Doppelganger emerges from the innovative minds at Fig Farms in California, showcasing a contemporary approach to cannabis cultivation. This hybrid strain is a product of a meticulous breeding process, beginning with Purple Fig, which itself is a remarkable cross of classic strains: Romulan and Snow Leopard (the latter being a blend of Chemdawg, Uzbekistan Hash Plant, Afgoo, and Blockhead) combined with #11 (a union of Green Crack and Haze). The lineage reflects a rich genetic tapestry. Through further refinement, Fig Farms developed Purple Fig F2 by crossing a female Purple Fig with pollen from a male counterpart. Among the resulting progeny, they discovered a standout phenotype known as the ‘Tenderloin cut,’ which unfortunately was lost in the process. However, a strikingly similar version was found and aptly named ‘Doppelganger.’ The aroma profile of this strain is both bold and intricate, featuring notes of sweet grape-infused Goo, piney Romulan, earthy hints of stale beer from Haze, alongside sour wine and a touch of tobacco, a nod to its Chem and Hash Plant heritage. With a notably high THC content, Doppelganger delivers a balanced hybrid experience, making it a popular choice among enthusiasts.
