The Sunday Driver from Kootenay Craft Cannabis definitely lives up to its namesake, with a delicious bud and awesome high. While the bud didn’t have the strongest nose, I could definitely pick up on a good earthy/berry smell. The bud appeal is really nice, with bright green and red running through out. The highlight of this strain was the high which I found to be a very smooth and equal balance of sativa and indica. I really like this strain for times of creativity! After a few sessions I was well underway to working on some new music writing. Very happy with this order!

Jet Fuel Gelato - lemony nose and sticky buds. One large bud in pic and small/med Slurricane - super cakey buds. Hard to describe the nose but I wanna say it reminds me of a creamsicle? Smells fantastic Wedding Crasher #2 - cakey medium/small size nugs with noticeable purple hues and orange hairs. Has the kushy gassy smell Purple Punch - all purple bud with orange hairs underneath . Smell is crazy and reminds me of Grape Crush Quality: 10 Value: 10 Man I’m super impressed with KC!!! $200/oz promo for Platinum collection and everything is fire. From nose to bag appeal to the clean smooth smoke, definitely worth trying

9lbs Lemon Hammer - Kootenay Craft - Late April

The 9lbs lemon hammer by Kootenay craft is like you just put a lemon in a bowl and smoked it. I used this strain over a few hour period and used it through different vaporizers and I am floored by how strong the terps are. The high is that of a really balanced hybrid, with a steady euphoric head buzz and warming/numbing body buzz. I’m happy to say that despite the 60% Indica/40% Sativa tag, it did not couch lock me and I could definitely use this as a wake and bake and be okay. Very impressed.

Oregon Golden Goat - Kootenay Craft - Late April

I’ve been eyeballing Kootenay Craft Cannabis now for a little while as I’ve been gearing up to grab more premium weed, and finally pulled the trigger. They had a deal on (don’t know if it’s still on) where you buy any four 7g strains and get 20% off, so my order came up to around $220 for an ounce. This golden goat is amazing. I love Romulan and skunky weeds, so when I vaped a few bowls of this I was really really happy with how accurate the strain fidelity is, and how potent! By the picture I posted you can tell it’s drenched in trichomes, but in person it’s even more impressive. I took just one 0.15g hit through my Enano vaporizer and it hit me hard like a hit though a live resin cart would. I’m very, very happy with this and it’s definitely more potent than similar strains that I’ve gotten through a few different MoMs lately. Next up I have to review the Sunday Driver, White Lightning and 9lbs Lemon Hammer from them.

Mendo Montage - Kootenay Craft - April 2020

Ordered a variety of strains from KC's April sale and this Mendo Montage may be one of my favourites so far. Beautiful looking buds with some very unique fox-tailing going on. A couple were so long that KC decided to package my quarter within a 14 gram container which is really thoughtful and awesome, leaving these beauties intact. Very nice colours as well, including light greens and purples, all covered in a layer of frost and sharp orange pistils. The buds snap off the stems with ease but not dry at all and slightly sticky. Came with a boveda but I've been storing without humidity packs lately. A cross of the tasty Mendocino Purps and not as known, Crystal Locomotive. The aromas off the buds are so dynamic and just as unique as the looks. Notes of sweet grapes and flowers, almost perfume like, with undertones of rich earth and herbs. Can't stop going in for a smell and trying to decipher every nuance. The flavour is also very pronounced and tasty in both bong and joint, with thick and sweet smoke that translates accurately from the smell. Smooth on the lungs and burns with a light salt and pepper ash. I've been smoking this one as my first strain of the day lately and absolutely Iove everything about the high. It's a very noticeable pick-me-up hybrid, adding an instant pep to the step in the form of a euphoric and talkative high. Very spacey and in the head as well. All while being relaxing, with a slight body stone that gets stronger with time, making for an evenly balanced, but potent smoke. I haven't smoked enough at one time to see it's sedating side come out as some descriptions say but maybe I'll get there eventually.

Silver Surfer - Kootenay Craft - mid April

Quality: 8.5/10 Value: 10/10 This is my first order with Kootenay Craft, I wanted to make use of their $50 off welcome coupon. Ended up paying just over $200 for an oz of this, so I rated the value accordingly but I don’t think I would pay the $250+ they normally charge. The nugs are very visually appealing, absolutely caked in trichomes, all small to medium sized. Light nose with notes of dough. The smoke is light but a bit harsh on your throat, and there’s no taste really. I chose this strain because of everyone commenting on how potent it is, so I may have had too high expectations. It’s potent but nothing crazy, I have better daytime options in my stash. The strain is labeled as a hybrid but I’m getting strictly sativa effects from it, it’s a nice smoke for a wake n bake. Ash is mostly white, burns fine. Overall I’d say I’m happy but I honestly wish I didn’t grab a whole oz of this, I should’ve tried a few strains.

Sundae Driver - Kootenay Craft - Apr 2020 (Preview)

Prob my 2nd fave from their April drop (next to Purple Punch), but was pleasantly surprised by this as it was marked down as smaller buds at the site (there was some popcorn in ours as well, jar shots at the site). This **Sundae Driver** has a lovely sweet berry nose over a rich baked goods musk in the jar, becomes sweeter/fruitier in aroma when ground.. 10/10 for aroma. Grapey/berry sweetness along with dank, woody *Cake* flavours to start, then eases into a more subtle fruity baked goods sweetness, finishing as creamy 'roasted' flavours.. Have only had two sessions, so far this balanced/indica-leaning hybrid doesn't seem super potent but is incredibly smooth, holding its flavour through til the end (A previous also nice batch of Sundae Driver expressed more chocolatey, 'roasted' *Cake* flavours.. this pheno was decidedly fruitier, reminds me a bit of their recent Strawberry Shortcake which was a little bit more muted in flavour) \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Full Disclosure: This is a donated product that will result in 7g of flower being gifted by 416 Strains towards our Cannabis for Good initiative. Silver Surfer - Kootenay Craft - 420

It's a great daytime high that helps with creativity without any added anxiety. It allows me to be more productive while also allowing me to sit for longer periods of time, which also makes it great for gaming and watching movies. Both times the buds arrived fresh and sticky, and were mainly medium sized and boulder shaped, and they were covered in white crystals, alluding to the name silver surfer. I show this better in the album. I plan on buying this strain every time I see it for sale, and I hope it comes back again!
