Pink Bubba - Top Shelf BC - SAMPLE - 4/20 2020

I ordered some of their Everest shatter using their 20% promo code, not knowing it was a one time use coupon so when I wanted to place another order for more shatter they offered me two 1/8ths of my choice for me being unable to use the code again. I thought this was really great of them to offer as a compromise for my own oversight. Good start with them. I chose an 1/8 of Pink Bubba and I'm REALLY glad I did. Upon opening the bag I was met with a STRONG typical Bubba fuel stench. This stuff is VERY gassy and is getting stronger by the day in the jar so far. Amazing nose! Nice and sticky too. The burn on this stuff is what surprised me most. The smell translates to the taste completely, leaving you tasting strong 'Pink' gas terps for quite a while after finishing the joint. The surprise was in the ash...it burned PURE white!! Maybe the whitest ash I've ever seen and that's saying a lot. Seems to be a perfect flush and cure on this stuff. The buzz was your typical Bubba high with strong body relaxation and eventual couchlock for me. I get knocked out by average indicas so when I get something that's even a little better than average I'm on my ass within an hour so it may not be total couchlock for some of the heavier smokers here. Still very potent and a great smoke imo. Unfortunately I've just noticed that this strain is sold out so not much sense speaking value but it would've been a great value at the sale price of around 130. At normal price I'd say this is an average value, however the burn alone puts it up a notch for me. Amazingly clean smoke! Thanks for the taste TopShelf! You guys are great to deal with and the sale you had on Everest shatter was super generous, so thanks for that as well!!

Notes: --- Strain review Strain Name: Romulan https://i.imgur.com/UhE8a17.jpg Strain Fidelity: First time I’m trying it so I can’t say much but according to this strain infos on Leafly it fits pretty much (regarding the smell and the potency). Size of buds: 7/10 - I got some medium nugs but it was mainly smalls (around less than a gram). I wished that there was more bigger buds but they advertised me for the smalls before I ordered so I can’t complain. Bag Appeal: 8/10 - As mentioned, lot of smalls but the buds themselves are really caked and nice looking. Cure & Humidity: 8/10 – Buds are well cured but they came a little dry. However, they also advertised me before that this batch was on the drier side so it wasn’t a surprise. Came with boveda packs. Smell Intensity: 8/10 – Not the most intense but a very interesting herbal and kind of fruity smell. Harshness vs Smoothness: 8/10 - Tried a joint of it and it was pretty smooth. Taste Intensity: 8/10 – Not the most intense dank taste but still nice and flavourful. Taste Complexity: 8/10 Buzz Intensity: 8/10 – I only tasted it in a small joint at the moment but this strain is potent for sure. Clearly an indica dominant buzz. Price: Listed at 79$/oz. Value: Regarding the price for that type of quality I think this is overall a really nice deal. I’m pretty satisfied with this first order and would recommend this MOM without problem. 'A' Scale Rating: Listed as a AA+. I would say that it’s a solid AA+ if not AAA.

Heavy indica that came at an awesome price of 128$ Everything you’d expect from a quad, even if some might call it a 3A. Gassy smell, dense sticky nugs with trichs all over. Burns very well and is a bit heavy on the lungs. I’m a heavy smoker and the buzz was just right when lit in the evenings. If you do smoke this all day and your tolerance ain’t high, chances are you’ll be taking a nap sometime in the afternoon. Value 10 Quality 10

Didn't have much questions personally but for future strains I may message them prior to ordering :). 10/10 Packaging - Buds are in a mylar bag, vac sealed and inside a compact box.(This is great as it protects the buds during travel!). Pretty standard for MOMs but I'm glad it's nice and professional. Greasy Pink - Top Shelf BC - April 2020

Got an oz of this greasy pink with topshelfbc's grand opening coupon which ended up being a great grab and actually regret not getting more. Dense, chunky buds sporting shades of forest greens accompanied by thin orange hairs and greasy trichomes. Mostly medium to large in size with very little popcorn, and trimmed rather nicely with minimal sugar leaf. Well cured too as the buds are sticky and resinous all throughout. Very happy with the profile as it definitely has that great pink nose and taste. Gassy and piney with sweet floral undertones followed by hints of diesel. Real pronounced, and just as pink smelling if not better than some more expensive cuts I've had in the past. Just as dank on the exhale, producing a thick and heavy smoke that delivers a punch to the chest. Can be a little overwhelming, but burns clean with a light ash and greasy oil ring. The high is nice and potent, delivering a strong stoney buzz with uplifting and euphoric effects. Quite couch locking as well but not so sedating and just more relaxing, proving to be a great option for gaming/tv or just an all day smoke.

Medium firm density but still squishy and not too dry. Inside crystals look really nice and upon breaking up the bud is sticky. Not super glue sticky like some higher end pinks but I was amazed at the price that it was still sticky! Not dry at all and smoked well (Smoked through a pipe). White ash with a little grey mixed in not ghost white but still pretty good! For the price if your not terp crazy or looking to spend a lot this is great value!

Blue Mataro - Top Shelf BC - April 2020

I ordered some Greasy Pink and also got a sample of this Blue Mataro and Pink Bubba as well. Only had this strain one other time but it's definitely how I remember it. Vibrant, light green buds that were neatly manicured and quite sticky as well, with a good amount of crystal coverage and dark orange pistils. The profile is a combination of berries and herbs with slight earthy andundertones. Very nice nose especially for those that love 'blue' strains. The taste isn't as strong but still definitely there with a pleasant earthy, berry exhale. Haven't tried it in a joint yet to get an idea of the ash colour but it was very smooth in my bong with no harshness which is a good sign. A cross of Black Domina, Mazar I Sharif, and Blue Monster. Indica leaning hybrid effects which come on in the form of a relaxing and euphoric high with some heady, cerebral qualities as well. Didn't find it to be sedating but slightly couch locking later in the high.

Island Pink - Top Shelf BC - April

Bought an ounce for ~90 bucks once the coupon code is applied, free shipping after 99 so I picked up a pack of gummies and it ended up cheaper than without. Also smoking fast, it didn’t have to travel far but still, less than 24 hours from ordering and it was at my doorstep. With that being said- wow I wish all weed this cheap was this good. About 1/4+ was nice big nugs with the rest being mediums with a few smalls. Trim was pretty good, could be a bit better but I’d much prefer this over an aggressive machine trim. Not perfect but close with only two complaints: a little too moist for my vape (takes about two pulls before I start getting smoke) and a slight fertilizer smell. It could be limonene giving off a diesel-y smell but i think it’s fertilizer, someone with a better working nose feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Apart from that the nose is decent. Floral, slightly gassy, with a bit of sweetness after being ground up. Taste is tough to put my finger on, kinda floral, kinda fishy but not in a bad way, maybe some cheese? High is excellent, strong body buzz while remaining very clear headed, and for how high a vaped bowl got me, very minimal dry eyes and mouth. After about 45 mins the euphoria wears off and the strong body buzz turns more gentle and relaxing, and you start to feel the high slowly work to your eyes and this continued for about an hour until I passed out. Impressive because my body seems to be pretty strain picky to treat my insomnia and this one seems like a winner. Overall the quality for the money was 10/10 but in general with price being no object I’d say Quality 8/10 Value 10/10
