King Jagger (Skookum) - Kootenay Botanicals - March Start

Did a wake and bake. Few drags into the joint and i was coughing my lungs out. It smells amazing. After Tropicana Cookies and strawberry jelly, i am in love with strains that smell like fruits. King jagger does have a fruity taste. Potency- 9/10 (Definitely not a wake and bake strain). Perfect for late afternoon. Quality- Extremely sticky buds. After Ultra Pink and Sherbert, i think this is my new favourite Skookum strain. ( Did not mention strawberry jelly because it’s not that potent compared to these 3)

Very large, stinky, sticky top cola. Potent but very smooth in a joint with heavy body effects. I've never had Dutch Treat so this was nice to try.

MAC1- Kootenay Botanicals- December

Lately I’ve become a coooookieeee monster, and I see no turning back. Historically GSC has always been a fav. I really dig the results of crossing it with a wide variety of other strains, and in that realm MAC1 shines. I found the nose of this batch fronted one of the most cookie smelling examples I’ve had. Def diesel, a sweetness, and a hint of citrus. I ordered a half to begin with and it was all beautiful medium sized buds. Dense and so frosted the colours, a kaleidoscope of greens with deep purple highlights, and wrought with flaming pistil, were obscured. I cashed in some points and ordered an O because I liked it so much. The O had more smalls than I would have liked, but they still smoked like champs, so moving on. Effects are delightful in being a quintessential hybrid. A nice euphoric hit out of the gate and then calming, relaxing, and happy. Not as big of a couch lock as The Blue Magoo Cookies, previously reviewed. A little pricey at regular but KB runs a weekly sale, and they cycle product every week so it I grabbed the O at 20% off. One can only hope that boxing day sales will yield some steals for Scoundrel. Happy Holidaze, Stay Toasty!!

Blue Magoo Cookies- Kootenay Botanicals- November (Black Friday sale)

Big buds that have a seasonal appearance: I have a jar of mini Christmas trees. A dynamite hybrid, hitting all the favs you look for. Both making one happy and creative mentally while relaxing a stressed and weary body. There’s a fine line in consumption between nicely wrecked while tuned into the idiot box, and passed out drooling on the couch. Beware. Fantastic cookies nose with overt undertones of berry, and subtle hints of lavender and a sweet floralness. (I love making up words). Verbose flavor to match the nose. A very smooth smoke too. Buds are dense, perfectly trimmed, and absolutely caked. The 25% Black Friday bumped this beauty way up the value scale. Ordered Thursday and arrived Sunday: I do like pleasant surprises and it seems last Sunday was the first day of Canada Posts holiday push.

Grand Master Kush (smalls)- Kootenay Botanicals- November 2020

Value value value: grabbed an O for $160, off their “flower sale” (halfs go for $85). I’ve ordered the flower sale three or four times and have yet to be disappointed. Billed as “smalls”, and that was fact. Mostly popcorn, the majority dense little nugs and the balance memory foam sponge consistency. The trim was understandably a little scraggily in some parts. Predominately dark green mass blinged with some fire orange hairs. Niiicely caked, I must say. BUT you don’t smoke the bag, and the tell is in the consumption, and this flower smoked beautifully. A solid resign ring and a smooth burn. This was really a very classic kush nose and flavor. I got musky, skunky, earthy, and hints of cedar in the jar , and then on the bust a nice floral release. Effects were nicely balanced with a shot of cerebral euphoria upfront followed by a calming, but not debilitating, chill. I like it.

I just wanted to put this out here. To aware and share. I just wanted to give my sativa an edge in the face. Really this stuff hits me like back then...in the face. I just crumbled finely this stuff and my hole body is melting a bit. (Smoked .3 H .3 strawberry) Got it on sale to 10/g shipped safely again. Thanks KB people’s!
8/10 is my over all here. I spent 139.13 and I guess it’s and honest deal. (This stuff is “imported”deal with it)... peace reddit.

Tuna Kush- Kootenay Botanicals- August

Lately, in my pursuit for value, I’ve taken to smalls and find, when ordered from a reputable mom, smalls really bridge my conflicting desires for both value and top drawer product. I ordered an O of smalls for $150, taxes added in cart, and a reasonable $10 for shipping. This is my second smalls order from KB and I foresee continuing down this path.
Despite the size the nugs were dense, well trimmed, and covered in trichomes. To be frank I do miss the bag appeal of nice big colas but one with conflicting desires must give somewhere.
Nose was pungent with a hint of fuel in the background. Very Kush, but I didn’t really get the traditional fishy smell associated with the Tuna.
Taste was pleasant. Smoke is a little harsh on the throat.
Effects were real nice: overtly euphoric, even a tad silly, and then couch lock.
In general, I was pleased with the product, and their CS team are quick to reply to inquiries.

Amnesia Haze- Kootenay Botanicals- Aug 2020

Mostly medium buds with a few smalls in an O. Dense, well formed, and a great trim. A plethora of dark orange hairs, and really covered in trichomes impress visually. Very nice bag appeal.
A pleasant and loud nose, with a nice flavour, and a smooth burn. Definitely had that classic sativa taste, in fact, it tasted a lot like SSH plus something I couldn’t quite place. The nose is sweet and cedarish.
No stone and just a bit of a buzz, mostly around the eyes, but very notably energizing and uplifting. Overall, a very nice representation of get shit done sativa: perfect for my two week summer staycation. Really promotes the capacity to focus. A great day starter, and booster throughout the day.
A bit pricey but, IMO, worth it. If you’re into sativas you’ll appreciate this one.
