my mail box. Perks for you - …stickers and weed? Great bulk prices. Customer Service - They seem nice but I haven't had any real 'customer servicing' issues with them. Buds - All dense/compact and .20 - .30 grams over a gram. Because of how incredibly dense everything is, I would only get these if you have a smaller hole grinder, not a two piece, and not a wide hole grinder, or you'll just end up with chunks. Grinding in a fine grinder will separate everything into a functionally fluffy pile. Watermelon - 7/10 Fabulosa. Tastes like summer. It’s a great vape flush with flavor. Smokes down to a grey-white-black mix and it’s super tasty, definitely has a watermelon freshness in the smoke too. At its current sale price of $90 an ounce, it is more than worth it. Watermelon Skittles - 8/10 Smells so bad I almost refused to vape it. Once I did, I was glad I got over its piss-dirt-like back alley odour. It’s actually sweet and pungent and very enjoyable in the vape. It definitely has something going on from a Haze lineage. It is a fucking AWESOME smoke. Reduces to a whitish ash, smooth, flavourful without being the same violating pungency of the smell. I highly recommend smoking this strain. The cure was spot on and stayed lit. Uplifting head focusing sativa high. Purple Train Wreck - 8/10 Extremely dense. It’s a shame it got so compressed, because the flower itself does seem to be high quality, higher humidity levels with a spring to it. Nose curling gassiness. Freakin gorgeous color on it too. Burns to a light-medium gray ash and it’s pretty smooth, amazing gassy tasting smoke. It isn’t an immediate assault high, the body high rolls in about three minutes after you smoke it, giving you just enough time to get safely to bed before you can’t move anymore. Body tingles. In the vape you won’t escape before the body high comes on and you will be too heavy to move. Or else I’m just fat. Anyway, the vape tastes like gentle diesel. I am a bit sorry this is the best weed someone’s ever had but it’s a very nice $150 ounce. I’d definitely consider buying this one. Is it the best flower I’ve encountered recently? Nah, but I respect what it’s doing and the price is right. Godberry - 6/10 Earthy berry taste. The earthen smell is so intense as to be almost unpleasant to me. The berry notes are sustained throughout the vaping experience and if you’re into that deep wine-like berry flavor, it is present here. Burns black black and black, harsh smoke. It’s so pretty but I just don’t like it very much. Pinkberry - 7/10 Busting it up, you get a nice mix of sweetness and berry notes in the aroma, very pleasant. In the vape, the taste is the delicious sweetness of a berry smoothie or juice or something, in my humble opinion it’s superior to Gooberry. Being one of the $90 ounces it’s WORTH IT imo. Mango - 7/10 Tastes like mango for the first few hits in the vape but as soon as the green is gone, all of the fun goes with it. Smoked, it tastes like mango all the way through, and it burns to a gray-black mix, reasonably smooth, always delicious. OG - 6/10 Stanky diesel/gassiness, not skunky at all. I’ve had so many versions of OG Kush. This one is pure gas. Like sucking on an exhaust pipe. I hate it in the vape. The high is a head gripping one which focuses me in on whatever I’m looking at like I’m a shark. Like my intensity ramped up by 5000 but only through a 1 inch square. This is sometimes a very beneficial high to have and worth noting. Held its flavor forever. This was not a perk for me. Smoked, it burns dark grey, tastes gassy in a good way. I recommend this version of the strain for smokers, because it just falls flat in the vape. My friends seemed to enjoy it though so if you like a gassy weed it’s for you! Cherry OG - 6.8/10 Black ash, harsh smoke, but it tastes soooooooooooo good smoked. Way better than in the vape, which is unremarkable. While the first vape hit has a subtle cherry sweetness, vaporized it reminds me mostly of cough medication mixed with gas. Smoked, it just makes the smoke a magnificent sweet, missing the notes of medication. While the flavor dies down fairly quick, the vapor lasts for a while, making it relatively satisfying. Closing remarks: Lava Flowers is very well priced for the product you get. While they don’t sell anything smaller than an ounce (unless you want a mix and match ounce, or the gram sampler) that focus on more bulk sized offerings translates to incredible deals. Worth taking a look. I would definitely consider checking them out, especially if you’d like your weed to ship from a location somewhere in between BC and Toronto, confusing everyone. This time we have all 8 strains on the LavaFlowers menu! Sign Up: I didn't personally sign up, but it seems simple enough. Ordering & Pricing: Most of the strains are 1350/lb or 90/oz which is pretty nice. The other prices don't really line up as far as I can see. Lots of similar quality products. Communication: Communication is alright. Decent response times, quick e-mails. Packaging: Small box with the products inside two vaccum sealed bags. My samples got a little crushed by the vaccuum seal since they are in regular plastic baggies. Products / Photos: Purple Trainwreck Let's start with the strain I'm sure people are curious about. I don't think it's quite the AAAA that it was advertised as on this forum, (I'm sure lots of people would disagree) but with that said it's very enjoyable and not far off. Well trimmed bud with very few visual problems. Beautiful purple color all over the bud, so frosty it looks like it's covered in snow. Definitely the best strain LF has available. Smokes pretty smooth, burns very clean. Strong relaxing high that I definitely wouldn't recommend to people with a low tolerance unless they want to go to sleep. I'd say it's a very enjoyable 8.5/10(AAA+) https://i.imgur.com/4osFpC3.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/6AbwSwz.jpg Mango This strain has a nice sweet flavor that's surprisingly enjoyable. It makes me cough a little but, and the ash isn't nearly as white as it could be. With that said, the buds are trimmed impeccably and the smoke tastes great. The buds look quite similar, and have pretty similar effects. The Watermelon has a slightly more sour smell, which I enjoy less than the sweetness of the Mango. From what I can tell it's a bit of an odd sour smell. Nicely trimmed sample bud that smokes pretty well. Not incredibly smooth, but not very harsh either. Not the best I've ever smoked, but quite enjoyable nonetheless. Well trimmed buds, nice color. Fairly pungent gassy smell, with a nice clean burn and smooth smoke. No harshness on exhale. Very enjoyable, strong indica had that had me lazing around in bed for about a couple hours. Much sweeter smell, not trimmed quite as well and quite different in color. Slightly harsh smoke, ash is a little gray.
