It's been a long while since having any kind of portable smoking device with all the extra stay at home time. I've always been a bong and joint guy but now as my summer work has resumed I couldn't be happier to have one of these on hand. My usual preference woul...d be something a little heavier and multi faceted than distillate but it definitely still gets the job done for a quick hitting, functional buzz with focused, clear headed effects. Ideal for taking a few toots here and there, adding a little spice to the day when smoking joints or ripping bongs aren't options.
This particular pen came equipped with a Sour Diesel cart, providing quite the smooth and pleasant tasting distillate with no harshness or throat irritation whatsoever as I sometimes experience with disty. The flavours are a subtle mix of citrus and spice. Nothing too crazy or artificial tasting which is nice as I don't want to feel like I'm vaping flavoured nicotine. Rechargeable as well with a full charge lasting an impressive couple of days of frequent use.
Pretty sure this is just Slurricane but it's listed by it's genetics on site, Purple Punch and Dosidos, so we'll just go with that. Unless it's something about one of them being the Norcal cut of Dosi and one just a normal cut but t...hat's just a wild guess. Extremely dense, rock hard nugs with a crisp exterior and slightly sticky interior. Seems decently cured overall. A colour scheme involving dark greens and purples, heavily overshadowed by a lush forest of bright orange hairs. Topped off by a modest dusting of trichomes and equipped with a stellar trim.
The nose on this one reminds a lot of a gelato, providing creamy, spicy aromas paired with a citrus tang when broken up. It's flavours are also a lot like gelato and accurately resemble the nose, offering a creamy, slightly citrus tasting smoke with spicy, earthy undertones. Smooth on the lungs with a salt and pepper ash and medium sized resin ring.
Medium potency effects that are of the indica hybrid variety. Definitely more of a focus on it's physical qualities as it's mellow heady effects are quickly drowned out by a very relaxed, body buzzing stone. Not an instant sleeper but it can easily attribute to feeling tired and lazy in the long run.
Not to be confused with the Strawberry Cough x Blue Dream cut, this Skookum cultivar ups the anti by pairing Blue Dream with one of my most memorable strains e...ver, Strawberry Jerry. Bright green in colour with faint hints of purple and copper orange pistils throughout, all submerged in a sea of frosty white trichomes. The buds are extremely sticky and fresh with a soft, squishy texture. The gooey, grinder jamming kind. It's terrifically cured and has no problems with the burn whatsoever for how fresh it is. It's fair share of extra foliage would be the only knock on the overall appearance. Arriving in a tin can with a 62% Boveda within.
This is exactly the type of profile I anticipated based on this Strawberry Dream's lineage. A delicious tropical concoction of candied strawberries and sweet berries. The Strawberry Jerry is definitely the more present of the two parents with the Blue Dream further adding to it's fruity pungency. The transition to flavour is a seamless one as it mimics the same terpenes found in the fragrance, delivering a pleasant strawberry nuanced smoke that lingers on the taste buds with a slight spicy herbalness as well. Smooth as you'd like, paired with a sizeable resin ring and fluffy white ash with the smallest amount of peppering.
A wonderful sativa based high that has been my go to for wake and bakes or when needing a pick me up. Heavily euphoric and uplifting with it's social and mood enhancing tendencies. Just a very happy-go-lucky strain in general with potent cerebral effects and just the slightest bit of relaxation. One of those strains that can be indulged in whenever desired but especially shines in the mornings and afternoons as it doesn't slow you down or fatigue you one bit.
Last one up from Red Dye is this scrumptious cut of Cookies N Cream cultivated by Flawless, wrapping up a stellar lineup of strains. Th...is Particular CnC, dubbed the 'gassy pheno', arrived sporting a magnificent appearance. Beginning with it's lovely colour combination of greens and purples that are further emphasized by a glistening layer of frosty white trichomes and wispy orange pistils. It may not appear like it based on the appearance but the buds are actually very dense and firm to the touch, once again cured to perfection with a healthy, sticky and snappy texture. All followed by a delicate trim that leaves it's lovely sugared foliage behind.
A complex and unique nose on this CnC. The type that seems to offer something different each time you go in for a sniff. Starting off with a familiar Cookies N Cream aroma paired with a subtle spicy gas. It's then followed by a touch of sweet mint in the background that brings it all together. It's flavours are extremely similar, offering a sweet, slightly minty, Cookies N Cream taste with a spicy nuanced exhale. Silky smooth smoking with a decent sized resin ring and grey, salt & pepper ash.
Now this gassy pheno is noticeably more potent than previous CNC cuts I've had in the past. It's not just eye candy and terps as this one offers more of a complete, fulfilling high. It still sits comfortably around the hybrid spectrum, only with amplified effects. A powerful mix of mental and physical qualities, leaving you focused and in the zone with a limb to limb body buzz to compliment it. The result is the type of high that I always describe as ”feeling like you're just a floating head”. Perfect for getting lost into a show or movie with some munchies nearby.
This epic cut of Purple Garlic selected by Swarmking and cul...tivated by Flawless is a cross involving personal favourite GMO and a strain I've never had before, Oreoz. This is some seriously impressive looking flower with a delightful trim to further highlight it's stunning visuals. Leading the way with a heavy coating of snow white trichomes that leave the surface slick and greasy, accompanied by a beautiful combination of vibrant greens and purples. A lovely assortment of jagged orange pistils as well that only further add to it's appearance. Densely structured with a sticky, snappy texture, perfectly cured once again.
The nose on this Purple Garlic is heavily influenced by it's GMO ancestry with a pungent GMO funk that assaults you upon opening the jar lid. Breaking it up unleashes gentle aromas of cookies and cream but they are quickly devoured by an intoxicating tandem of spicy garlic and funky fuel. It's flavours follow the same path, dominating the pallet with it's Garlic Cookie dankness. A combination of earth, diesel, and GMO spice with subtle creamy-cookie undertones from it's Oreoz side that delicately come through on the exhale. It packs a punch to the lungs and let's you know it's a heavy smoke while still maintaining a silky smoothness to it. Greasy and clean burning, leaving behind a light, salt and slightly peppered ash.
Last and certainly not least, the high. It's just as bold as it's terpene profile, producing a powerful onset of effects that hit mentally and physically. A very stoney, euphoric head high that leaves you feeling noticeably uplifted and laid back, especially if it's the first smoke session of the day or after work, washing away any stress in the process. It's relaxing side starts to make an appearance about half way through the high, offering a warming, limb to limb tranquillity that leaves you contently glued in place. Really enjoyed this one overall and everyone involved in the process just killed it. Would love to see it again in the near future!
A wonderful, fruity twist on the classic Cookies & Cream. Flawlessly combining with ...the strain Strawberry to produce these eye catching, trichome dripping nugs. A soft, pastel themed colour pallet, sporting a frosty, fern green coat with beautiful violet shades throughout. They have a white glow to them from the sheer amount of trichomes that heavily populate the surface. The majority of them full and undisturbed, accompanied by a lovely assortment of twisting orange hairs. Firmly structured with a healthy, sticky texture, once again cured to a tee.
This flower smells delicious enough to eat as the senses are delightfully greeted by a multi layered concoction of creamy strawberries and cookies. It smells great out of the jar but really comes to life as soon as you crack a bud open, getting creamier and sweeter, similar to a fruity MAC#1 with the Starfighter really coming out. Translates beautifully to taste with a fruity strawberry and creamy cookie flavour. I've been enjoying it via bong and joint but I have to say I think this stuff just shines for smoking bowls as it's so incredibly smooth and you can really pack a huge one with no harshness whatsoever. Joints burned with a hefty oil ring and grey ash with a lighter salt and pepper center.
The effects on this one are pretty even for the most part but it can sometimes even feel like a sativa leaning hybrid due to it's very easygoing, uplifted demeanour. I can definitely feel my mood switch after a single bowl as it promotes the kind of buzz that puts me in a chatty, giggly mood. Never once did I feel tired but it does offer a mellow relaxation that is just enough to take the edge off things, combining with it's euphoric stone to make for a perfect morning/afternoon smoke.
I immediately knew I was in for a surprise based on this Ga...rlic Breaths genetics, being a big fan of both GMO and Mendo Breath and quite frankly anything bred by Thug Pug. This PBB curated cut, masterfully cultivated by Flawless, sports a phenomenal bag appeal. The colours are so vibrant that they look photoshopped in my pictures but they are just that detailed and lively. Mesmerizing shades of violet that make up for the vast majority of surface area with dark green sugar leaves poking through, accompanied by radiating orange pistils and frosty white trichomes. Outstanding trim and cure to follow as the buds are firm and dense with a snappy, moderately sticky texture.
Hard to believe there is even GMO involved in this one when it comes to the nose as it's so deliciously creamy and sweet with notes of berries and rich pine. I could just smell it all day and not get tired. It translates to taste with the introduction of the GMO terps as well, offering a slightly creamy, berry accented smoke with a GMO funk that lingers on the exhale and especially on heavy pulls or in the bong. Smooth from start to finish with a resinous burn and light grey, slightly peppered ash.
A balanced hybrid high that packs a good punch, especially in terms of it's quick hitting heady effects. Starting off as very focused and engaging, allowing to get some work done, while gradually shifting to more of a spacey, zoned out high, feeling completely care free and elated. It's also met with mellow, physically relaxing effects that are just enough to add to It's overall uplifted vibe without any noticeable sedation other than a possible slight burn out when it's effects wear off. Great for a late afternoon session or winding down after dinner.
Gorgeous bag appeal on this Slurricane. Arriving with a firm density and moderately sticky texture within, followed by a tidy trim and decent cure. A vibrant..., eye-catching colour pallet comprised of lovely greens and violets, smothered in a forest of lush orange pistils and long, towering trichomes. It fluffs right up when ground and also breaks up much larger than anticipated. Makes for perfect joint rolling herb.
An amazing smelling batch of Slurricane with sweet creamy aromas of dosidos and purple punch wonderfully combining together to create a delicious terpene profile. Reminds me of a grape powder juice mix or even certain types of grape candy. It does somewhat translate to flavour but no where near how good it smells which is a little disappointing. I get a subtle dosi cookie taste with hints of herbal earth followed by a gentle purple punch sweetness in the background. Very smooth smoking with a greasy oil ring but a bit of a darker grey salt and pepper ash.
A potent indica leaning hybrid that offers a bit of everything. Starts with a spacey euphoria that rids the mind of any tension, eventually making it's way to the body as it's complemented by a heavily relaxed couch lock that seems to gain strength by the minute. Great for afternoons or lazy days as you wont have much motivation to be active or productive after a session.
An Ethos Genetics bred strain involving Citral Skunk and Mandarin Sunset. Beautiful looking buds, displaying a dark hued complexion consisting of pine greens and deep p...urples that work in harmony to compliment it's heavy population of thin, wild orange pistils. Coated in a hefty layer of frosty trichomes, adding a white sheen to them. The trim and cure are both on point as well, leaving the nugs with a firm density and moderately sticky texture.
The nose on this Rainmaker instantly reminded me of a green crack or better yet, PG13 which is part of the lineage. It even has similarities in the looks! Notes of sweet herbal kush accented by hints of pine and spice. Also a peculiar smell that has always reminded me of cloves when I come across it. Also a faint touch of skunk upon grinding but none of the cheese qualities that some descriptions mention. The taste is a little different with more of a skunk influenced flavour paired with spicy and nutty undertones and a hint of sweetness at times. Burns real nice and smooth, leaving behind a soft salt and pepper ash and medium sized grease ring.
This Rainmaker posseses quite the potent buzz as it delivers a combination of balanced heady and physical qualities. Right off the bat you're met with a powerful, spaced out head high that's backed by a very uplifted, up tempo feeling. It's not notably heavy or couch locking but does offer a great sense of tranquility throughout it's course. Perfect hybrid for kicking back with on a slow or rainy day as it has the potential to be mildly sedating.
Runtz S1. A result of crossing Runtz with itself. Chunky, dark green nugs with deep purple accents throughout, coated in a greasy blanket of trichomes and thin orange hairs. Dense in structure with... a crisp exterior and moderately sticky interior, demonstrating a great cure as the buds cleanly snap away from their stems. All followed by a close trim that leaves minimal sugar leaf behind.
The best way to describe the nose on this Runtz S1 is a citrusy, creamy blend of gelato and oranges. More so like the rind than the actual fruit. Very explosive and distinct, bringing to mind strains like frosted fruit cake, jack frost, and orange creamsicle. An identical terpene profile when it comes to the flavour as well, delivering a pronounced citrus tasting smoke that finishes in a creamy gelato exhale. Very smooth and enjoyable in either a bong or joint, burning with a light grey ash and steadily building oil ring.
An incredibly potent high that begins before you even know it. What starts off as a balanced buzz with euphoric and calming effects soon escalates and transitions into a very cerebrally focused stone with relaxed physical effects as well. It really allows you to loosen up and settle the nerves while still having your head perched up in the clouds in a state of bliss. Long lasting as well with light sedative effects, although due to it's higher potency it can indeed be heavy for those with a lower tolerance or when simply smoking too much.
