Purple Bubba - The Smoking Monkeys // Nov 2020
/u/Electronifyy
With no sugar leaves in sight, these tightly manicured buds carry a visually appealing structure with a rock solid density to pair. Despite being harvested on the later side with an abundance of amber trichs collecting near the underskirt, this batch carried an appropriate cure with terpenes prominent enough for it to fit snuggly into the appropriate (AAA) category. Present but not overpowering scent of that signature Bubba aroma, combining notes of fresh ground coffee and just the right amount of funk that will bring familiarity to anyone who's had a chance to indulge in these popular genetics before. Sedative effects with surely replace any sleep aids as this was the perfect cultivar to end a long day, almost forcibly closing your eyes after the initial rush has run its course.Nov 23, 2020

OG Kush - The Smoking Monkeys // November 2020

The sugar leaves left behind by a noticeably lackadaisical trim job weren't enough to hide the trichome adorned flower that lay beneath, as these buds boasted vibrant hues of lime and forest green just practically glistening under light - with the only colour seperation being the healthy orange mocha pistils doing their absolute best to press through the dense bud structure. Hallmark Kush notes of pinene and straight petrol roll out initially to make way for more subtle and unpronounced notes of sugar, spice, coffee and wet wood. This pleasant concoction carried with it more memorable levels of medication with a sedation that doesn't put you under with too much pressure initially. Users have the time to ride out a euphoric wave of indica leaning effects that make any evening an adventure. Accurately priced and moderately rated (AAA), this one falls under the 'ol' reliable' category - because she looks rough around the edges, but will get the job done every single time. http://imgur.com/a/oK0L1KRNov 18, 2020
TheSmokingMonkeys Review - November 2020

MoM/Retailer Name TheSmokingMonkeys Shipping/Packaging This package was shipped from BC and arrived in 3 Days. The package arrived in a bubble mailer with all the contents inside a brown rectangular box. Everything within the box was vacuum sealed with no smell omitting from the package. The different strains were in black Mylar bags wth printed labels identifying each strain. Strains Purple Diesel This is a strain I haven’t had the pleasure of trying very many times. The colours are really nice on these nugs ranging from light green to dark purples. They had a compact bud structure with orange pistils and a coating of trichomes covering these nugs. The trim was unfortunately rough with quite a few tiny leaves still present. The aroma from these buds were a subtle sweet almost berry smell with hints of diesel and some earthiness. I would say the aroma translated quite well into the taste with the diesel flavour coming through a little stronger but it still maintained that sweetness with a bit of the earthiness in the aftertaste. The high started out pretty uplifting and euphoric for me that later turned more into a nice relaxing stone but didn’t leave me tired or feeling bogged down at all. I felt this is a great strain for anytime of the day. Gods Green Crack The colours on this batch of ggc had a forest green appearance with purples tones and darker orange pistils. These buds were unfortunately overly dry with a dense structure. These nugs had a some sugar leaves still present with a coating of milky trichomes. The aromas from this strain were unfortunately muted due to the dryness when it arrived. I was getting a earthy, herbal and peppery scent with a very slight hint of pine. The aromas translated well into the taste with the earthy and herbal flavours coming through the most. This burned with a peppery ash The high on this batch of ggc seemed to be a great hybrid for me with a nice cerebral head high that soon led into a nice and chill body stone that I found was awesome for hanging around and relaxing. Tyson These nugs had a dark Forest green appearance with dark orange almost amber pistils and a fair coating of trichomes. The density of these nugs were almost rock hard with only a few sugar leaves left on them. The cure seemed pretty spot on with this. The aroma I got from this bud was a pungent diesel and gassy smell with some earthiness I would say. The taste translated quite well with that kushy, diesel and earthiness and a bit a spice that went together for a nice flavour. This stuff burned with a grey ash. This high started out pretty chill leaving me happy and almost uplifted for a pure Indica that soon turned into a solid body high leaving me completely relaxed and pain free. I found this is a great strain if you’re planning on just chilling. Hashberry This is a strain I haven’t had the pleasure of trying before. The nugs I received had a solid green appearance with red pistils and a fairly dense bud structure. The trim was a tad sloppy with excess sugar leaves on some of the buds. These nugs had a coating of milky trichomes. From this strain I was getting a sweet berry aroma with some slight muskiness, earthy and herbal notes. I found the taste of this strain was almost the same as the smell with a added slight peppery aftertaste. This high from this started out with a uplifting sense of happiness that soon turned into a nice relaxing and mellow body stone. I found this strain was awesome because it’s not an overly sedating indica. King Louis XIII This is a strain I’ve only had a few times before. The colours were a mix of light green and dark purple tones. These nugs had dark orange hairs with a coating of milky trichomes. The machine trim these buds went through unfortunately left them a bit mangled. The aromas from this were a mix of earthy, pine, and some slight diesel. The taste from this strain matched the aroma fairly well with an added peppery taste. I found this strain had a relaxing high that wasn’t very strong for an indica dominant hybrid. I thought this was a great strain for trying to mellow down without any of the sedating effects of a indica. Durban Poison Shatter Not much aroma coming from this shatter. When smoked I was getting a citrusy taste with some added earthy and slight pine flavours. This stuff smoked clean and smooth. The high was energetic and I would say mood enhancing. It was definitely a clear headed focused high that can be enjoyed throughout the day. These samples were provided for honest and unbiased reviews.Nov 16, 2020

MOM NAME: **TheSmokingMonkeys** Communication and customer service: 10/10 - fast processing, order confirmation with tracking was received pretty much right away. Package was shipped quickly and discretely. Overall quality: Good for the price. Not the absolute craziest quads you will ever find, but solid option for the price range. Price: Zips range from 144 to 220 - pretty standard. No extreme budget options but nothing too crazy expensive either. Middle of the road. Website look and feel: Looks slick. Nice branding, site is easy to navigate and use. Incentivized?: **Yes**, this was a sample order for review. Tried three strains plus shatter: **Strain 1: King Louis XIII AAAA ** Nose: Citrusy, floral, rich and sweet Bag appeal: Nothing too special, medium frosted, above average but not perfect trim Texture: Nice and dense, squishy but not wet. Not particularly sticky. Taste: Sweet sweet pineapple candy with the tiniest hint of pine Burn: Grey-Black ash, light oil ring Overall: Not quite a true quad in my opinion, more like a good AAA+ **Strain 2: Tyson AAAA** Nose: Sweet, cookies-ish nose with a tiny hint of citrus. Bag appeal: Looks fantastic. Frosty with a good amount of red hairs. Texture: Very dense, not too sticky. Taste: Sweet and dessert-y, little bit harsh towards the end of a joint. Burn: Grey-Black ash, not much of an oil ring. Overall: Solid choice, somewhere between AAA+ and AAAA **Strain 3: Hashberry AA+** photo_2020-11-04 08.58.07.jpeg (108.61 KiB) Not viewed yet Bag appeal: Looks great for AA. Nice close trim. Not too crazy frosted but looks solid. Texture: Very dense, not real sticky. A bit spongy Nose: Heavy citrus Taste: Lemony, a bit harsh. Almost artificial lemon flavour. Planty, maybe under cured. Burn: Grey-white ash and nice big oil ring Overall: Fantastic for the price. **Shatter: Exclusive Extracts** What can I say... it's shatter. I usually smoke live resin or rosin, so might be the wrong guy to review this product, but it tastes fine for shatter - clean, doesn't taste solvent-y. Nothing special terp-wise. Decent effect.Nov 04, 2020

OG Kush * The Smoking Monkeys * October
/u/bos420
Strain - OG Kush Mom - The Smoking Monkeys Smell - fairly pleasant smelling hitting your nostrils immediatly once the mylar is torn open. Various smells of a herbal lemon with hints of pepper mixed in Smoke - quite the smooth smoking strain, salt and pepper ash, medium to lighter grey tagged up with a resin ring. Burns very consistent throughout with the inhale and exhale being very similar with the flavoring being an earthy citrus and then pepper coming more so on the exhale High - this is a good daytime burn, bringing little to no burnout. A sativa dominant hybrid makes this strain both uplifting and the relaxation of indica make it nicely balanced. Even as a wake and bake it seems to kick the day off quite nicely Quality: 8.5/10 Consisting of some fairly dense smaller sized nugs, with a medium to light green coloring, copper colored pistils, and a sheet of trichomes draped over the buds. Slightly leafy, would be a higher rating if it was trimmed up but a good overall strain and I wouldn't hesitate gripping more in the futureNov 01, 2020

MOM NAME: The Smoking Monkeys COMMUNICATION/SERVICE: they were quick on the response, and even followed up with me after my package had arrived which wasn't necessary but definitely appreciated. SHIPPING/PACKAGING: Mylar bags inside of a vac seal, inside of a box which was all in a bubble wrapped packate. Small, discreet, and no scent at all PRODUDCT(S) TO REVIEW: Strain - Bubba Kush Smell - it doesn't have the most powerful smell to it initially but it becomes alot more pronounced once busted up. It reeks of earthy pepper with a sweet gas and herbal nose on it Smoke - the inhale brought an earthy skunky taste while exhaling was more of a spicy gassy flavor. Medium grey salt & pepper ash and an oil ring right off the starting line. Overall quite smooth with very little to no harshness High - subtle creeper stone, just when you thought it hadn't quite hit you.. there it is. It's a very relaxing indica dominant high that does the trick at any time of the day, even wake and bake as long as you dont have plans very first thing Quality: Consisted of some really big dense tight buds that had an excellent trim job. The rock hard nugs had a decent medium to darker green shading with plenty of copper colored pistils peppered all over, and a light trichome layer over top. A decent smoke at a very reasonable price Strain - Purple Bubba (Bubba Kush x Purple Kush) Smell - the smell on this strain was quite pleasant overall with the skunkiness of bubba mixed with a good over powering grape smell that took over the nose the more you took smells out of the mylar Smoke - puffing this stuff was slightly rough with a medium grey ash it also sported a resin ring from the first few puffs. Flavor wise it was an earthy grape with spiciness while taking the inhale with it being slightly harsh, musky and thick smoke exhale High - more for later daytime or evening use. Overall it's quite the heavy hitting high especially bring of pure indica descent. The harshness leaves it not to be an earlier smoke because it does leave your throat feeling slightly rough Quality: Dense buds of decent sizing, squishy and fresh to the squeeze. Darker green coloring on the buds with lots of copper pistils covering an good portion of the nugs, and a spread layer of trichomes. This stuff will get you decently toasted for a nice value Strain - Death Bubba (Death Star x Bubba Kush) Smell - tearing into this mylar bag I instantly got a musky kush smell with subtle pine and lemon hints also mixing in each time you stick your nose in Smoke - it was a little harsh while exhaling but the taste was more of a sweet earthy kush flavoring with citrus on both inhale and and exhale being more on the spicey side. Salt and pepper ash of a medium grey, and no doubt a greasy oil ring jumping the gate High - fairly heavy bake with its indica dominance, leaving this to be more of an evening blaze, or daytime with little to nothing mapped out. Quite relaxing, and for sure a motivation killer Quality: Buds were medium in size and quite dense with a slight squeeze to them. Medium green colored buds, orangish brown pistils, and a little layering of triches to top the nugs off. Gets you fairly baked for not a bad tag Strain - OG Kush Smell - fairly pleasant smelling hitting your nostrils immediatly once the mylar is torn open. Various smells of a herbal lemon with hints of pepper mixed in Smoke - quite the smooth smoking strain, salt and pepper ash, medium to lighter grey tagged up with a resin ring.
