Picked up a half oz of smalls by BBCF. These guys usually put out good stuff, so it was a great opportunity to save a bit while still getting decent quality.
Nice bag appeal for smalls with few popcorns here and there. The trim wasn't bad, but could be better on some nugs. Crispy on ...the outsides, not dry, with a nice moisture level within. They were still resinous and sticky, along a cure that was ideal for my preference.
The nose was milder on this batch, not super dank, yet still had typical Bubba terps coming through. Taste was not bad, but didn't fully translate, and seemed to lose it a bit coming to the end of the draw. Just like the nose, overall flavour was mild and the heavy skunkiness, hash, and pine flavours were absent, leaning more towards an earthy and spicy flavour profile along hints of subtle sweetness.
Burn quality was satisfactory whether in bong or joint. Combusted fairly well and was never harsh nor unpleasant. It was a greasy burn at times, and ash was salt & pepper.
Potency was okay, about average, nothing to write home about. For smalls the effects still hit pretty good and lasted a while, but I wasn't in deep couchlock at any time. A more gentle full bodied buzz that had me in good spirits, which I found better suited for late afternoons and evenings.
Overall, it's not a bad batch especially when considering they're smalls, and price you're paying. If looking for something with loud terps, flavour, and potency, you may want to hold off. On the other hand, if you're just seeking value for money, while still getting a good experience and notable effects, this may be right up your alley.
There has been some hype surrounding this strain, particularly CleanerMeds cut, though not personally grown by him, I was still curious to try.
This was some well crafted weed that's pleasing to the eyes with ...darker colour tones. The nugs were smaller composed of a dense compact structure, heavily resinous, and very sticky for an ideal cure.
Nose was pronounced yet not too loud, and carried a typical bubba smell and taste. Aromas of hash, cream, spice, and herbs, along earthy, skunk, and gas undertones. The flavour was mostly rich with a taste of hash, cream, and pine up front, sweet tasting throughout, which all ended with an earthy, skunk, and mild citrus exhale.
Bong hits were clean and smooth, but also gave a strong kick to the chest area without any coughing. Joints burned well producing thick smoke, and was very greasy along with an ash that was light grey for the most part.
I really liked the effects, they were long lasting and potent. An instant mood changer, that's eventually overlapped by full bodied relaxing properties. It's a creeper as the buzz intensified over time, shifting from light mental stimulation to full on hazeyness and deep couch lock. Even with heavy relaxation there was functionality and at no time did I feel drowsy nor sedated, but does make falling asleep very easily.
I truly enjoyed this batch, only wished I had picked up more than an eight. It's very good stuff but at the same time overhyped to some extent, due to relabeling which also comes with a higher tag. I've seen this go for as high as $300 an oz, which is totally absurd and not worth it for what it is, but at a price point that's closer to $200 it would get my recommendation.
This is another one from their private reserves. As far as I know, ICC has been done a few times now, and had good feedback in previous months, so I was much looking forward to this batch.
Lovely looking buds made up of mostly lime and pastel ...green colours, hints of purple, and are absolutely frosted with lots of trichome heads still intact. Very nice dense feel between fingers, they were perfectly cured and sticky.
The nose was so good! It smelled like piney gassy cake batter, not too sweet, but more on the creamy side with notable traits of vanilla, and had undertones of mint and earthiness. Flavour translated amazingly all notes were present and never got subdued. Cream, butter, pine at the front, followed by gas, and ends with a delightful taste of mint, and nuttiness left on palette, with the buttery notes following through as well. I'd say nose and flavour were dialed in and sync seamlessly.
Excellent burn quality. Joints had no problem staying ignited for over 2 mins based on testing, combusting slowly all the way through. Cean and smooth, greasy for the most part, and had firm light grey ash with minimal peppering.
The potency was solid, not super strong knock you out, but definitely above average towards stronger side. Very uplifting and happy, peaceful state of mind, with a warm soothing body buzz that lead to moderate couch lock. It was creeper like inducing mild sedation after some time, making it easy to fall asleep.
I was very pleased with this drop. It checked all boxes for me, and made for a wonderful smoking experience. Not the best value for money, but certainly worth it if you're seeking a cut of ICC that's well done. Still, I was able to get a 1/4 for about $50 after discount, so no complaints here at all. Easy recommendation for a premium smoke.
A smaller drop from their private reserves, and as such quantity was limited to an eight per order. Good looking buds that had bold contrasting colours from deep purple to blacks, the fiery pistols were vibrant, and the generous l...ayer of frosty trichomes added more to the beautiful colours. Cured very well and sticky, nicely crispy on the outside but perfect moisture within.
The aromas were dank and complex having a perfect mix of fruit, candy, and gas. Sharp notes of sweet tropical and berry fruit, accented by undertones of funk, and skunk. A sour pungency was further revealed when compressing buds. Taste was a bit different on the inhale yet not terrible at all. It was creamy, minty, and nutty, chased by mild gassy notes. The mintyness was present throughout and made its way on the exhale, along a sour citrus taste that lingered on the palette.
No issues with burn quality, slow combustion, and was greasy for the most part. Ash was favoured towards the light grey side, but did have some peppering at times.
Although supposedly an 85/15 indica, I found the buzz to be almost balanced. The head buzz was pronounced, however, with lots of mental stimulation at first, which eventually faded into total body relaxation. Not a strong potency but effects do seem to last, won't have you feeling tired nor sedated. I'd say it's best for winding down an afternoon.
It was undoubtedly a nice experience, will be looking forward to bigger drops in future where quantity isn't limited. Sold at a pricier tag of $40 per eight, I probably would have skipped this, if it weren't for coupon and points, which ended up costing me around $28. Value was still on the low side, but I'm happy that I was able to try, as it was nothing short of good quality.
This half oz came with mostly medium sized buds few smalls. Gorgeous bag appeal a mix of olive and sea green colours, blackish purple hues, further embellished by red-orange pistols, and a copious amount of white crystal trichomes. A dense springy structure... along a very good cure, buds were tad crispy on outsides, great moisture, and moderately sticky.
The terps were pure gas, heavy skunky pungent chemical gas. Undertones of spice and herbs were especially apparent when grounding or taking buds apart. Hints of earthiness was also present. Flavour transitioned just as good. Slightly spicy with heavy gas and skunk during inhale, along faint lingering pine notes, which all ended on a smooth, herbal, and skunky exhale. Flavourful all the way through.
Pretty solid burn quality, although it was pungent was rather smooth and clean tasting. Bong hits hard thick smoke filling lungs without any induced coughing. Joints combusted slow and greasy. Ash was mostly light grey with some peppering.
Tyson packs a serious punch (no pun intended). A heavy total body buzz starting off with quick cerebral effects, while the physical side were creeper like and gradual. Buildup starts in the eyes then makes its way throughout limbs and muscles for a deep full out relaxing feel. Heavy couch lock takes over with course of time leading to a very restful sleep.
Im very satisfied with this purchase. It's too bad I wasn't able to try their previous batch, but I have no complaints with this current one. Will definitely be looking foward to more, it's a real gas lovers treat and surely a heavy indica. At $149 per oz there is some very good value here for proper gas.
After much enjoying previous Cactus strains I was eager to see what Fight Club was about. Another one that looks like nothing special having a simple colour palette with not much contrast going on. Buds had a semi rigid feel, bit crispy and snappy on ...the outsides, while moisture content was perfect and generously sticky to the touch.
Terps are really identical to Cactus Licker and leans heavily on Runtz side. Perfumey, candy, funky, very sweet and creamy, along sour skunk undertones beneath. Flavour wise Cactus Licker was more rich, and better dialed in. The sweet notes in Fight Club smelled loud but was almost non existent in flavour, though the rest of the profile was not too shaby. A spicy, creamy, doughy, and skunky inhale that ended with earthy and sour citrus notes, all on a milder scale.
The burn quality was exceptional, it combusted really slowly, and had a minor oil ring that lasted. Clean tasting without any noticeable harshness. Ash was firm and light grey.
Potency was a little underwhelming on this batch, I would say just below average and not long lasting. Hits off a bong netted instant effects but not too long after I was ready for another. I would describe the overall buzz as short, and mild indica leaning.
I enjoyed it for what it was, just not nearly as much as Cactus Licker and Spiked Truffles. However, the cure, nose, and smoke quality were flawless, which made for an overall pleasant experience.
This was an eight that I picked up with last order. Buds were smaller in structure and had a dense core. Bag appeal was average but the cure and stickiness were on point. Very nice presence of crystal trichomes, a few extra leaves here n there but overall tr...im was not terrible.
Terps on this batch were more skunky, gassy, and woody less emphasis on sweet notes. The floral, pine, and cream aromas were milder yet still translated decently to taste. Little spicy on inhale, immediately followed by gas and pine, with some floral and creaminess trailing behind. Exhale was smooth and earthy.
This one burned nicely without any snags.Thick smoke production in bong or joint, while there weren't any harshness at all. The herb combusted slowly as joints kept going the entire time. It wasn't very greasy, and the ash was salt and pepper, though more salt during the burn.
Potency was about mid level, nothing to knock your socks off, but the effects did come quick and seemed to last a while. A milder head and body buzz that kept me at full ease, while at no moment was I tired nor sedated. Gentle, calming effects that had me functional, ideal for evenings and hanging out with friends.
This batch of Pink turned out to be pretty decent across the board with an end result that was satisfying. At $150 per oz before discount, it's not the greatest price, yet still a reasonable one at the very least.
These medium size buds had a nice bag appeal with range of colours from mint green to dark purple, and were heavily caked by amber trichomes giving a lustrous finish on the appearance. Along with a good cure and moisture content, buds were considerably sticky when breaking apart. Structure however w...as more spongy and fluffy, little leafy in composition as well. The grounded herb was sparse, airy, and loose.
The nose was milky creamy with an overtone of spicy citrus and pine, while there were undertones of funk, earthiness, and very faint burnt rubber, possibly stemming from the lineage in Cereal Milk. Flavour transition was not bad, was creamy and nutty throughout, and although some notes didn't fully translate, the overall flavour was still present.
Smoke quality was just good enough. Joints combusted rather quickly but was greasy and had no problems staying ignited. It was preferably smooth for the most part, only getting a little rough coming down to the end. Ash appeared fluffy at times burning salt and pepper all the way through.
The effects are moderate and well balanced, full bodied that's not overwhelming making for a suitable daytime smoke. There was some burnout for me coming down at the end, but this is something I always notice with Mac or Mac crosses.
My personal grading of this batch would be AAA+ based on factors mentioned above. I would class this as a budget smoke, perfect if you're looking to save while not compromising too much on quality. At $109 per oz it's good value for what it is.
These gorgeous buds were pleasing to the eyes having such lovely bag appeal. Contrasted by lively colours they were absolutely drenched with layers of milky amber trichomes, so much that the light and medium green tones were somewhat hidden. Shaped like spad...es, the cure is well done though buds weren't too sticky, while structure was of medium density.
The terpene profile was complex and nicely pronounced with sharp notes of sweet, sour, and creamy tanginess, much like a tropical candied fruit. Undertones of funk, mint, and very subtle gas, that was almost fully disguised by the sharper fruit and tang notes. Flavour transition on the other hand left more to be desired, since it didn't have that same richness as the aromas. Guess I can say that transition wasn't bad, but definitely on the mild side. Just didn't have that pop of deep flavours therefore strength of flavour was bit lacking.
Smoke quality was very good without any harshness nor unpleasant taste, deeming a clean smooth burn. Joints combusted slow and even, also a little greasy to some extent. The ash was white/light grey in colour, no hotspots during the burn neither any major peppering.
From my experience the effects weren't too potent and more like average/mid potency. It's not a heavy hitter by any means, and won't have you feeling disoriented but rather fully functional during the entire buzz. Almost balanced yet just a tad indica leaning, but at no times did I feel lathargic or couch locked. I think it's best suited for daytime.
I would like to conclude this review by saying, aside from the lack in flavour transition, everything else was a pass. Bag appeal, nose, and smoke quality were great, but at the end of the day, it's nothing special that I would go out of my way for. As someone who values flavour and potency, it fell a bit short in those regards, unfortunately.
These buds are medium sized with a tight dense elongated structure, and are caked with white crystal trichomes giving a frosty appearance. A bit of an aggressive trim but the cure is really good along a mid-level of stickiness.
The terpene profile w...as dank and pungent just like Death Master Ultra, but I did find the notes a tad more sharp. The aromas are sweet, very floral, piney, gassy, with undertones of creamy vanilla and subtle earthiness. It all translates well to taste and wasn't too spicy, but so gassy almost overbearing the vanilla notes that trailed behind. Exhale was earthy and floral.
Smoke quality was pretty good and I didn't notice any issues during combustion. Bong hits were solid giving a nice kick in throat and chest area. Joints were slow burning, clean, and smooth, also very greasy with an oil ring from start till end. Ash was mostly white but had some salt and peppering at times.
The effects of this Pink Kush variant were fast and strong with a higher than average potency. It hits very similar to Death Master Ultra, starting off with an euphoric heady buzz that was instantly a mood changer. The deep relaxing full bodied effects left me partially functional, only to succumb to sedation and drowsiness not long after. With heavy indica effects it's best suited for late evenings and nights.
On the whole my experience was satisfactory. The way I see it, Doughboy Pink is just marginally better than Death Master Ultra in regards to overall nose, flavour, and burn quality. A little more pricey at $150 oz / $450 qp before discounts, but not terrible by any means. Still good value for pretty decent gas.
