Violator is a strain that’s unmistakable for me, it’s got an extremely unique terp profile and bud structure that I’ve seen consistently through budget all the way up to top of th...e line cuts of violator. Very light green in color and loaded with beautiful trichs from top to bottom. Even the few leaves left over on the bud are completely dusted . I have no issues whatsoever with having sugar leaves left over on the bud if they’re frosty like this.! It gives the joint more of a full flavour imo. Like how you get lobster or shrimp still in the shell in restaurants. Just wouldn’t be the same if you couldn’t crack open that shell and see the glory within. Makes you appreciate it a little more seeing where it comes from if that makes any sense.

Tasted like a creamy frothy cream soda without the intense sweetness. This one surprised me a little because it had a strong taste of pure gas at the end that was really enjoyable. sometimes I find violator too smooth, I like feeling a bit of that burn in my throat / lungs from a gassy / kushy strain. First time I smoked weed the girl I smoked with said “ you have to cough to get off “ and I’ve always been a fan of the ones that make me cough a little... from the characteristics of the strain or potency of the weed of course , we all know the difference between coughing from something being loud/ dank af or just grown or cured unprofessionally and being trash.

The high was instantaneous , felt it long before the end of the joint . Very floaty and calming for me, not to the point where I felt like laying down or falling asleep though. The taste is identical to the smell which is something I absolutely love about some strains. When I buy a box of captain crunch I don’t want to pour it into my bowl just to discover it tastes like raisin bran. I feel the same about my weed. Ive gotten bags with crazy nose and bag appeal but then when smoked it does nothing for me taste wise , and when I’m smoking 10 joints or so a day I prefer them to taste good not just get me stoned. That’s where HGA stands out in another way for me , always tastes good from start to finish.

This one did not disappoint. Got it on sale @ $160 which was a great price for the weed. Easily a 200+ strain all day. I brought the value down a little because I’ve had $125 bags of violator that were definitely just as nice but hit or miss on consistency. With HGA I know the quality is always consistent and I think that in itself is worth the extra few dollars if you’re not someone who likes taking risks on getting a bunk bag cause you wanted to save $25.

The flower was remarkably frosted with trichomes. The buds contain orange-colored hairs which are long and thin shooting out of the buds. The aroma of BD is earthy and musky, more or less like th...at of red wine. Red wine and bug spray lol seriously strong intoxicating nose on this one.

The taste is similar to the smell and the taste of strong indica is left in my mouth for some time. Id recommend this strain to be used as a nighttime smoke.

If you’ve got trouble eating or sleeping this is the ticket as it can be very sedative and gave me the munchies like no other. I came downstairs with a yogurt at the peak of my high only to realize I left my spoon all the way upstairs. After looking around and weighing my options I decided using my index and middle finger together as a makeshift spoon was going to be the best and only option for someone on my level of blasted.

@$180 / OZ Reg Price I feel like I got just as good of a deal as the rockstar , black tuna or dosidos house strains @$150 on sale. They’re all great smoke but the black diamond just has that extra kick in potency and next level bag appeal that I personally look for. I think anybody the house strains at HGA are worth a try if you’re not exactly feeling the reg prices or waiting for your particular favourite strain to go on sale . Definitely worth the asking price and more. Will be trying more of the house strains if they’re offered in the future.

Q 8.5/ 10. Could have been better bud structure, and the trim wasn’t the greatest but what leaf was there was coated in trichs so I can’t really complain. Trying to be a little more critical in my reviews so it doesn’t seem like I’m giving points away. Hard to find things I don’t like about what I’ve received from HGA though lol

V 8.5 / 10. For $30 - $40 more than than the other house strains I expected the buds to be a lot nicer than the others.

*** I feel like @180 regular price this is just as nice as some of the $200- $240 + regular strains so I don’t want to let the bud size comparison sway you away from it. Bag Appeal - bright green almost fluorescent nugs all trimmed extremely well, outstanding bud structure. Long and thin vivid orange hairs cover the flowers with a heavy dusting of trichomes, sticky yet dry - perfect cure. Some of the ...most appealing flowers I’ve EVER come across.

Taste/ Smell was EXTREMELY pungent. I can’t stress how amazing it smells. It smelled/ tasted slightly piney and cheesy with a bit of a nutty finish. Could get a bit of a hint of berries when busted up. White / Grey ash. Thick white smoke every toke. Cleaaaaaan taste.

The Red Congolese high gave me a sense of awareness with alertness and an increased ability to focus. A few puffs into the doob I begin to feel a light tingly body high , and the strange sense that everything was right in the world. Was the BEST cut of red Congo I’ve ever had by far, was a perfect wake-and-bake bag. I cleaned my entire garage in a couple hours after smoking one joint , usually I’d smoke a couple and be hitting the dab rig. Very impressed

For $160 / Oz on sale this I feel was the best deal I’ve seen from HGA. The Death Mint Cookies no doubt got me more stoned , but for those of us who like being a normal functional adult instead of a walking zombie the red Congo takes the cake. The best way I’ve been able to explain the experience to friends is that I’d smoke it 5 minutes before a job interview and feel completely comfortable and confident. It’s almost like the broken circuits in my head are suddenly connecting again ... for a couple minutes until I sober up and then I’m back to mush for brains.

If there was a weed version of the movie limitless with bradley cooper , the magic drug to unlock your mind would be this exact batch of red Congo from HGA no doubt .See More

I’ll skip through the obvious parts of the review. Customer service is always great - shipping was overnight - package was sealed and secure.

Look: dark green dense yet fluffy buds, plenty of trichs to be had here. Insane look under a cell phone light or natural - super fresh and sti...cky.

Burn: thick white smoke , homogenous white/ light grey ash, resin ring from start to finish. Tasted great all the way through the joint.

Nose: classic pink Kush smell. Like sweet candys ( pink/ red starburst ) with a lingering smell of gasoline/ fuel.

Effect: sedative with a strong body buzz , felt heaviness behind my eyes almost instantly. Like most of all the other HGA products I only need to smoke one joint and I’m fully satisfied .

I placed my order on a Tuesday and received the package the following morning in rural ontario. Fastest shipping from a MoM I’ve ever received.

Service was outstanding , any questions I had about my choices were answered in a timely and professional ma...nner. The CS team at HGA are polite and courteous, much more welcoming and understandable than an automated email letting me know my question will be responded to within 48 hours.

Package was In a mailer with just a simple slim cardboard box containing a double vacuum seal inside. After I opened the first bag I could already smell the aroma from the DMC coming from the still sealed bag it came in. This stuff has a serious pungent yet subtle smell that definitely has hints of doughy cookie with a nice topper of gassy / spicy notes no doubt coming from the Death Star side of the parents.

The taste was clean and reminiscent of some really great GSC cuts I’ve had before. Thick white smoke followed by a homogeneous white ash and beautiful resin ring from start to finish. This is the sort of stuff you smoke to the filter because it tastes so good even until the last puffs.

Nice sedative effects coming from this strain. Made me feel calm and relaxed , I even managed to sit down and watch an entire movie without having to stretch or walk around from being so stiff and sore ( motorcycle accident last year ).

Most of the time couldn’t finish a joint first try when I smoked it to myself. I guess I shouldn’t say I couldn’t , it’s that I didn’t NEED to smoke the rest. That’s a huge part of a true quad for me.... feeling satisfied after I smoke. This stuff definitely checks that box. I find sometimes I’m chasing a high that can never be found, until I came across this treat. At $135 an oz it was an absolute steal of a deal. (. $160 sale price + $25 first time referral code).


At $280 regular price I would still buy it as a treat however I’d really need to have some expendable money kicking around to feel like it was worth the price on a regular basis. More so of a budget thing than a quality issue.See More

The flower showed up a little drier than I’d prefer but bounced right back with a boost pack after a few days. Smells very spicy, almost like sage or savoury notes with a hint of gas toward the end.

Extremely presentable , tons of bag appeal to this one . The different hues of green mat...ched with the overload of trichomes and unique bud structure I can see how it checks most of the boxes in the AAAA criteria.

Great high , not too overpowering but enough to say I wouldn’t recommend smoking it first thing in the morning. The only thing I didn’t like about it which has been mentioned in previous posts about the high octane gas pheno’s currently offered at okg is the burn. The ash is dark and it doesn’t seem to want to keep lit without coaxing, not terribly black or anything but I would expect better out of a quad priced relatively above average.

Overall 8/10. Would definitely order it again for something different and unique to smoke.See More
