I had to hold off on smoking this for a bit because I Had no proper rig.. tried it on the nectar collector but felt like I needed proper smoking device. All I can say is it's Potent and super smooth. The taste... is kinda almost like a mint leaf... less on the the mint and more so think of the actual mint leaf.... At least for me and my g/f.

The biggest stand out thing on this stuff is how smooth and potent it is... One little hit gets you wrecked but it's so god damn smooth your not even sure if your getting high at first. With rosin you'll normally get a hint of the plant material I find and my g/f is really picky with that taste so she normally skips out on rosins, but this one she was able to enjoy more so then any other concentrate because it didn't make her hack a lung afterwards.

Q: 8.7/10 : Not that experience with live rosin but this is extremely smooth and potent. No idea what a 10/10 live rosin would be so gotta leave some space.

V: 8/10 - It's priced at $100 a g on his website right now... I think most places charge $100 at the minimum for a gram of live rosin so this is probably standard if not slightly better than standard pricing. It's tough to say it's a great value when it's so expensive, but when you think of the time, energy, and amount of product that went into making this gram.. it's probably worth it.

Ordered this on the 50% off up to 1 ounce of any strain.. didn't realize it was multiple ounces otherwise I would've probably tried other new stuff on the website as well.

The nugs looked awesome in the bag, when cracking it open it didn't have the strongest nose to it. It sm...ells very mild and hints of wood, grass, and mild spices at first... but when you take it all in at once it's more of a very light coffee taste... very complex but very mild.

Stuff was dried and cured proper, smoked good. The taste was similar to the nose, a bit stronger on the coffee vibes and I would get the odd fruit undertone every now and then. Enjoyable smoke with good potency. Nothing crazy like the Death chocolate mousse but it was enough to get a heavy concentrate smoker feeling dazed and confused. Definitely a more indica leaning high I think. Had my forehead a little sweaty by the end of the joint.. just like I like it.

If you haven't tried HGA I highly suggest watching over the holiday times and it seems they've been throwing stuff up at deep discounts. I've seen some 40% off sales randomly pop up. Make sure to buy on sale and get a referral or do your reddit review for credit and you'll almost never feel like you got ripped off. If something was wrong, customer service will make it right.

Q: 8.6/10 - This bud was lacking a little on appeal before smoking but made up for it while consuming. Nug structure was great, just nothing about it stood out.

So I got these smalls as part of their Halloween sale.. 30% off already marked down stuff is a steal so I got 1 NMC, 1 earthbind cookies, 1 peanut butter breath. This was definitely the hardest hitting and the highest priced. But all 3 together came to $350 with only $7 in credit refunded.

First off you notice right away that it's caked when it comes out of the bag. Frosty trichs coat every bit of the bud. The nose is kind of a little sweeter with some dank spicy undertones.. but kinda light compared to a lot of HGA Cookie strains. Upon smoking though the flavor is really strong. You get the spicy dankness, but this fruity undertone arises out of no where and it's a very creamy fully smoke. Definitely one of my favorite cookie strains at HGA and with the price on these 3 ounces of smalls it was a steal!

Q: 9.5/10 - perfect sized buds for smalls, caked and really potent stuff

V: 9.4/10 - This stuff was more expensive than my other smalls I got.. pbb prob worked out to 100, EBC $110 and this $140.. but it was still worth it!

Ordered this shortly after it was posted for 25% off. I think it’s my favorite strain that HGA has to offer. Pulled the trigger earlier than I would’ve liked to on the order but it only showed 6 in stock.. next day shot up to 10+.. I feel like they baited me into buying out of fear that none wo...uld be left! Whatever.. I can’t complain this stuff is amazing.

Upon opening up the bag your hit with peppery, spicy, dankness with light undertones of musky earth that will fill your entire home... well at least your condo or apartment. And it’s not gonna stop smelling for a couple hours either.. even if you put it in a jar right away. The next thing I immediately noticed was the buds... basically golfball sized nugs, not as circular but roughly the same in size, fairly dense and sticky upon pressing. I say fairly dense because they are sponge like, maybe doesn’t bounce back as hard because of how sticky it is. Reminded me a lot of the Mike Tyson from Gasleak at first glance, but the smell/taste/and potency is definitely on a next level compared to the Tyson.

Taste and smoke is delicious and wonderful as always.. you can really taste the peppery / spicy smell that you get from it; and it’s heavy and dank. Smooth on the inhale and a lung pull on the exhale just the way I like it. The high is definitely heavy leaning on the indica side and packs quite a punch that will definitely last an hour or two depending upon tolerance.. maybe longer... It’s been many moons since I was a rookie.

Only complaint might be that they drop most things to $196 on sale as their highest price, this was $210 an ounce. I mean I don’t really blame them.. it is really that good and to be fair I’m pretty sure someone bought up the last LB Or two last time this stuff was posted at $196... it went from 10+ in stock to out of stock in a couple hrs.

Highly recommend grabbing this one if you’ve got some cash to spare.. treat yourself! First thing your gonna notice when opening a bag of this is the smell.. It’s HEAVY... you’ve got to take a couple smells to get past the first wave of dank weed mixed with spices, mint, skunky earth.. it stanks. Then your gonna look at the buds and go wtf? This stuff looks extremely fluffy and s...craggly almost.. twiggy and a bit shaky.. and then you’ll smoke it and I think you’ll be satisfied with the complex flavors, and heavy hitting of this strain. The potency comes on quick and hits hard, definitely more indica leaning. Pressed an eighth of the ounce into rosin on a 4 tonne press to a 25% return roughly. Batched seemed pretty fresh.. which I prefer. The smell translated perfectly into the smoke.. just some really dank, enjoyable stuff to smoke. My friends always want me to roll up when I’m holding any death mint strain!


Q: 8.5/10 - I’m not a grower so I don’t know if this could be grown any better, but the bag appeal of this stuff is rough.. and all the twigs / leaf make for more work when busting (hippy picking if you like me)

Appearance: First off you notice how fuzzy and frosted the nugs are right away. These are exactly what one should expect for a bag labeled smalls, very happy with the size of everything. very little popcorn and shake.


Smell/Flavor: The scent is kinda a citrus, maybe more lime leaning... with what’s either a cheese or meat smell mixed in with it? maybe some spicy/peppery undertones as well; maybe fridge meant everything in the fridge...? Definitely complex, but not super heavy. Smell cleaned out of my apartment fairly quickly after putting away. The scent translates pretty much identically over to the flavor, just not quite as strong.


Smoke: Burned nice and evenly, I Hippy pick every joint I roll though. Nice clean ash. The inhale on it was very smooth with a mild lung pull on the exhale.


Potency: By the end of my smoke I noticed my forehead getting warm, tell tale sign it was working for me. I’d say the high lasted me about an hour or so roughly.. a heavier indica leaning high for sure. But also very mellow and controllable I’d say a good all the time smoke, with a fairly unique terp profile. If I had to guess I’d say it’s 70 indica 30 sativa


Q: 8.8/10 - It’s smalls so can’t judge much off appearance, I felt like the buzz should’ve hit a little harder, but that could just be my personal preference in what I’m looking for / what I expected. Fridge made me think HEAVY, lol but I think it meant it smells and tastes like everything in it!

Now for the review. From what I’m told about this stuff it’s not CRC tech and it has to do with harvesting the stuff before the trichs amber... I’m not a weed wizard ...so I don’t know. BUT what I will tell you about this stuff is it’s awesome.


First pic is Death bubba, if you scroll through the other pics you’ll see nothing is quite the same colour / consistency of it. You can grab it with your fingers with no fear of it sticking really... maybe a little, but it’s stuck so hard to the bottom of the puck it’s unreal. The rest are standard looking shatter, it looks extremely stable but is actually very easy to pull and stretch to work with. Death bubba might be a little more difficult, I managed to find a piece that wasn’t in the glob and just pull it out for my first couple dabs.


The flavor is great... they didn’t have any scent to them really, but the death bubba tastes just like the flower but slightly danker almost? I dunno how to explain it. Super smooth on the inhale and a heavy lung hit on the exhale that’ll have you coughing... In a good way. Instant effects as far as the buzz settling in... Like a tesla on insane mode your instantly moving at the speed you were looking for.


The Lemon skunk is the only other one I’ve tried so far and no scent really on it, but when you smoke it the lemon comes through heavy, a little but of that skunky dank weed taste as well but the lemon is the dominant taste. The inhale is super smooth followed by almost a questionable exhale because of how smooth it is on the lungs. I definitely didn’t think I was gonna be stoned... took a second little one and kind of regretted it... was almost uncomfortably stoned for 5-10 minutes, had to sit down and drink a cup of juice to gather myself hahah

So other than the Death bubba all the shatter has a slight cloudyness to it.. I was concerned about this at first, but the Lemon skunk was soooo smooth and so clean tasting it eliminated all doubts I had.


If the Death bubba has had CRC tech applied to it.... This is the proper way to use CRC tech... same goes for the other strains. You could tell me you used CRC tech and I would not care, some of the smoothest/yummiest shatter I’ve had. Not to discredit the other guys I always give props to for their shatter on here.


Q: 9.4/10 - I’m sure there is ways to improve on this, I’m not a processor, but for me a really solid overall end product


V: 9.6/10 - The 5 pack intro sale HGA has on right now is a steal at $110 for 5 of them, Gelato 41 and Rockstar are the other options outside of these 5. They are apparently gonna go up to $40 a single after the sale, $26 a single now. Get em’ while their hot.. I think a more realistic price would be $30 a single while not on sale.

First let me start by saying that HGA usually carries really good everything... I think they really missed a lot on this one. This was graded as AAAA- and I think a AAA- rating is more appropriate or even AA based off of the irritation on inhale.

First we will start with how it looks.. as y...ou can see from the pictures the smalls definitely left something to be desired. My last review I praised them on the size of the red congo smalls.. these were popcorn/popcorn seeds at best. A lot of the smaller cleft/larf/whatever you wanna call the small leafy, scraggly buds had little stems shooting off of them which I had to pick through and throw out. a lot of the nugs were so small it probably took me 20-30 minutes to pick through everything I wanted to keep to smoke (wish I had timed this) and I had 2.1g of shake/stem when all was said. Some smaller stuff I would normally consider shake I had to let pass the test in fear of losing 2-3 grams of tiny nugs. Most gelato I’ve seen has had a good variance in colour from green to purple but these small nugs all look pretty uniform, but when you get nugs this small I don’t know if they grow to develop colour...

The smell upon arrival was kind of a light kush... maybe sweetened kush kinda smell.. fairly muted.. nothing really exciting to write home about.. I was more excited about the skunk bomb sample in the bag (which might be skunk bubba since they don’t have Bomb listed?). I expected more sweetend creamy with some gas on the backend and fruit undertones by everyones descriptions.

The smoke... I don’t know if it was the fact that these smalls were SOOOO Small, or it wasn’t flushed/dried/cured proper... but the inhale on this itches the throat... It’s harsh on the inhale.. has a small lung pull, nothing heavy by any means... The scratchy throat on the inhale and slight irritance afterwards is all that comes to mind though. Didn’t pay attention to colour of ash for you crazy ash heads, usually just try to feel it and enjoy. Flavor was very similar to the taste... kind of a light kush... the sweetness was almost lost and it was more of a light kush with earthy undertones.

The buzz was mild for an AAAA- from HGA and honestly slightly ruined by the irritated throat. I’m a concentrate smoker and I’d say I was moderately buzzed, I believe I took a dab when I got back in from the joint. It’s tough for me to evaluate the high.. I feel like the harshness on the inhale is really killing my vibes. But probably probably a mild chilled out kind of social vibe that I got off it.

Q: 5.6/10 - I’ve had so much better from HGA.. I’ve never had anything from them be so harsh on the throat... normally even something really heavy hitting like DMC will be smooth going down and then on the exhale you feel it on the lungs... I’m not even sure if this is real Gelato.. I know ever Pheno is different but where are the fruity undertones? And where is the colouring???

V: 5/10 - These smalls were $180 an ounce.. If these were priced around the $100-$120 mark I’d say it’d be a more appropriate value. =/

One of / If not the most disappointing purchase from HGA... I’m not sure if these smalls are so small that’s what’s causing the irritation or if it wasn’t dried/cured/flushed proper... or If I’m just smoking some mediocre strain marked as Gelato... but why the throat irritant!

Alright so I picked this up when I seen the smalls come back in stock... Hard to pass up at the price of $154 an ounce. If your smart your reviewing on here and getting it for $129.
That being said the smalls on the site seem to be just as potent as the regular sized nugs.. these smalls were big...ger than the last ones I received but in all honesty this batch of death mint cookies seemed to lack a little potency compared to before... Still very potent. Or maybe I’m just getting more accustomed to HGA strains. I didn’t get as robust of smells from it either when opening, heavy meat on this batch for me. roughly a gram of shake in the entire ounce.

Q: Graded as smalls at 8.2/10
V: 10/10 HGA hit me up with the sample this time.. $129 for an ounce + a sample of Earthbind cookies... Great deal.

Quick review of Earthbind cookies. I twisted up the whole 1.12g I received and blasted it with a buddy with intentions of smoking a DMC doobie after... we finished the earthbind after smoking for roughly 10 mins and decided to break for a ciggy and get a drink.. First, right off the bat... I love these ’smalls’ deals... These were posted at $140 for an oz of smalls on the very last day of their labour day sale where if you spent $350 you got 30% off of your order. Each ounce worked out to $98 a piece.

All the nugs were pretty much the same, not... really any shake in any of the bags; which I was surprised by. Upon opening your immediately hit with a sweet skunky scent with earthy undertones to it, it smelled dank... but not super heavy. Boy was I wrong, got the package at 3:30 and opened and checked everything out/jarred it up. Got back around 5 and when I opened the door the smell was still heavy in my condo. My kid said the place smells like ’That coffee stuff momma drinks!’ And I have to agree, after sitting it smells like coffee in the room. I was hoping I’d taste this hidden coffee scent while smoking but mainly just that sweet skunky taste, which I’m 100% fine with. Buddy said he gets meat off of it, but he tastes meat in everything.
The buzz on it is actually pretty heavy and sedating, I smoked one last night at 1 a.m. hoping to game for a couple hrs since the kid was gone and I ended up passing out a half hour later cause my eyes didn’t want to stay open.
Smoked clean, slight lung pull but nothing to heavy. I usually associate a good lung pull with a good high, but this stuff had the high regardless. Not as strong as the Death mint cookies or some of their other AAAA stuff, but still decently strong and $80 cheaper an ounce for reg.
