Zhit Biscotti (GetSkookum) - April 2023

Picked up some of this Zhit Biscotti, grown by Captain Ron in a flourishing living aquaponic setup. Appearance: 9.5/10 Super colourful, attractive, caked, deftly trimmed, good stickiness, excellent cure, right on point for what I’d expect from Skookum & Cpt Ron. Good sized buds in the tin as well. Aroma: 9.2/10 Baked goods, sweet, herbal, a touch of gas/chem cleaner. Flavour: 9.3/10 baked goods, chocolate, creamy, a touch gassy and spicy, burns to a light grey but slightly speckled ash. High: 9.5/10 With its flavour and aroma profile I wasn’t expecting it to kick as hard. Very buzzy, strong and long-lasting. Manifested behind my eyes for the first portion, with the latter portions draping a calming blanket over my plans. Great for long periods of focus. Overall: 9.3/10 Always happy to try something new, would I order again? I’m not sure, there are always so many flavourful choices on GetSkookum, but I would definitely recommend to those who enjoy a chocolatey flavour profile with big potency.

Purple C Popper by Skookum 27% THC 2% CBN Provided by PotCargo Lineage: Runtz x Purple Cherry Cookies Let me start this review by stating I originally ordered strawberry jerry,  but were sold out at the time. They offered this instead, and I'm really glad I choose it. Apon opening the tin can, greeted to a  loud, fruity aroma . Loud would be understatedment,  this is a strain that makes itself present in a great way. Trim is good, cured very well and just looks stunning under light. I will knock it for bag appeal ever so slighty. Not bad by any means but i think it could be a bit better. Skookum's motto is "truth is in the burn" and I fully agree with that. Tin can did compresses some bud up top but nothing to ruin the experience.  Humidity is very sticky, easy to break and gives your grinder hell . Packaging (●|●|●|●|○) Here what to expect vaping this strain: 170-180°: Tropical fruit punch  ?? 190-200: Same taste with pine ?? Some of the smoothest  weed I've ever smoked. Terp profile is definitely noticeable,  with big clouds even on the lowest temps. Terp profile leans on the fruitty, almost juicy tropical vibes. Very vibrant throughout the sesh and maintained the terp profile throughout the sesh. Smoke (●|●|●|●|●) Effects hit you across the face and surrounding your body. Hybird with a indica backing would best described this strain. Can be considered a couch lock at times. It's starts off very much around your eyes than slowly builds up around your body. Think relaxed, no concern, silly type of euphoria.  Makes everything around you vibrant and relaxed. Perfect strain to kick off a weekend ideal situation. (? ? ? ?) Potency was wonderful,  strong body stone with a nice couch lock melting type of feeling to back.  You can tell this one has a lot of love put into it type of vibes all around . Perfect for: Campfire ? Movie/Gaming ? ? Experience level: Moderate to higher experience  (●|●|○) Worth mentioning this produced some big clouds in the Mighty. Very smooth and kept its taste throughout the experience,  always a sign of quality cannibas. Effects (●|●|●|●|●) Overall, as a first introduction to Skookum, I'm now a firm believer by their product. I've smoked a lot of AAAA+ on the legal side, but this just delivers so much more. Flavor and Ponetecy is on point. My biggest complaints would be how the tin can compress the top colas, making it almost flat. Still presentable but noticed it to be worth mentioning at least. Also wish they had an age date on the cans. I know that the tins do there job very well but it's just nice to have. It's expensive for a reason. I would definitely try Strawberry Jerry next without a doubt in my mind. The term "AAAA" is thrown around a lot, bit I feel this is a great example of one. Tastes just as good as it smokes. I was hesitant at first, but I'm really glad I gave it a try. Would recommend: Yes ? Would rebuy: Yes ?

Death Bubba - Skookum - March

Death Bubba by Skookum. My first time trying them after hearing much hype, and from what I can tell it’s some good bud. ? Bag appeal: while not quite a bag, the can appeal here is not the most impressive thing about the bud. It’s certainly squished, which is a negative for me. However the shiny layer of trichomes brings it around. It’s sticky and dense. ?? Nose: Heavy on the Death Star, there’s a strong gassy/earthiness, with separate kush notes on the backend. If you were looking for a “kush” dominant terpene profile, I’d suggest maybe go with the pink they offer. ? Burn: Pretty middle of the road for the price point, even perhaps lower mid. Very dark ash in a Raw paper, as well as a smaller oil ring. Smoke is kind of rougher as well for the price point. ☁️ High: Heavy body stone, with a bit of a cerebral hit behind the eyes. It’s definitely a couch locker, and I’m laying down as I write this. This was my first purchase of skookum, and while I will say it’s impressive bud, for the price point I would not make this a regular, or even repurchase. Maybe I would try a different strain in the future, but not right away. I used their first time deal for 20 off. Overall in terms of quality: 8.1/10 Overall in terms of price: 7.2/10

Deathstar OG - Skookum (via Pot Cargo) - March 23

Another crazy fire drop from Skookum and I’m so glad to see all these old school gas strains back and treated properly. This one is the stinkiest of the bunch by far. You can tell the freshness just by its absurd reek. Tons of pine and diesel all over this smells like a gas station being refueled in the middle of a forest. Flavour-wise I would say this leans way more towards diesel than pine. Very pleasant and surprisingly smooth given its high potency. Worth to mention that this lady is a classic slow creeper. Love how it works on the body and gives you that meltdown sensation. Finally shout out to Pot Cargo once again. They didn’t break their 13 minutes record but still amazing service. As always, no incentives. I know Pot Cargo would reward reviews but I don’t care. I like to support amazing weed and that’s it.

West Coast Pink - Skookum - February 23

Normally I would probably not bother reviewing this one but quite a few people asked me how does it compare to the death bubba so here we go. Not the best looking buds but I think that’s rarely the case with this type a strain so no complaints here. Texture and stickiness are perfect and so is the crazy strong smell. Flavour and potency are up there and this lady burns slow, greasy and clean. Overall I think this is a more enjoyable smoke than the death bubba. I’m sure a lot of people will disagree but the fact that this didn’t completely obliterate me made the general experience more pleasant. Flavour is also more to my personal taste. With that said, if you’re looking to get completely ripped and sleep like a baby than death bubba is the way. I personally love them both and will definitely grab more next time. No incentives at all.

Probably the stickiest and stinkiest weed I’ve had this year. Love it in every single sense. Very heavy specially the body high which is near debilitating. Easy 10/10 if it wasn’t so expensive so judge for yourself. Ordered directly, no incentives.

Looks 8.6 Smell 8.9 Freshness 8.8 Smoke 8.1 Flavour 8.9 Overall experience 8.4 Opening this I was blown away by the smell. First thought is if you had Macflurry from blkmkt then start there with smell and go from there. If not it’s got a heavy terpinolene smell at first citrus tang cream sour cherry lime it’s just so complex of a smell of sweet fruit and citrus fruit with some sour notes. Overall definitely for the flavour chaser out there like me. Smoke was smooth on this but I did find it to need way more of a cure on it, was burping her a fair amount and it took awhile to get her proper. Ash was light grey. High leaning more hybrid instead of sativa. Fantastic for a hike or outside time. Overall super fun cultivar. If I remember correctly it’s early lemon berry x end game punch line cross makes for a super fun unique flower. Happy tokes ?

Look 8.0/10 Smell 8.5 Freshness 8.5 Smoke 8.9 Flavour 8.8 Overall experience 8.8 Opening the tin on this I was greeted with a earthy gassy smell with a touch of dank but overall a strong earthy fule smell. Smoke is super smooth with a lovely white ash and a perfect flavour transfer of the smell. High on this is truly wonderful I find it’s not super strong but not light either but it has the most amazing chill relaxing vibe that as soon as you smoke you feel it in your whole body and head, really great pain management if needed too. Overall this has been one of the better skookum I’ve had, fantastic smoke, great cure, good flavour and it didn’t feel like I had to do anything to get her in better shape or like some skookum tins it’s a little almost wet feeling. Looks 8.2/10 Smell 8.8 Freshness 8.2 Smoke 8.0 Flavour 8.7 Overall experience 8.6 Cracking the tin on this I got a lovely pungent gassy smell that I really enjoy. I found her to have a nice flavour transfer. Ash was fairly dark on her and a bit harsh on the throat at first I’ve been burping her pretty often as it felt like a lot of moisture in there still. After about a week she’s much better now much smoother but not perfect. Looks my 14g was made up of smaller nugs unlike most other from skookum has been much bigger buds. Maybe I jugot unlucky High was a strong hybrid high but definitely indica leaning as I have been using a bit for bed. But overall I find being at home a little better for her then out in about. Happy tokes ?
