TopShelf BC order from 420 21’ Ice Cream on left, Strawberry right. ICC_SC.png (1.66 MiB) Viewed 3 times Strawberry Cough (AAA+/AAAA- Sativa) strawberry_cough.png (903.58 KiB) Viewed 3 times Strawberry cough has... amazing bag appeal with the smell and look of these huge sized buds, with minimal leafs and very light in weight. Its a heavy hitter like the name suggests and only only need a small amount in the bong before I cough. One thing that bugged me was when I smoked it in a paper joint, its hard to pack really tight and if you dont then it will barely smoke because of how lightweight the bud is. I found a hemp wrap is better for smoking this strain, or mixing it with something like ice cream cake to create a hybrid that burns well. The taste is light and easy going, good for a day time buzz.
Ice Cream Cake (AAA Indica) ice_cream_cake.png (1.36 MiB) Viewed 3 times Bag appeal is really nice with a good smell (a bit cheesy smelling which I’m not a fan of) lots of white trichomes covering the bright greens and hints of deep purple throughout the strain. Upon smoking, this is a HEAVY hitting kush with a medium taste that will surely leave you inda-couch. The effects go straight to the head at first then eases into the body, feeling relaxed the whole way through.
Lemon Sour Diesel : Overall rating 5/5 stars. LEMONSD.png (334.78 KiB) Viewed 3 times BDIAMOND.png (403.25 KiB) Viewed 3 times Very potent, does not feel like an AA+ and more like a AAA! A few seeds and stems in the... batch, but otherwise it is coated in a beautiful white layer and soft to the touch. Dense weed, not too dry which is unlike some other Sativa’s. Bag appeal is amazing with a citrus smell and tangy taste coming from the bright green and orange tendrils. In comparison to TopShelf’s Hawaiian Punch, this strain is less tasty with more of an earthy palette. The Sativa hit is very energizing then slowly turns cerebral with a calming effect, overall the high is strong but not overpowering. Lemon sour diesel is perfect for working a dayshift or for a bike ride under the sun!
Black Diamond : Overall rating 4.5/5 stars. Bag appeal is really nice with a good smell (a bit cheesy smelling which I’m not a fan of) lots of white trichomes covering the deep purple and greens throughout the strain. Upon smoking, this is a HEAVY hitting kush with a minimal taste that will surely leave you inda-couch. I personally like the minimal taste because you can still taste a bit of berry with earthy undertones. I love to roll this one up with a flavoured blueberry hemp wrap, it burns slow which I found sometimes challenging to clear a packed bowl of this! The effects go straight to the head at first then eases into the body, feeling relaxed the whole way through. In the past, I found that TopShelf’s ’Kush Berry’ strain is super, which is luckily very similar to their Black Diamond but with a slightly better taste.
El Muerte : Overall rating 4.5/5 stars. Small to medium-sized nugs. Green and white hues with hints of purple and orange glittered in. Smoked inside a hemp wrap, but mainly in bowls and it’s great for any use. The flower is coated in a nice white trichomey layer, that smells very earthy an...d tangy. This is a high potency Indica dominate hybrid and it definitely lives up to that. It burns very smooth and was a pleasant euphoric high. I was left blissful and a bit lazy. Definitely slowed me down a bit but still left me focused enough to perform my tasks. Tastes gassy with hints of herbal and coffee.
Kush Berry : Overall rating 5/5 stars. Bag appeal really strong with this hard-hitting strain, small-to-popcorn nugs the size of a blueberry and the smell is also fairly sweet. The density of the frosty buds is relatively high and the colour has lots of purple and bright green which is pleasant to look at. It grinds great with minimal stems and no seeds. My recommendation is to try this rolled up in a honeyberry backwoods or a hemp strain alternative like Juicy Jays, it really brings out the flavour of the strain. Upon smoking in a joint it tasted like a sweet candy with a slight earthiness. Burned acceptably well being slow, even and continuous the whole through the joint. The smoke was superbly smooth and rich leaving a lingering candy-like aftertaste. Comparing to a strain like the Pre 98 Bubba (similar grade strain) this kush berry tastes MUCH BETTER and I would buy this again compared to a straight gas strain. Kush berry leaves little to NOT love!
