Nice glassy and clean consistency that had a slightly oily sheen on the outside. Both packages were found to be in great shape upon arrival without any pieces being melted or crushed from the travel. The taste on the black cherry was reminiscent of welches white grape juice mixed with some mild arti...ficial berry flavors. The green apple wasn’t entirely different but did have some more distinct tart apple flavors alongside that same familiar grape juice in the background.

Both candies were delicious, but I did notice a mild bitterness 30 seconds into popping the candies in my mouth. There was also a slight “spiciness” that I noticed on the back of the throat after having 2-3. The effects had me just feeling calm and relaxed and seemed to help me settle in for the evening as I was winding down for the night.

Found this to be another strain arriving with some incredible visuals with a near perfect trim, an array of contrasting colours and a nice squish/moisture level. The icing on the layer cake, is the noticeable amount of visible trichome heads in the crevices of the short-tapered buds. Stocky well mat...ured trichomes were present in no short supply throughout the interior of the buds as well. The smells were incredibly funky likely credited to its GMO heritage that left the nose with a heavy stank with some mild doughy aromas to follow.

Found this one burned with a small oil ring throughout, ending with a near white ash. The same pungent aromas came through in the smoke with pungent almost foul flavors alongside some mild sweet and creamy notes. The effects were no joke with some potent effects that had me feeling overly baked, leaving me with hazey vision and difficulty staying on task. Found this was closely followed by an intense body stone that had me feeling extremely relaxed and lazy. Pungent flavors, an intense smoke and potent effects make this a suitable perfect evening option.

Strain arrived as one large slightly airy structured bud which was surprisingly dense and sticky to the touch. The bud itself was well handled, still possessing a wild and unkempt appearance with pistils and calyx’s going in every direction. It reminded me of picking up some buds from a private AC...MPR nearby me, which I found impressive. (Feel free to check back at some flower from thesilvah to see what I am referring to) The light and forest green backgrounds were accented by the long sprawling pistils that went all over the place. Now inbetween this airy structure the nugs were packed with visible trichome heads which were mainly milky and clear; without being in short supply. Now the smells on this one was not as appealing as some Rockstar I have had in the past with mainly earthy aromas as I initially checked the bag. After busting the buds down though there was some delicate sweetness alongside some kush and herbal notes.

Burned a salt and pepper ash with a nice smooth smoke, providing mild notes of herbal spiciness, earth and kush most prominent on exhale. The effects seemed to creep up on me with a slowly escalating clear cerebral buzz. Found my eyelids slowly adopted the squinting position with heavy physically relaxing vibes taking the reins making the pace I wanted to operate at slow down considerably. Potent hybrid effects make this an anytime of the day smoke, but I’d hedge a bet this would likely put your ass to bed if you had a few extra bowls.

Found the buds to be tightly packed and sticky to the touch. The buds had mainly dark forest and lighter green patches making up the chunky tapered buds. The buds were trimmed nicely but seemed to be lacking some trich heads on the exterior for me to speak to. On the interior though the heads were ...densely packed being mainly comprised of clear and cloudy heads. Smells were pungent with heavy fuel aromas kicking things off with a tail end of herbal and mildly floral aromas.

Found this smoked very slowly in a joint with a greasy oil ring becoming present a third through the joint. Finished with a light grey ash with some darker flecks. Flavors on the smoke were all gas on inhale with some woody and mild herbal notes on exhale. Effects were Indica leaning which had me feeling relaxed right from the get-go with euphoric, calm and mellow vibes. Some sedative effects were also present as my eyelids became pretty weighted a half hour post smoke.

Medium sized and significantly dense fat spade shaped nugs had multitudes of greens in the background with some dark purple patches. These colours alongside the greasy looking exterior made for some catching visuals. Found the moisture level and stickiness of the buds were on point but the exterior ...did again lack a ton of untouched trichomes on the outside. In the crevices though the trichomes were short stalked with fat clear and cloudy globular heads. The buds were also excessive sticky which made both using a grinder and busting it up by hand a task. Smells were also top notch with intensely gassy and clean citrus aromas that was so damn nice.

Smoke on this was great with the same gassy and citrus notes hitting with powerful and thick clouds that filled the lungs quickly. Burned nicely with a lighter grey ash with some minor peppering but was greaaaaasy all the way through. Effects were impressive with effects that initially had me with an overly stoned head high making it difficult to string thoughts together. This mellowed out when a heavy physically relaxing body high started dominating the effects. This one has a high risk of couchlock amateurs should take note of.

One long somewhat chunky 5-gram bud alongside its 2-gram counterpart made up this quarter. Background colours were minty green with patches of light green and dusty purples that were whitewashed by the thick coating of milky white trichomes. Long dark green to purple sugar leaves pointed towards the... tip which protected a lot of the trichome coverage below. There were also light peach to rusty orange pistils adding to the already diverse colour palette. As I looked closer, the densely packed long milky stalks had a nice balance of heads atop. Smells coming off the bud were mainly musty and nutty with some underlying menthol and pine. This was a weird nose to me but kind of intriguing; took me a while to decide on the combo of scents I was picking up.

Found the joint burned nicely with a uber clean white ash with an incredibly smooth smoke. A small oil ring was present midway through the joint. Found the effects hit nicely behind the eyes and above the shoulder with a cerebral buzz that allowed me to stay focused and keep my thoughts organized. Nicely episodic uplifting vibes kicked in from time to time. Moreso suited for daytime activities but without any sedation to speak of it’s perfect to keep yourself motivated without any fatigue or lethargic feelings.

Incredibly dark purple buds provided the perfect backdrop for the milky resin coverage and the stocky rich orange pistils to really stand out. Long finger-like bud was nicely dense with a crusty shell and sticky interior making the fingers tacky relatively quickly. A close look at the trichomes reve...aled long milky white stalks with amber heads to spare. I find this to be one of those consistent strains that provide the smell you expect every time. No exception here! Found myself met with the familiar nutty smells alongside some intense gassy plumes; which is something I’ve never picked up on PBB prior. As you broke down the buds it took the terpene factor to another level releasing significantly more sharp diesel aromas alongside, light woody and citrus smells. For me, this was the most enjoyable and unexpected nose I’ve had on a PBB to date.

Found the smoke produced felt smooth on the lungs with some sharp dominant woody and fuel notes which felt almost refreshing to smoke. Not at all what I was expecting but can say I was pleasantly surprised as the flavors were crisp clean and prominent. The strain burned a light grey ash with several areas of darker grey ash. Post-smoke I slowly felt the effects creep in about 5 minutes later with an uplifting and stoney head high making concentrating difficult and spacing out a breeze. Later found these effects trickled down from my shoulder to the rest of my body which mellowed out the buzz quickly and had me feeling supremely relaxed. All around a fantastic PBB with nicely potent and relaxing smoke which slowed down my thoughts and stripped me of any stress. Great evening option that would likely fit the bill for a lazy afternoon too.

Fat and stocky obviously hand trimmed nug that was as dense as they come. Beautiful moisture level made for a crackly exterior with an insanely sticky and caked interior. A wide range of greens, dark blues/purples and thin burnt orange pistils; plastered with a thick layer of resin made for another ...wildly appealing strain. Under the macro lense, the trichomes were short and stacked with mainly fat clear and milky heads. Another strain offering a powerfully gassy nose that is sharp and pungent; making it linger on the nostrils after taking a whiff.

I found that in a joint this was as greasy as they come; with an immediate oil ring becoming so thick it was difficult to get a clean haul. Ash finished mainly light grey and fluffy with some minor darker peppering. Flavors again hit mainly with gas but there were also some mild earthy and herbal notes on exhale. The effects were immediately felt post-smoke starting with a spacey cerebral buzz that quickly transitioned into a heavy body stone. Wickedly potent Indica effects had me overly relaxed and zoning out over and over; making it difficult to get anything done. I’d be cautious smoking this mid-day if you had anything to do; as it will sap your ambition and have you blankly staring into space for hours. Nothing like an over the top gassy smoke with powerfully potent Indica effects to put you to sleep at the end of the night. Absolutely perfect for the task.

For popcorn I was pleasantly surprised with the size, trim, and moisture level of the buds. Found the semi-dense nugs to have a crisp exterior with a sticky interior. The visuals were really vibrant as bright lime greens provided the background for the wild and winding rich orange pistils. The smell... was also another positive; as sweet pungent citrus aromas hit my nose. After having some time to take in the scents you could also pick up minor notes of fresh pine. All around an extremely rich and satisfying smell.

Smoke was extremely smooth with thick delicious smoke providing sweet citrus flavors with fresh pine notes on exhale. Burned with a light grey ash and a respectable oil ring throughout. Effects were immediate and cerebral; as you’d hope for a notable Sativa strain. Found myself with a heady buzz with intermittent episodes of euphoria and energy that had me always looking for the next thing to do. Nice clear and focused head high that also had me pleasantly relaxed an hour in; with most of the effects hitting above the shoulders. Perfect wake and bake smoke or for when you needed to socialize or hang out with friends; if that was possible right now. All and all, for a popcorn version of this strain it was stellar; and in my opinion a fantastic option if you are after this cut of Red Congo, with a budget in mind.

I find from experience with popcorn it can be difficult to assess the original quality of the strain. Either due to mild quality issues; sub-par trim, excess shake or buds that have been relatively dried out. Not the case in this instance. There is a reason this is such a sought-after strain from AC Medical. I'll be looking to test out the strain in it's larger form in the future for that reason.
