Picked up an ounce of the much sought after red Congo during the 5 minute 4/20 sale.

Let's do a live review as I smoke this joint...

Right of the bat, the lemon scent that came out of the ba...g, translates directly into the taste of the J.

Upon taking small pulls, it's a very sweet citrusy flavor, but when I take a nice big, long pull, it gets to be really spicy, and just hits right behind my eyes.

Okay guys, I'm like a 1/4 into the joint, and as I re-lit it, the citrus taste has completely disappeared, and I'm left with a very distinct root beer/cola flavor.

This is some kind of sorcery.

I almost didn't grab this, and ended up going with an ounce after reading the reviews on here.

If you have never tried DMC, you absolutely HAVE to. The flavor profile is so unique on this strain, it's like nothing I've ever smoked before. A gassy, doughy, melange of flavors th...at leave you wanting more.

Some medium and small sized buds throughout the ounce. A little leafy, but still beautiful to look at.

A consistently potent hybrid, that I will definitely be keeping in my rotation for a verylong time, especially when I end up paying $150 an ounce after my discount.

This is my favorite offering from HGA.

Big mountainous buds with an impressive trim, just caked in trichomes. Rolls beautifully as a result and burns to a light grey/white ash.

Smell: 3/5

Right out the bag, I was getting a strong scent of hay, which was disappointing. Being that this w...as the cookies grower, I thought this would turn out to be more pungent like our good friend the Death Mint Cookies, but again, the smell was very underwhelming.

Taste: 4.25/5

Floral and gassy with a bit of spice on the inhale. Full flavoured and robust and delicious in a vape and joint alike.

High: 4.6/5

Heavy, potent and definitely commands respect. Most suitable for evening time.

Overall: 4.4/5 This is a crusher, if you like a heavy and potent indica.

Guys this has to be one of my favorite sativa strains of all time.

Appearance is always consistent, small to medium sized, dense buds, just bursting with trichomes and red hairs.

I have some Creek Congo, from simply bare, and it just looks like dog poop compared to this. I have... yet to sample an offering of the Congolese strain that tops HGA's.

This strain will take you straight to flavor country with it's smooth root beer-like flavor.

The high hits behind the eyes, but is still fully functional. A perfect pairing with your morning coffee.

Is this the best batch of 2020?

Grabbed myself an O.

Just opening the bag I knew this batch was next level compared to the last.

The nugs are covered in shining white trichomes, which provides a beautiful contrast to the deep dark green nugs.

The smell wa...s incredibly rank, best described as an explosion of gas and cookies.

The smell translates directly to the taste, and upon smoking this in a J, I'm just delighted by the signature taste of DMC.

Burns to a salt and pepper ash, with a nice oil ring.

Out of all the death Mint varieties HGA has to offer, this one has got to be my absolute favorite.

10/10 boys. Best batch confirmed.

Ordered the 12 g sample pack, and finally got to try the last few strains on the menu I haven't tried. Picked up Sour Tahoe, Forum Cut Cookies, and this Sophie's Breath.

Got 4 medium sized nugs, straight up purple, and covered in white trichomes.

A faint scent of berrie...s out of the bag, although the smell seems a little muted to me.

In a joint, the taste of tart berries alongside a very unique taste I can quite put my finger on. I'm halfway through the joint now, and it's more potent than I first thought.

An incredible feeling behind in my eyes and all around my head, which slowly has crept throughout my whole body. Very relaxing.

Excellent night time strain, perfect for bed time.

Appearance: 4.5/5 Sparkling mountainous jewels with a very prominent coating of frost. Very resinous , meticulous trim. Density is on point, and there are some purple hues on some of the larger colas. Burns nicely to a fine light grey ash.

Smell: 4.25/5 Gassy and cookie perfume with a musky... pungency.

Taste: 4.25/5 Fuel and cookie

High: 4.75/5 . The effects are long lasting and blend into a warm body stone.

Overall: 4.5/5 A truly impressive example of this strain. Searing potency and wonderful bag appeal. Didn’t find it as tasty as DMS or DMC, but it was more potent than both.

Appearance: 4/5 A very yellow/orange aesthetic is displayed, with long and lanky buds that are densely formed and showcasing an impressive trichome coverage. Trim and cure are on point. Burns nicely in a joint to a light grey ash.

Smell: 4.25/5 Zesty and hazey

Taste: 4.25/5 Fully p...ronounced flavour of haze.

High: 4.25/5 Soaring and cerebral effects, best suited for daytime use and tackling monotony. Excellent focus and mental acuity as well as a happy uplift. Medium burnout and can be scattered at higher doses. Great for depression and fatigue.

Overall: 4/5 A great representation of this strain and is worth pursuing if you like hazey and flavourful daytime strainsSee More
