I ordered a quarter oz of this Sunset Mandarin Cookies along with my usual oz of DCM.

Let me tell you that I was not disappointed.

Upon opening the bag, I was hit with an intense sour / citrus smell. It’s hard to describe, a little bit reminiscent of red congo but much more... sour and less sweet.

The quarter came in as 3 large nugs. The nugs have a deep purple color and are absolutely caked in trichomes.

I use sativa dominant hybrids mostly during the day, so I have only used it in a vaporizer.

The taste in the vaporizer is extremely fruity and sour. I swear I can almost taste the sour taste on my tongue.

The potency is on point. I would say the effects are as energetic as red congo, but with a little bit more euphoria.

All in all, this strain from HGA was a very nice surprise and I would definitely order again, even at full price. I actually like this as much if not better than their legendary red congo.

This strain was bought during the Black Friday Pre-sale along with an ounce of Deat Chocolate Mousse. My order came out to 259$ shipped after coupons for two ounces. Needless to say the DCM was a quad.

The LA Cookies on the other hand, was rated as AAAA-, which I think is a fair assesmen...t.

It is really nicely trimmed and has a nice light green color. The cure on it was really nice, although it came in a little bit dry to my taste.

The smell is a nice sweet pastry with an undertone of citrus/fruit. It’s not overpowering, but very enticing.

The taste could be a little bit heavier, but it is reminiscent of the smell and very pleasant.

In a joint, the ash was light grey, almost white with a decent oil ring. The smoke is smooth and clean.

In a vaporizer, it produced an average amount of vapor.

The potency is average as well. However, keep in mind that my tolerance is quite high, so it might be a different story for a different user.

The high is quite nice and balanced, with a nice wave of euphoria. A great daytime strain for sure.

All in all I would give it an 8/10 for quality and a 9.5/10 for value.
