Jet Fuel Gelato - KC - April 2020

/u/florei0916

Close up of the Jet Fuel from variety post I put up last week. Had to take one before breaking this beauty up Nice lemony nose, caked nugs when cracking them the doughy scent comes out. Haven’t smoked it yet but KC always usually hits from their Platinum selection Q: 9.5 / V: 9.5

Sunday Driver (Different looking cut, see my previous post for comparison) Kootenay Craft - April 2020

/u/thechronickid_00

So this is the other can of Sunday Driver and as you can see the bag appeal difference is night and day. Just thought I'd show them both but they do smoke nearly identical with the same profile.

Sunday Driver - Kootenay Craft - April 2020

/u/thechronickid_00

Beautiful bag appeal on this Sunday Driver. I should note that I ordered two 7 gram containers of this strain and one came looking like this, which is also how it looks on site, and the other which I will be posting shortly looked completely different! They were quite similar in aroma and taste but very different physically so I do think there are 2 batches of this flower. They are both indeed however sticky with a decent moisture level, ranging from mediums to smalls. This one just looks A LOT prettier. A cross of Grape Pie and Fruity Pebbles OG that make for some lovely smelling buds. Strong and creamy notes of sweet grapes with a doughy, baked goods type of aroma. Actually smells like a type of grape pastry or tart. The taste isn't as pronounced unfortunately but definitely still there with some influence of the OG coming out as the smoke is more nutty and earthy with hints of grapes. Burned a bit dark and could have been smoother as well. Now I know why they call this strain Sunday Driver as it literally puts one into a heavily relaxing and calming slumber as everything is slowed down in a hazy and lazy fashion. Full bodied effects as well but not the sleepy type, just very euphoric and chill like a mellow Sunday afternoon.

Slurricane - Kootenay Craft - April 2020

Nice man. Some smaller buds but they make up for it by being so frosty. The purple punch seems to really come out in this Slurricane. I've never had the jager but I think it's one of their staple strains. Enjoy!

Crystal Cookies (Smalls) - Kootenay Craft - April 2020

/u/thechronickid_00

This Crystal Cookies is a cross of Platinum GSC x Animal Cookies. Listed as smalls, these dense and compact nuggets came caked and fantastically trimmed, sporting lovely bright greens with exotic purple steaks. Great pistil coverage as well, with many bright and fiery orange hairs that compliment the overall appearance. Not overly sticky but well cured for sure as the buds snap at the stem and clump together when broken up. Very complex and aromatic profile, emitting sweet and doughy hints of berry accompanied by creamy, buttery undertones. Not as pronounced on exhale but the taste is definitely there with those iconic cookie nuances. Burns a little darker than I would like and produces a thick and heavy smoke which is sometimes prevalent in Platinum crosses. The initial wave of the high brings on very spacey and zoned out heady effects. No use trying to multi-task or get any work done as it also possesses a relaxing and numbing body buzz. Perfect indica leaning high for chilling and kicking back, as it's more euphoric and upbeat than it is sedating. Definitely has a lazy crash to it as it wears off.

Wedding Crasher #2 - Kootenay Craft - April 2020

/u/thechronickid_00

I had the Wedding Crasher #5 last time which was very memorable and this #2 cut is just as good. Dense, sticky buds, with an appearance consisting of light and dark greens with vibrant purples throughout. Very caked, pun intended, with a decent trim to go along and a plethora of thick, orange hairs. A couple larger buds in my 7 gram jar with some smaller ones too. One of my favourite smokes ever as I love any cake related strains and this one hits on every cylinder. The purple punch added to the already tasty wedding cake makes for a delicious aroma and flavour. Super rich, creamy, and sweet, and almost floral like, with undertones of flowers and vanilla. Even some purple punch grape notes in there. The taste lingers heavily on the pallet after doing a toke and the smoke is very smooth with a slight throat tickle. Burns a light salt and pepper ash. A sativa dominant hybrid with a high that goes over and beyond and stands out from the average. Potent and intense effects that include racing bursts of energy that feel like a caffeine rush. Not the type of strain to smoke and sit around as it encourages being social and up and about. Long lasting as well and eventually melts off into a relaxing high, but remains euphoric and uplifting throughout.

White Lightning - Kootenay Craft - Late April

/u/TickleTrunks

As soon as I saw on the site that they had a cross of White Widow and Northern Lights, I had to jump on this faster than lightning hitting the ground. White Widow and Northern lights are two of my top 5 favourite strains, and they mostly represent high school for me. Never having a cross of these two before, I’m absolutely floored by the effects. You get a strong, strong body buzz with a very happy head high. An easy 9.5/10 for potency. The taste is very White Widow, but with a piney sweetness that most be attributed to the Northern Lights family. The vapour quality is very smooth and tasty. I will definitely, definitely order this again.
