Description

Merlot OG emerged from the creative efforts of Ocean Grown Seeds in Southern California in 2006. The breeders aimed to develop an OG Kush-inspired strain characterized by striking deep purple hues. This journey began with a cross between Larry OG and Grape Ape, laying the foundation for its unique profile. Further refinement involved combining this initial hybrid with Blackberry Rhino and SFV OG, followed by backcrossing to enhance its classic OG traits. The result is an indica-dominant strain that showcases substantial, tightly packed buds adorned with a generous layer of white trichomes, often exhibiting a rich dark purple coloration, particularly when grown in cooler environments.
