Sour Diesel - Pacific Grass - October 2019
Sour diesel is one of my favourites because the strain name actually makes sense. The smell out of the bag is very fresh, citrusy and sweet, and busting it up produces very sour lemony smells, like a lemon candy with a side note of dankness. The buds are tighter than they look, frosty, hairy and very sticky, slightly dry but exactly how I like.
Smoked through a bong it produces a very smooth and flavourful hit, little harsh on the exhale but doesn't make me cough. The sweet and sour flavour is almost overwhelming, but somehow becomes overpowered by the nearly noxious diesel flavours. The combination of flavours is very strong and takes some getting used to. Burns a mostly white to salt and pepper ash. Through the vape its an insanely smooth hit that can be dangerous since it doesn't even feel like you're getting anything. Produces whispier clouds, with less flavour than I expected, some of the sweet flavours came through and none of the diesel or sour.
The potency is noticeable nearly right away with a powerful cerebral high. That initial cerebral high lasts throughout, while gaining more cloudy, yet focused and very creative bursts. Its an electric sativa high, but not too energetic, its very mellow but left me capable to do things around the house, socialize or just chill. Controllable munchies, no anxiety, no couchlock and the only sign of body buzz is a nice warming effect. 7.5 for potency, very strong and at higher doses it gets intense.
Overall its a home run Sour Diesel, covers all the bases from smell, flavour to the great buzz. If you're after this classic strain look no further.
