I recently got an ounce of Pink Death from HighGradeAid. This was my first time trying this strain and it really impressed me.

Upon opening the bag I was hit with a wave of gas, but an usual gas, very sweet with a distinct heavy tone reminiscent of peanut butter chocolate. Very pungent an...d very delicious. A bit reminiscent of the Death Chocolate Mousse.

The bag appeal is good, mostly nice sized large and medium buds with very few smalls, all very very sticky. Mixed hues of green and purple are present on the buds, with lots of fiery orange hairs interspersed. Slightly less dense than some other strains I’ve had from them but still a good density, and very sticky. Absolutely coated in trichomes.

It smokes very smooth and tastes very similar to the smell, sweet and gassy with hints of peanut chocolate. Incredibly delicious, and a great burn.

The potency seriously impressed me. It’s a very heavy indica buzz with a slight head high as well. Reminds me of the DCM but with less of a head high. One of the strongest strains I’ve tried from HGA, roughly tied with the Peanut Butter Breath and just falling short of the Death Chocolate Mousse. Definitely a great choice for indica lovers.

Overall I am very happy with the Pink Death from HGA. It has a delicious smell and taste, good looking sticky buds, and some very nice potency as well. Certainly not the last time I’ll be getting this one. I can definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a heavy indica. 9.1/10

I took advantage of the Christmas sales and purchased an ounce of Peanut Butter Breath from HighGradeAid. This is my first time trying this strain and it’s quickly become a favourite of mine.

When I opened the bag, I was hit with a wave of terps that were strange but delicious. I had ne...ver smelled anything like this, it was a sweet, nutty, pungent smell that reeks up the house quickly. I’ve spent way too much time smelling this stuff, it’s such a pleasant scent to me.

The appearance is mostly light green with very few remaining dark green leaves, and lots of fiery orange hairs. Very well trimmed buds that are incredibly dense. I was surprised by how small the ounce looked in a jar, it’s just so dense. The buds are quite sticky as well, a good crunch on the outside but nicely sticky inside. Most of the buds I received were fairly small with a couple good mediums in there.

The smoke is very smooth, this is not a cougher. It’s very tasty as well, the smell comes across in the taste strongly. Lingers in your mouth afterwards too, I really love smoking this stuff because it tastes so good and goes down so easy.

The potency impressed me here. I was worried this would be a bit light based on some reviews I’ve seen, but I find this to be strong. Not quite Death Chocolate Mousse strong, but still a very solid high. It’s definitely indica dominant, very relaxing and sedating with some buzzing in the face. Still has a good head high too so I find it to be a really well rounded smoke.

Overall I’m really impressed with this Peanut Butter Breath, and very happy I got it. It smells great, tastes great, and has a nice high. Definitely one of my favourites from HGA now. I actually have another ounce on the way already, and definitely recommend it to anyone who’s considering it. 9.2/10

I recently purchased an ounce of Chemdawg from LowPriceBud. It was a favourite strain of mine back in the day so I was excited to grab it again after so many years, and it hasn’t disappointed.

When I first opened the bag, I noticed that the smell was pretty muted. This was marked as a A...AAA- so I knew something had to be lacking, and I’m sure it was the smell. It still had a faint gassy/chemmy/sour aroma, but wasn’t very pungent out of the bag. The buds were a nice mixture of greens and purples, frosted in white trichomes. A good mixture of mediums with a small amount of smalls. Really nice bag appeal, and very sticky buds as well.

After a night in a jar the smell really came back out, still not the most pungent but a nice distinct chemmy/sour aroma, hard to describe but like those old school sour terps a good chemdawg or sour diesel would have. This translated to taste as well, it’s a very tasty smoke. As I said before the buds are really really sticky, and they grind up and burn well too. The potency is solid, a nice hybrid head high that tapers into a very lazy body stone. Good amount of painkilling ability too for a hybrid.

Overall I’d rate this Chemdawg an 8.8/10. It looks great, tastes great and has a nice strong hybrid high, the only thing missing out of the bag is a pungent smell. A really great pickup, and for the price I paid with discount coupon and points, an absolute steal. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who likes the strain, or more old school strains in general.

I recently purchased an ounce of Death Mint Cookies from High Grade Aid for the first time. I’ve been a big fan of their Death Chocolate Mousse for a while but I’ve never tried DMC before, so when I saw they were advertising this batch as one of the best of the year, I figured it was the perfect... time to try it out finally.

When I cracked open the bag, a wave of gas hit me immediately. The smell was very pungent and gassy with a distinct cookies aroma as well. The buds were all frosted over and sticky as hell, absolutely coated in large trichomes. They were a nice mix of green and purple, lots of colour in these buds. I received mixed sizes ranging from smalls to a few large, mostly medium-small nugs.

It smokes very smooth, no coughing from this one. The gassy scent comes through in the taste, with a pronounced cookies taste as well. I didn’t really get any mint tones personally, but overall it was really tasty stuff.

In terms of potency, it was pretty much what I was expecting. Strong, a solid head high reminiscent of the DCM, but with much less of a body load. I’d say it’s a bit weaker than the DCM, but that could be my personal tastes coming into play. Overall a solid, strong indica dominant hybrid.

Overall I’m very glad I tried Death Mint Cookies finally, and this seems like a good batch to have started with. It’s sticky, smelly, and looks amazing. The potency is there too, but it’s not as much of a couch locker as the DCM. It hasn’t usurped DCM as my favourite strain, but it’s definitely a solid pickup that I will certainly order again. 9/10

On Black Friday I took advantage of HighGradeAid’s 50% off sale to stock up, though by the time I got to the site it was pretty sparse. I had been aiming to pick up some of the Sour Tahoe, but it was gone by the time I got there, so I ended up going for two ounces instead, one of Dank Schrader and... one of Bubba Skunk. They were both rated AAA+. This review is only for the Dank Schrader, Bubba Skunk will follow below.

When I first opened the bag, I was struck by the lack of smell. It looked pretty nice through the bag and I was kind of expecting a wave of odour, but it didn’t arrive. Instead I could catch a faint scent reminiscent of tea. When I transferred to a jar, I did my usual examination and very sticky was my first thought. The buds are almost all smalls, with a few mediums, but they’re all rock hard dense. It’s well trimmed, barely a noticeable leaf. The buds are a solid medium green colour broken only by the occasional orange hair. There is a coating of trichomes but they’re quite small and don’t stand out a whole lot. Overall they’re some pretty average looking buds, really sticky though especially once torn open.

The smoke is where this strain shines. It went down so smooth I was surprised, I guess I’m just used to gassy strains making me cough. No coughing at all with this one. Burns white and has some heavy potency as well, two bowls was all I needed which is a good sign. It’s definitely an indica high, starts with a bit of a head buzz which quickly turns into a heavy body stone glueing you to your seat. It also caused me immediate hunger, not a typical effect for me. I was really surprised how strong this one was, not quite as good as the DCM but definitely up there. It’s stronger than the Pink OG Kush I picked up recently.

Overall I’m really impressed with the Dank Schrader. Very sticky and very potent. The only place I feel it lacks is the nose, the AAA+ rating seems appropriate. For the price I paid an absolute steal, and I’d love to pick it up again in the future. 8.5/10

Additional Bubba Skunk Review:

The Bubba Skunk was quite pungent upon opening the bag, a nice kushy odour with a strange undertone I can’t really place. It was also very sticky with almost all the buds stuck together in one clump.

The buds were a good mix of mediums and smalls, and had a more noticeable coating of trichomes than the Dank Schrader. They were a darker green coloration with hints of purple on some of the leaves. A leafier trim than usual.

The taste was similar to the smell, with more of that strange undertone coming through. Not my favourite tasting strain, but not bad tasting. The high is a moderate indica high, sedating but not overpowering. Of the two strains I picked up, I personally preferred the Dank Schrader, but the Bubba Skunk is nice as well and a great pickup for the price I paid. 7.8/10

During the Black Friday week sale I decided to try this House Indica Pink OG Kush from HighGradeAid. It was shipped within a couple hours of ordering and arrived 2 days later with Canada Post, a very good experience altogether. With the 20% off coupon and review code I paid less than 120 for this ou...nce, a really great price.

When I first opened the bag, I was fairly disappointed. There wasn’t much smell at all, and a quick glance in the bag was not anything special. Once I transferred it to a jar that changed though.

The buds were all stuck together and had to be pulled apart they were so sticky. What initially appeared to be scraggly leafy buds turned out to fairly dense and coated in trichomes, just not the tightest bud structure. They ranged in size, mostly being smalls and a couple popcorns, with a few mediums mixed in. The trim isn’t too bad actually, there are some unnecessary leaves here and there but it’s mostly well trimmed. The bud structure is what initially threw me off guard, it’s not as tight as I’m used to.

Once ground up, the smell really comes out, it’s a very sweet, pink scent. Not overly pungent but distinctly there. After a few days in the jar that smell started to come back out in the buds as well. The smell is where I would say this bud is lacking.

It smokes incredibly well actually, completely smooth tokes with a nice burn and that sweet pink kush taste is noticeably present also. The potency is there as well, it’s one of those strains that takes a minute to kick in but then it’s quite nice. Strong head high with body sedation as well. Easy to overindulge and get a slightly dizzy head high I find, due to that creeper effect. It’s not as potent as the DCM obviously, but it’s a solid AAA+ and at the price I paid a fantastic value.

Overall I’m very happy with my order, I don’t regret taking a chance on this strain. Great value and fast shipping, good experience with HGA as always. 8/10

I had a good, thorough review prepared but accidentally erased it all, so it’ll take a bit to rewrite.

I recently purchased an ounce of the new batch of Death Chocolate Mousse from HighGradeAid. This is my favourite strain, I grab an ounce or two every time they drop a new batch, so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed no matter what. This batch exceeded my expectations.

When I first opened... the bag, I was met with a wave of intense gassy chocolate with lemon undertones. It’s ridiculously pungent, there’s no way to open this discreetly. It’s also very very sticky, many of the buds were sticking together, and they were not packaged too tight at all.

The appearance of this batch is a mixture of greens just coated in white trichomes. Way better trimmed than the last batch as well, even the small nugs in my ounce were tight and frosty, no scraggly bottoms or excess leaf. Very nice bag appeal this time around.

The smoke is thick and heavy, typical of DCM. It makes you cough, but not because it’s harsh. It’s actually a really smooth smoke, very enjoyable. The nose really comes through in the flavours too, I really taste the chocolate and lemon tones.

The potency is the real attraction of this strain, it just floors you. One or two bowls and I’m in a chair for a few hours. I have not found any other strain that has such a nice sedating effect on me. There’s also a fair bit of euphoria with this strain, so really a wonderful high all around.

Overall I’m very happy with this pickup, DCM never lets me down. The shipping was also very fast, 3 days with Canada Post. Great experience with HGA as always. I’m sure most of you have tried this strain by now but if you haven’t, I absolutely recommend it. 10/10
