CAMMP Review (Multiple Strains) - March 2020
MoM/Reteailer Name
CAMMP (Canadian Affordable Medical Marijuana Products)
Shipping/Packaging
Shipped from BC and made it to Ontario in three quick days. The products all arrived in a nice plastic container/tupperware and all strains were individually labelled and vacuum sealed. It was then packaged and sent in a bubble mailer. No smell whatsoever and nothing was squished.
Strains :
Gangster Kush

This Gangster Kush is grown in house by CAMMP. A cross between 5K OG and Aloha White Widow. Sticky, light green buds, with purple hues throughout, and a resinous layer of trichomes. Medium in size and clinging to each other. Just a little bit on the fresher side and a couple days in the jar did wonders already. Definitely can give the grinder a good workout.
I was able to distinguish the OG characteristics with this strain right off the bat. Aromas of pungent and dank earth, with subtle hints of gas and citrus/lemon. The flavour was similar as well. Nothing overwhelming or exotic but very smooth and clean burning. No problems staying lit either due to the stickiness and freshness.
A slight sativa leaning hybrid that takes effect almost instantly after a few tokes and goes straight to the head, more specifically behind the eyes. A type of strain I can smoke throughout the entire day like most OG's as it's offers such a calm and relaxing buzz that puts me in a mellow, uplifted mood. Can have some slight burn out effects in larger amounts but overall it remains rather functional.
Black Kush

This Black Kush, which is a phenotype of the BC Black strain, is grown by CAMMP themselves. Not as dark in appearance as the name would suggest and instead sports a forest green colour, with clusters of wild orange hairs throughout. Decent texture, being sticky but not moist, and great trichome coverage. Small to medium sized buds.
Very classic profile to this strain that many old school type kushes seem to share. A combination of sweet earth and peppery spices. I didn't seem to get any hints of berries like some descriptions mention but it was a very enjoyable and pleasant smoke. Extremely smooth on the exhale and burned with a light fluffy ash.
Indica dominant effects that come on quickly and powerfully. Starts off with a soothing and calming wave of relaxation that gives off a body buzzing sensation. Not an instant knock out but more of a creeper in terms of sedation that had me yawning a whole bunch and feeling lazy. Very nice stuff for relaxing and not doing much.
Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake, a cross of Juliet x Strawberry Diesel and another strain grown by CAMMP like the previous strains I reviewed. The buds were quite dense but not a rock solid type, and slightly sticky. A mix of various greens and some purple sugar leaves, more so on some buds than others. Covered in long hairs and a modest amount of trichomes.
The smell upon opening the jar instantly reminded me of fresh strawberries and eventually combines with a sour diesel aroma. Less terpy and defined when smoked but still a subtle taste of strawberries with an earthy, diesel finish. Really found it to be smooth and easy to smoke, burning a salt and pepper ash.
A strongly sativa influenced high that has been a great early morning/daytime smoke. Very uplifting but also a really potent head surging buzz, probably from the sour diesel. Not the best for multitasking as it can be overpowering but very good for focusing and zoning out on a single thing.
Headband

This batch of Headband is grown by CAMMP themselves and came in 3 large nugs, weighing about 2.5g each. Vibrant colours of forest/sage greens, and a heaping helping of bright orange pistils. Moderately sticky with a slightly fluffy but still dense texture and decent trichome coverage. The trim is more on the bushy side but at 100/oz you can hardly complain as it's super reasonable.
Not the most pungent of Headbands, although very complex with plenty of notes coming through the longer you smell. Sweet and earthy with subtle notes of Sour Kush and citrus/lemon. Translates fairly well when smoked, producing a thick, smooth smoke with hints of sweet skunk on the exhale. Reminds me of the strain Chemdawg in a few ways and left behind a light ash.
I believe this was the same headband cut that was included in my first CAMMP order and the effects were just as I recalled. Immediate headband characteristics, including the tightness around the head and eyes effect, staying true to it's name. A very heady driven and stoney high that isn't ideal for focusing, but more for relaxing and melting with your thoughts. Definitely indica leaning but not sedative as I was still able to stay awake and be partially active.

Overall some decent value on some of the strains if the consistency is there. I'd have to agree with another review I seen that mentioned the potency and smoothness stood out more so than the smell/flavour. These strains were all grown by CAMMP.
