Tangie - The Wholesome Monkey - June 22nd, 2020

This is the 4th strain from the FirePack I received from TWM in exchange for reviewing their new AAAA mixed 1/2 oz ( 2 Sativa and 2 Indica strains). I don't have much experience with Tangie strains, I have tried Tangilope and Sour Tangie but not Tangerine Dream or Tangie. So other than a nice orange flavour I didn't know what to expect. The bag appeal was the lowest out of the 4 simply because the buds were all small and popcorn sized. The remdemming qualities were that the buds did have a nice coating of trichomes and there was a decent orange smell that came from the bag. The smoke was very very smooth with a pleasant orange and earth taste and probably my favorite flavour of the 4 strains. The high hit me in my head and instantly relaxed me. I noticed my thoughts were a little spacey but it allowed me to complete tasks, it just didn't give me the energy burst I would feel from a Sour Diesel or Durban Poison. This smoke put me in a good mood and there wasn't any burnout. This was an afternoon or after dinner smoke for me. Q 7.5/10

Lemon Sour Diesel - The Wholesome Monkey - June 22nd, 2020

This is the 3rd strain I received in the mixed FirePack The Wholesome Monkey sent me in exchange to review the 4 strains that came in the mixed 1/2 oz. I'm a big fan of Sativa strains that contain Lemon and I also like Sour Diesel so I had a feeling I was going to enjoy this strain. As you can see in the picture the buds are light green and have light orange hairs. The bag had a 2g+ bud in it. The smell was lemon forward with a hint of gas. The smoke is very smooth and the taste was crisp sweet lemon at the start and a strong sour note at the end of the exhale. The sour note at the end could be felt all over the inside of my mouth instead of just the top of the tongue (which is normally where I taste sour notes in most 'sour' strains. The high was uplifting, calming and energetic. I felt a light full bodies buzz. This strain also made me feel chatty. 100% daytime strain here and I have been using it primarily in the morning. This strain was very nice but I still prefer the Sour Lemon over Lemon Sour Diesel but the Lemon Sour Diesel packs a body buzz that you dont feel with Sour Lemon. Quality 8/10

Bubba Kush - The Wholesome Monkey - June 22nd, 2020

This Bubba Kush was from the TWM's FirePack Black mixed 1/2 oz I was given in return for reviews on their new product. There was a solid bag appeal with this strain, it had a big bud in it (the one in the picture) which was over 2 grams. The bud was dried well making the buds dense but not rock hard. The smell reminded me a lot of their Death Bubba, kushy and gassy but it also had a slight pepper note. The smoke had a typical kush burn in the chest but didn't make me cough a lot it just made me feel a tickle in my chest. There was a strong dank kush taste that I enjoyed. The high was full bodied at first making my limbs feel heavy and gave me a strong head high. I honestly didn't get the small amount of focus I normally get with this strain it made me space out a lot and I was always distracted by my second bowl eventhough I try and smoke 3 bowls in a session. I didn't feel a strong body buzz but my body definitely felt heavy. This paired nicely with the Purple Rhino I also got from the order and helped to put my ass out at the end of the night. Definitely an after 8pm strain and for me it hit me more like a bedtime strain. Quality 8.5/10

While talking with their customer service about some strains, I was asked if I would like to review their new 1/2 oz FirePack that is $140 and contains 4 strains. So along with my order The Wholesome Monkey sent me their FirePack Black free of charge for some reviews of the pack itself and the strains. The first strain I'll review is their Pink Kush. Its rated AAAA and the looks, smell and high confirm that rating. The bud in the picture was just over 2.5 grams, its dense, well trimmed and has patches of purple. The smell is your classic sweet kush smell and the smoke was surprisingly smooth for a potent kush strain. I only needed 2 bowls for me to feel the full effects and to want to go to sleep. 100% a night time strain here and definitely one of the better pink kush strains I've had. This FirePack contains 4 3.5g baggies, 2 sativa strains (Lemon Sour Diesel and Tangie) and 2 indica strains (Pink Kush and Bubba Kush). The soft black bag containing the 4 strains was sealed in a plastic bag and each strain is colour coded. Yellow - Lemon Sour Diesel, Orange - Tangie, Pink - Pink Kush, Green - Bubba Kush. It was easy to tell each strain just by noise and look but I would personally prefer the strain labelled on the baggie. My initial impression of this collection is that this shit is potent especially the 2 Kush strains. I didn't need much to hit my sleepytime high level. Cali OG The Wholesome Monkey end of June

This came in a 4 strain AAAA indica Fire Pack, all the Nugs in this pack are frosty to the point were they all look kinda similar but the smell and taste is different on each one. This one tasted a bit like vanilla, was very smooth, salt and pepper ash. Hit hard and fast making me curl up on the couch. So far this pack, packs a punch and lives up to its name.

Cream Caramel - The Wholesome Monkey - June 9th , 2020

I picked Cream Caramel thinking it would be a nice evening smoke after dinner but after a couple bowls I quickly realized this strain is for later in the night, this shit was potent. The bag had an interesting sugary sweet kush smell to it. The buds were dense, small and medium sized and the trim could have been a little better but the buds were pretty frosty and there was nice colour differences throughout, from light to dark green and hints of purple. The smoke made me cough on the second bowl. The taste was sweet butterand a kushy finish. I felt a head high right away followed by a mellow couch lock and after am gour I was burn out. I found thos stuff to be pretty potent, I expected it from their Death Bubba but this caught me off guard, which was a pleasant surprise. This was 180 for an oz which is a decent value and would get again when I m looking for another night time strain. Quality 8/10 Value 7.5/10

Sour Lemon - The Wholesome Monkey - June 9tb, 2020

This Sour Lemon caught me off guard. I like lemon, citrus and haze as primary sativa flavors and the lemon note on this one made you want more. The buds were mainly medium sized, dense and were well trimmed. The bag gave off a nice hazy lemon scent. The smoke was smooth with as killer lemon start and a sour finish. The high is perfect for morning and afternoon, upbeat, energetic, focused and long lasting. This one was very enjoyable and I will get this again at 180 for an oz. Quality 9/10 Value 8/10

Blue City Diesel - The Wholesome Monkey - Late May

I've always enjoyed Blue City Diesel for its taste and all around high. This batch wasn't as tasty as a previous batch I had in 2019 but I was disappointed and the high hit the mark. The buds were medium sized fairly dense, frosty and had hints purple. You can smell sweet blueberry, fruit and earth. The smoke is smooth and you get a musty blueberry taste. The high brings a relaxing body high that doesn't couch lock and allows you to focus if needed. Definitely an all day kind of smoke but I prefer it before and after dinner. 180 for an oz is a decent price and I picked it up with their AAAA- mix and match which cost 5 more. Q 7.5/10 V 7/10
