Loving the visuals on this Cake Pop as it's hard to not be impressed by it's lively colours and beautiful pistils. Bright, pastel-like shades of green and purple that are smothered underneath a... dense bed of thick, apricot coloured hairs and a healthy dusting of trichomes. Firm and compact with a moderately sticky texture and great cure to follow. Very neatly trimmed as well with minimal leaf left behind.
A sugary, slightly creamy nose on this Birthday Cake x Stardawg cross with woody undertones and a touch of something fruity that is a little tricky to pinpoint. Subtle but pleasant. It's flavours are rather similar, offering a sweet tasting smoke with creamy and earthy notes on exhale. It's a little heavy on the lungs if you take a huge rip and much better suited for a joint. The burn is beautiful as it produces a substantial oil ring and clean, fluffy white ash.
An all around high delivering calming heady sensations paired with bouts of euphoria. Probably leans just a smidge more towards the indica side as it's both mentally and physically relaxing, ridding away any tensions or stress. It doesn't really get sedating, although it can have you in a zen like nature-which eventually can lead to a lazy state. Overall a medium potency stone that can be enjoyed on many occasions due to it's versatile demeanour.
Lovely visuals on this Gushers, looking just as scrumptious as the candy it's named after. A cross between Gelato 41 and Triangle Kush, combining to produce these exceptionally beautiful buds. A c...olour scheme consisting of forest greens and violets, accompanied by an assortment of vibrant orange pistils and glowing white trichomes, taking up real estate in every nook and cranny. Dense, greasy, and uber sticky to the touch with an impeccable cure, allowing for the buds to snap away from their main stem with a perfect crisp while remaining so gummy.
The profile on this Gushers is dominated by the Triangle Kush in it's lineage at first with dank aromas of nose stinging gas but the longer you keep smelling, and especially after cracking a nug open, you are met with a sweet, creamy gelato side. It's transition over to taste is an effortless one and once again is heavily influenced by the Triangle Kush with a gas heavy profile that is followed up by a gentle creamy gelato sweetness. Thick smoke with a silky smoothness, burning mostly white with the slightest peppering and a sizeable oil ring.
An indica leaning hybrid with an impressive potency as one would assume by it's genetic make-up. It leaves you feeling noticeably calm and relaxed minutes into the session, feeling a soothing release of tension as it's replaced by a warming sense of euphoria. It's not necessarily couch locking but if you happen to already be sitting down after smoking you won't be in much of a hurry to get up and go anywhere. It has the potential to leave you feeling a little lazy afterwards so it's definitely one to enjoy on afternoons and evenings. Another flawless gem with more reviews to come.
A strain with deeply rooted cookie genetics, this sensational Bwiz x Lip Smacker cross has it all, starting with it's stunning good looks and eye catching colours. A delicate blend of soft light greens and candy purples, heavily coated in a vas...t, snow white blanket of frosty white trichs, giving the buds a velvety texture and appearance. All further complimented by a forest of bright orange pistils. Dense, sticky, and terrifically cured with a neat trim to match.
Packing a sweet cookie nose straight out of the jar until ground up where it becomes extremely complex and pungent. Savoury, almost meaty aromas like certain exotic platinum crosses with nutty, spicy, sweet cookie nuances. Very rich, creamy, and full bodied, flawlessly translating to flavour but with more focus on the sweet side. A deliciously creamy, sweet cookie taste that heavily lingers on the tongue after each toke. More so a pallet puncher than a lip smacker as it's so rich and full of flavour. Smooth smoking and it definitely excels in a joint over bong, burning with a light coloured ash and solid sized resin ring.
The effects on this Bwiz x Lip Smacker feel quite balanced for the most part with a slight indica leaning dominance in it's later phases. Starting off with a powerfully focused cerebral stone, leaving you zoned in and deeply fixated into what you're doing at the time. It can even be overwhelming in larger amounts when there are too many things going on at once. It eventually settles into more of a relaxed state with mellow couch locking effects. Not a very crippling one but I certainly wasn't in any rush to get up and be active. Seems like a potent afternoon or evening strain to sesh with when not a whole lot is going on.
Terrific visuals on this very attractive Peyote Purple x Cookies Kush cross, beginning with it's lively colour pallet that combines dark purples with light greens, followed by a lush forest of... orange pistils and long stalked trichomes. Firmly structured with a moderate level of stickiness, grinding up to a fluffy, easy to roll texture and consistency. A fine trim followed by a decent cure.
The nose actually reminds me of the strain Romulan in ways but just toned down and even more specifically the Romulan Space Cookies I just had. A funky herbal musk with sweet cookie undertones, almost smelling a little fruity at times, picking up on a touch of guava that this strain is known to produce. I noticed the taste to come out in a bong much more than a joint, producing a spicy cookie flavour with a subtle creamy, fruity aftertaste. The burn is a darker grey salt and pepper with a modestly sized oil ring.
A quick hitting, potent indica leaning high on this Peyote Cookies, slapping immediately after the initial toke. You can literally feel it progressively getting stronger by the second as it builds momentum. Very in the head during it's early stages, providing stoney, cheerful vibes that help lift the spirits, proving to be an effective mood enhancer as it leaves you in a euphoric, carefree state. Extremely laid back and mellow, providing just enough relaxation to feel content without the heavy KO.
Mike Tyson, an OG as a boxer and an OG Kush descendent as a strain. One I've had from OWO in the past as it seems to be a steady addition to the menu and another indica that they absolutely nail. Supe...r greasy, sticky, and cured to perfection, leaving the fingers crystal coated when breaking it up. Dense but squishy and gooey, sporting a combination of light and dark greens with purple hued sugar leaves and a forest of vibrant orange hairs.
A very pungent gassy diesel nose to this Mike Tyson, followed up with notes of fresh, slightly sweet pine and that earthy ”Sweaty BO” kind of stank. Really does remind me of an OG Kush but with more pronounced, aggressive qualities. Translates to taste exceptionally well, delivering dank flavours of diesel fuel and earth with subtle spicy kush notes on the tail end. Crisp and smooth but definitely packs a punch on exhale, more so in the bong with a slight throat raspyness. Joints burn perfect with an impressive amount of grease and a clean light ash.
The high is where this strain truly shines, fully deserving of it's Iron Mike Moniker. It wastes no times getting down to business, providing a powerful flurry of cerebral and physical effects. Starting with a heavy sense of relaxation that washes over the body, bringing with it a heaviness that's felt in the limbs and eyes. It's very spaced out and euphoric as well, clearing your mind of any stress and body of any lingering tension. Perfect indica qualities for kicking back and calling it a day with amazing sleep aiding potential.
Also known as Comatose or Comatose OG. An OG Kush and Unknown indica hybrid cross that has always seemed to impress me on every occasion despite it's sometimes scrappier appearance. The p...hrase ”never judge a book by it's cover” couldn't apply more here as this Coma is amazing in multiple ways, just not the looks. It is however extremely greasy and sticky with grinder jamming capabilities. Dense yet very squishy, almost feeling moist as it's a gooey type sticky but still manages to burn like a charm. A combination of bright and dark tones, pairing forest greens with purples and reddish orange pistils with pale orange ones. All followed by a coating of resinous trichome heads. Arrived with a 62% rH Integra boost.
Such a loud and pungent stank emitting from these nugs. The type that lets you know it's going to be a good time. Notes of nose stinging fuel with rich aromas of woodsy pine and spicy kush. I also notice a faint sweetness that comes and goes from time to time. It translates perfectly with a full bodied smoke that carries over all the terps found in the smell. Tasty, smooth, mouth salivating, classic kushy flavour. Smokes great in both bong and joint, burning with a heavy oil ring and light grey ash.
A heavily calming and potent high, letting it's presence be known right off the bat in the form of a wandering, dreamy head buzz. It directly hits behind the eyes and temples, giving you this stoney narcotic feeling. Super easy to zone out as 1 or 2 bong hits feels like 3 or 4, leaving you satisfied and content for a while, especially when paired with it's ultra soothing couch lock. Definitely can be used as a sleep aid if you're even the slightest bit tired. A quality smoke for capping off a long night but veteran tokers can medicate throughout the day with it as well to benefit from it's pain and stress relieving effects.
Craft Series Forbidden Fruit (Skookum Canned Cannabis)
Genetics : Cherry Pie x Tangie
Sourced by : @kootenaybotanicals
Like the Cherry Sherbert I previously reviewed, this tantalizing Forbidden Fruit is also part of... Kootenay Botanicals' Craft Series. Arriving in an amber coloured glass jar equipped with a 62% Integra boost, keeping the buds fresh and at a perfect humidity level. Firm, densely structured, and sticky, accompanied by an impeccable trim and cure. The bag appeal is just off the charts on this Cherry Pie x Tangie cross and for once I'm just going to let the pictures do all the talking.
The nose on this Forbidden Fruit is absolutely bonkers. The first thing that comes to mind is an extremely sweet smelling fruit juice but one that is berry and grape leaning, followed by hints of cherries as well. Intoxicating and highly addictive, being one of the best smelling strains I've had in some time. Great tasting as well, just not as fruity leaning, offering more of a sweet and spicy accented smoke with a slight pine taste on exhale. Once you fully blow out the smoke you start to taste a bit of the Tangie as well lingering behind on the tongue, more so noticed in a bong over a joint. Burns smooth and greasy with a light salt and pepper coloured ash, providing a thick but smooth smoke.
An uplifted, cheerful high that wastes no time to let it's presence be known in the form of a strong head stone with unfocused, zoned out effects. Extremely easy to drift off into something and inefficiently lose track of time. It eventually settles into more of a body high with mellowing, stress relieving qualities along with a general sense of comfort and tranquillity. The ideal type of indica leaning hybrid to wind down with later on in the day, packing a decent potency and longevity. Beautiful quality all around once again.
Craft Series Cherry Sherbert (Skookum Canned Cannabis)
Genetics : Cherry Pie x Sour Sherbert
Terrific bag appeal on these scrumptious looking nugs of Cherry Sherbert. A fruity indica hybrid cross between between Cherry Pie and... Sour Sherbert. Arriving in an amber glass jar with a 62% rH Integra boost, leaving the buds feeling dense and moderately sticky with a firm, snappy texture to them. A combination of light and dark greens make up their complexion, paired with thin, delicate orange pistils and a sea of glistening trichome heads. All topped off by a superb trim and cure.
I love myself a Cherry Pie cross when done right and this one certainly fits the bill with it's delightful terpene profile. It definitely takes a minute to fully decipher the complex aromas that emerge upon opening the jar. It starts off smelling of sweet, ripened cherries, almost like a wine as it has that fermented fruit kind of aroma, followed by notes of sour herbs and earth. When it comes to the smoke it produces a sour, fruity, slightly herbal flavour with a sharp taste of dank earth on the exhale. Punchy but smooth smoking, burning with a light grey ash and thick resin ring.
I remember smoking a single bowl of this Cherry Sherbert on the first day it arrived and my first impression was : ”wow, this stuff is potent”... Many sessions later and I'm still saying the same thing after every bowl. Goes straight to the head in a furious fashion, bringing forth powerful cerebral effects that leave me heavily spaced out every time. Not a good one for focusing at all as I constantly found myself getting distracted between tasks. Much better suited for kicking back or hanging out with friends. It's also quite the mood lifter with it's relaxing and stress relieving qualities, making it a great afternoon and evening strain to wind down with.
Always exciting to try a strain that's completely new to me and one quick glance at this Ice Cream Sandwiche...s' lineage told me more than I needed to know. A match made in heaven to say the least, combining Ice Cream Cake #3 and Fleetwood MAC #100. I think I've found my new love as everyone knows I'm an ICC and MAC fanatic; not to mention she's a looker too with her beautiful arrangement of soft pastel colours and impressive trichome population. These perfectly manicured buds are extremely dense and sticky to the touch with an exquisite cure to match, arriving with a 62% rH Integra boost humidity pack as did the other strains I'll be reviewing. (Cherry Sherbert and Forbidden Fruit - Skookum Craft Series)
A nose that is 100% fully deserving of it's name as it smells good enough to eat. Creamy and doughy with a touch of MAC's fruity funky goodness. All wrapped up in a minty coolness that becomes noticeable on the tail end of a sniff. Translates flawlessly to taste with a creamy but dank smoke as it produces those same funky fruity MAC flavours found in the smell, accompanied by a cool mint exhale. The aromas it produces when combusted are all MAC and it's simply amazing how it effortlessly fills up my entire house. Super smooth and greasy burning from start to finish with a thick oil ring and light salt and pepper ash.
A real potent clash of spacey and uplifting effects met with an effective burst of euphoria, leaving you feeling completely elated and zen like. The MAC seems to really play a role and influence the effects as it leaves you contently stoned yet still engaged enough to be creative and somewhat functional. There is however a bit of a slow building body buzz that seems to creep in towards the end of the high and can leave you slightly tired and lazy. Not heavily debilitating more so than it is relaxing and carefree, making It an enjoyable and versatile hybrid. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
