Sunset Pink from One Two Treez

Cross: Phenotype of Sunset Sherbet

70% Indica Dominant Hybrid

Visual: It was a huge bud with a beautiful structure to it! It had lots of fox tailing and lots of sparkly crystal all over and throughout. It had a look like it was going t...o be sticky. It had some bright greens and forest greens with light brown hairs all over. It was very dense.

Nose: The nose was sweet floral gas. It wasn’t super pungent, but it had a pleasant smell to it.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It ground up well and it squishes a bit when cutting it with scissors.  

Taste: I got quite a bit of the floral and lots of the sweet gas and a hint if spice.  

Burn: The burn was good. The ash was a little bit salt and peppery, but it stayed lit and gave of lots of smoke.  

Potency/Effects: It wasn’t very punchy, but it built up well to a great potency level for me. It continued to build up through the joint as well. It was very relaxing and it weighed me down in my body. I felt a bit of a creative and energy boost in my brain. My upper lip felt fuzzy and my eyes and body felt heavy. Good for evening or nighttime.

Granddaddy Purple from Monkey Budz

Cross: Big Bud x Purple Urkle

70% Indica Dominant Hybrid

Visual: They were very dense and compact looking nugs. They looked a bit handled and packaged but there was lots of crystal all over them. The colour was a medium to dark gre...en with light brown hairs that blended in. They were very dense just like they looked.

Nose: The nose was a musky sweet grape and berry. It also had a bit of a spice to it when I opened it up. It wasn’t overly pungent, but it had a decent smell to it.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was easy to cut and to grind. It was not sticky but it had a good moisture level.

Taste: I got the musky grape and some spiciness from it.   

Burn: The burn was ok. The ash was a bit dark and flaky but it didn’t go out on me.  

Potency/Effects: It wasn’t super punchy, but the effects built up quick. The buzz built up quick without a big hit from it. It was very relaxing and gave ma a but of that weighed down effect in my body. I got the effects mostly in my body with this one. I think that it would be good to mix with a Sativa for an all around effect.

Overall score – 8.5/10

Peanut Butter Breath from Monkey Budz

Cross: Do-Si-Dos x Mendo Breath F2

Cultivator: Okanagan Farms

Breeder: Thug Pug Genetics

Balanced Hybrid

Visual: They were small/medium buds with a good amount of crystal on them. They had a mix of light gr...eens and forest greens with patches of light brown hairs. The buds were very dense.

Nose: The nose was piney and earthy with a little bit of nuttiness. When I opened it up I got a lot more of the creamy nuttiness, which I find typical to a PBB.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was easy to cut and to grind and it fluffed up a bit in the grinder. It was just on the verge of becoming dry but it didn’t crumble into dust or anything.

Taste: The taste was more pungent than the nose. I hot the creamy nuttiness and some woodiness and some earthy pine.  

Burn: The burn was good. The ash was light overall with a tiny bit of salt and peppering and it didn’t want to go out.  

Potency/Effects: I didn’t have much of a punch to it but I don’t find that breath strains are usually very punchy. The effects built up decently though. I got a buzzy face and it was uplifting and energetic. I could feel it build up slowly in my body as well. It had a good all around effect and it would be good for day and evening.

Overall score – 8.8/10

Death Bubba from Monkey Budz

Cross: Bubba Kush x Death Star

70% Indica Dominant

Visual: This Death Bubba looked nice, but it didn’t have a wow factor to it. That was ok because I got the feeling that it was going to pack a punch. The colour was a medium to light g...reen with lots of light brown hairs all over. It had lots of small tight and compact crystal and it was very dense.

Nose: The nose was very pungent! I got lots of an earthy pine and skunk and a musky spice and a little bit of gas as well. When I opened it up I also got some spicey woodiness from it.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was easy to cut and to grind and it fluffed up a bit in the grinder. It did squish a bit when I was cutting it because it was very sticky and it had a great moisture level.

Taste: It had a very pungent flavour as well! It was very skunky and it had lots of that spicy woodiness. I also got that musky earthiness from it.

Burn: It burnt well. The ash was a little bit salt and peppery but it stayed lit and it gave lots of smoke.

Potency/Effects: It hit very well, and it built up fast with a very good potency level for me. I got some very heavy effects that weighed me down and took me out. It was very relaxing and made my eyes and my body and my brain heavy and slowed them down. This one would be good for nighttime.

Overall score – 9.4/10

ATF Live Resin from Monkey Budz

Visual: It had a creamy yellow/orange colour to it and the texture was very soft.

Nose: The nose was quite pungent with a sweet flowery smell with a bit of a chemical kick to it.

Smoke/Taste: It put out a l...ot of smoke and the taste was woody and skunky with that same chemical kick.

Potency/Effects: It hit me quite well! It was a bit uplifting and I got an energy boost from it along with a big buzz all over.

UK Cheese from Hillside Pharms

Cultivator: Creekside Gardens

Parentage: Skunk #1 Indica Phenotype

70% Indica / 30% Sativa

Visual: The colour was similar to a UK army green with spots of darker green and lots of orange hairs all over it. It had lots of tig...ht compact crystal and they were very dense nugs.  

Nose: The pungent nose was very sour and cheesy.  

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was very easy to grind and to cut up. It I could feel the density of it when I was cutting it up. It was a bit sticky and it had a great moisture level.

Taste: I got a lot of the cheese flavour from it! The taste was very pungent and a bit less sour than the nose.

Burn: The burn was great! It had a light ash and it gave a heavy smoke.

Potency/Effects: I got a bit of a hit in my nose from it and the potency and effects built up fast to a high potency level for me. The effects lasted for a long time. I was weighed down in my body but still able to think and function in my head. I felt relaxed and calm with heavy eyes and a buzzy head. great for evening or night time.

Overall score – 9.4/10

Glueberry OG from Hillside Pharms

Cross: Gorilla Glue x OG Kush x Blueberry

90% Indica / 10% Sativa

Visual: It was a very light green and it was lightened up even more by all the fat frosty cry...stal that covered it. It had a nice shape with some fox tailing, and it didn’t look like it was handled very much. It had little patches of light brown hairs that covered this shapely bud, and it had a fluffy look to it but it was quite dense.

Nose: The nose was a funky sour berry with a sweet chemical smell. When I opened it up it was mush more pungent and I got a lot of kush and blueberry.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was very easy to grind and to cut up. It fluffed up a bit in the grinder and it was a bit sticky and the moisture level was great.

Taste: The taste was sweet with that funky chemical and some kush and blueberry.

Burn: The burn very well! Another great smoke!

Potency/Effects: There was a good punch from this one and it had a great potency level for me. I could feel the heavy buzz in my head and body right away. It made me want to chill out and relax. I really enjoyed this one!

Rock Star (LSO) from Hillside Pharms

Cultivator: Kootenay Living Soil Collective

Cross: Rockbud x Sensi Star

90% Indica / 10% Sativa

Visual: It looked very organic to me. It had a bit of leaf and some tight compact ...crystal with bright greens and forest greens and some hues of blueish grey. There were lots of brown and yellow hairs all over and the buds had a bit of a looseness to them.

Nose: It really had that earthy organic nose with a little bit of gas and spice. It was a bit more pungent when I opened it up.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was easy to grind and I had to pick it out of the grinder a bit. It fluffed up lots in the grinder and it was easy to cut up with scissors. There was some stickiness to it and it had a great moisture level.

Taste: There was a bit of gas and spice, but it was mainly the earthy taste at first. The gas and spice did build up a bit as I got into it a bit more.

Burn: It burnt great. The ash was nice and light, and it was pretty smooth.

Potency/Effects: This one was not very punchy for a Rock Star. The effects were a bit relaxing but a bit mellow and light. I felt a calm happiness from it and it also felt very clean and like I could keep on smoking it.

Overall score – 8.7/10

LA Kush Cake (LSO) from Hillside Pharms

Cross: Kush Mints x Wedding Cake

70% Indica / 30% Sativa

Visual: It had a cake strain look to it with the dark green leaves that were coated with tight sparkly c...rystal and patches of brown and yellow hairs. The buds were very dense.

Nose: The nose was also very cakey. It had a baking sweet and spicy nose along with a bit of a creamy earthy mint. A bit more of that spiciness came out when I opened it up and also a bit of a Froot Loops smell.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It held back a bit in the grinder because of the density. It cut up easy and it wasn’t very sticky which is typical of Cake strains. The moisture level was great.

Taste: The flavour really built up with this one and lots of different flavours as well. It was sweet and spicy and nutty and woody and also had that sweet cereal taste. It was a very complicated profile!

Burn: The burn was great! It had a nice light ash, it was smooth - it was a great smoke!

Potency/Effects: This LA Kush Cake wasn’t super punchy but the effects built up fast and it had a great potency level for me. It gave me that weighed down effect with some visual distortion and I felt very relaxed in my body. I was ready to chill out and my head wasn’t turned to mush so I could still function. Another great one!
