Zellys Gift - Budmail/ Skookum, September 2020

This one was a random grab for me. The lineage piqued my interest so I pulled the trigger on it. The buds have some wild fox tails on them. The nose is closest to Oregon Golden Goat in my opinion. Kind of a lemony pine scent. Taste doesn’t quite translate. I found the initial pulls to be spicy with a hint of bitter acidic smoke. However, as the joint burned down, it started tasting a lot better. Decent resin ring but certainly not as evident as other strains I’ve had from Skookum. Cure is consistent and burn is clean. The high is strong - tunnel vision and squinty eyes. Flatlined my girlfriend off of a couple puffs. Munchies were STRONG with this strain. Between this and the White Sumo I worry for my food budget. Would I buy this strain again? Probably not. I love the effects but the taste isn’t up my alley. I love the effects of Jack but never was a fan of the taste and I think the Zelly shows my least favourite traits of it (peppery, spicy smoke). However, it’s still a winner in every other department. White Sumo - Budmail/ Skookum, September 2020

Love this stuff. The buds are gorgeous, coated in trichomes and a perfect cure. Sticky but snaps off the stem easily. The nose is one of my favourites of all time - it smells like Blood Orange San Pellegrino. Taste is very close to smell. Burns white. It actually reminds me a ton of the first batch of Punch Breath I got from Kootenay Craft a year or so ago. Every subsequent purchase of their Punch Breath has never delivered on that initial bag. I’m stoked to find something that has a similar nose and effects which also burns a hell of a lot cleaner. Decent resin ring around a joint. High is still somewhat functional for me, definitely a later afternoon/ early evening smoke but I’m not written off by it. Munchies are a side effect with this for me. I basically ate anything that wasn’t nailed down last night. I purchased a half ounce of this and ended up turning around and buying another as this strain is a hit for me. Q: 10 V: 9.5

Do-Si-Pie (Budmail) early September

Got this with thier labour day weekend promotion (-20%) & what a treat this has been. This bud was super potent right out of the packaging, had a very earthy and sweet smell. The buds we're super compact and covered in those beautiful trichromes that we all know and love. The high was long lasting and if you are into indica strains I'd highly recommend trying this. 9/10 overall rating. Only downfall was the regular price on the skookum cans.

Super Silver Haze - Budmail - July 2020 (Preview)

Pleasantly surprised by how terpy and citrusy this value **Super Silver Haze** was, though it arrived on the dry side and def wasn't as smooth as some of the premium choices from this source Citrusy, skunky, dank, earthy sweetness in the jar.. Slightly sweet, earthy, lemony flavours that becomes herbal and spicy late More potent than expected as an uplifting, euphoric sativa, but also not the cleanest or most-clearheaded experience, with dry eyes and some possible adverse effects (esp for those with a lower tolerance). Overall enjoyed this opportunity to try SSH again after a long time

Punch Breath - Skookum - Budmail - September

As usual, Skookum offers another Top Tier selection! ​ Punch Breath is a fantastic cross between Mendo Breath x Purple Punch F2. After some jar time these buds smell like the inside of a grape berry pop tart that's absolutely mouthwatering. The Buds are Medium to Small but very dense and completely coated in frost. There's also orange hairs and shades of purple that make these nugs a beauty. The taste in a vape is pretty much like it smells and is just incredible. Smooth grape and berry pop tarts, I can vape it all day if there wasn't a high lol. Produces a nice amount of vapor filling plenty of vape bags. ​ And now the best part! After a 0.9g Volcano session I was launched into the best mood ever. Highly euphoric and uplifting which was making me grin the whole time. There's also a powerful body high that keeps you relaxed but doesn't leave you couch locked. There's a sleepiness but also some focus mixed so you can still game or get chores done but I was also able to fall soundly asleep at any moment. Lower doses would be more productive but the more you consume the stronger the sleepy euphoria. Great for stress, depression and anxiety as it really offers a potent blissful buzz with no ceilings. ​ Easily became a new favorite for me with perfect scores for taste, smell and high. Note I got a few cans and tried both the Indica Tin and newer Hybrid TIn and they're pretty much the same. Honey Pot Kush/Skookum(Budmail)/September

Looks: this stuff has some nice bright orange-auburn hairs and is pretty coated in kief, making it look blanketed in the sun. Slightly darker coloured nugs, a forest green contrasts the orange hairs nicely. Trim job is alright, but theres the odd leaf when busted up, not the best but not bad by any means! The cure is pretty fresh,bigger nugs may gum up some grinders. Nose: musty, moth ball type smell, with some earthy woody notes. when busted the terps come out a bit more, but I wouldnt say its crazy loud or anything. Once busted, it smells like an earthy, woody mix, very unique and maybe has some spiced cedar notes. Taste: In the vape the taste matches the smell, its a unique terp mix that I can truly say ive never quite experienced before, and the flavour is quite difficult to nail on the head, but ill do my best! Starts as a sweet, woody, slight skunk funk, that leads to a very earthy and spiced cedar type of flavour. The experience was nice trying a new terp profile but its not quite my cup of tea, I usually prefer the more piney flavours as opposed to earthy/woody, but theyre cool to try.I didn’t think it was anything to write home about though,as some bubbas are quite earthy and I can still find them really tasty. Vapor Quality: A bit harsher than the usual Ive come to expect from skookum, but nice and thick clouds, and I found this to be a good vapor producer. The terps tickle my throat a bit,maybe because im not used to them! High: The real winner for me... the high is a creeper and a true indica. Heavy body stone. I was walking my dog and my legs felt super heavy and like they were moving in slow-mo. I didnt feel much effects at all in the head, it was a purely relaxing body melt. I could see this being great gaming weed, and great for evening wind down seshes. Some of my aches and pains were relieved, so I can see this being a good medicinal strain. Overall, it’s not my favourite cultivar and have come to expect a bit more from skookum. Was hoping for a bit tastier, terpier vapor, but it may not be my type of terp. Im about to take a nap, three bowls back to back has me feelin pretty toasty:P Peace reddit

Dutch Crunch - Budmail - August 2020

Sorry for the review dump folks but I’ve been working in a no cell signal area for the last month and got some catching up to do now that I’m home. Damn, this may be my new favourite strain. I’m a sucker for Jack Herrer crosses and this one really takes the cake for me. No real trace of the usual peppery smell/ taste that Jack has, this is more of a pineapple citrus nose. Buds are spongey and fluff up really nicely when ground up. Burns white with a decent resin ring around it. The high is a real darling for me. Functional but strong. It puts me in a good mood every time I smoke some. Even my girlfriend (who isn’t much of a smoker) enjoys this strain a ton. We usually smoke one before sitting down to watch a movie or a show. No heavy munchies effect. This stuff is damn near perfect for me. Q:10 V:10

Do-Si-Pie - Budmail - August 2020

I got Do-si-do tin series from Budmail as my first order from them about nine or so months ago. It was an absolute favourite and I had a number of people tell me to try their Do-Si-Pie. Budmail had some on offer (not tin or premier series but still listed as quads) so I decided to give it a shot. Huge miss for me. The buds look good but smell is basically nonexistent and same with taste. Almost a sour, acidic taste to the smoke. High is relatively strong but you have to deal with the taste in order to get there and I’m just not into it. Burns salt and pepper. I was not a huge fan of their Hidden Pastry but this strain is worse by far. Easily my least favourite strain I’ve had from Skookum/ Budmail. My score may seem relatively harsh but judging it against every other strain I’ve had from this company makes it the black sheep for sure. Q:6 V:6

Mandarin Cookies - Budmail - Early August 2020

What a winner. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a ‘cookies’ fan a lot of the time but between this and the Thin Mint Cookies I got a month or two back - I’m definitely changing my tune. Orange and hash is the two words that come to my mind when thinking of the smell from the buds. Perfect cure. Sticky but breaks up and rolls up nicely. Burns white as always. High is uplifting for me. Not a knock out strain but one that I can smoke and still function. It’s great socializing weed for me. Munchies don’t really hit me with this stuff. V:9 Q:9.5
