UBC Chemo by Onyx Phenos

If you're in Canada and struggling with any kind of pain, nausea, or headaches i definitely recommend checking out onyxphenos.co and trying out the UBC Chemo. In terms of initial aesthetics the nugs were large/dense and covered in crystal trichomes all over. While the onset of the high is intense and immediate it is also a creeper so don't let it catch you by surprise. Even in very small quantities this strain will rid you of the discomfort of any your ailments. Personally i found it to be most useful for its ability to quickly get rid of nausea and increase my appetite. Definitely some great medicine!

Hawaiian Punch - TopShelfBC - Late November

Website - The site is one of the better MoM sites I have seen, I like the long descriptors of each category of product on their page, the only thing I think could be better is if the bud prices showed the ounce prices instead of the pound prices. Shipping - They had it shipped out the next day that is all I can put on them cause the rest is in Canada Posts' hands. Bag Appeal - The initial bag appeal was very good, nice and dense buds along with a wonderful morning coffee type smell, my favourite part of this bud is the smell. Buds - Big buds and small buds but mostly big buds that are trimmed well and very hairy. Smoke - Definitely not the type of weed to couch lock you or make you a 'stupid stoner' type kind of high, it's hard to feel that ur high but it for sure keeps you focused and on top of stuff, like usually, I have a hard time explaining long thought processes or strategies but I had no problem explaining them flawlessly while high on this. I for sure recommend ordering from TopShelfBC!

LA WiFi * Tegridy Farms * December

Strain - LA WiFi (LA Confidential x WiFi OG) Mom - Tegridy Farms Smell - I've had each of the parent lineage strains before but first time trying them paired together. I noticed the smell was a slight mix on both sides, with it sporting a rather diesel gas with earthiness and small notes of lemon coming through Smoke - smoke is very smooth, not harsh at any point during smoking. Burns evenly through a joint, light grey salt & pepper ash, and a resin ring tagging along side the cherry. Inhaling it has a sweet gassy taste with citrus hints and the exhale being more of a spicy earthy pepper flavoring High - even being of slight indica dominance I find this to be a nice daytime smoke, able to continue to function properly after smoking while feeling nice and decent. Good euphoric head high, with motivation still intact Quality: nice looking bud, bright thin copper pistils, some sugar leafs, nice light minty color with emerald green hues and plenty of trichomes on a blanket over top of the entire formation. Great stuff to puff on to feel good but still productive

Kush Mint Cake- Budmail- December

This was one of the treats in the holiday bundle. A lovely 7g jar of a premier line strain, that delivered a beautiful experience, came surrounded by a tantalizing variety of edibles and a variety of Skookum prerolls. Stunning buds: medium sized, perfect trim, vibrant colours are muted by a solid caking of trichomes. Nose is stellar: It’s overtly sweet and creamy, yet robust with notable hints of spice, and good old fuel. Complex flavor is served via a smooooth smoke. Euphoric and calming in effects. Not a crushing high; I’ve been describing it as a kush lite, with a twist. Higher doses bring on a heavier sedation. I really like this for post work into mid-evening. Thanks to the Quadsquad at BM for another standout strain. This is quintessentially a well rounded quality smoke. You want to take time to enjoy this. Wedding Cake & Frosted Cherry Cookies - HGA Dec 2020

Wedding Cake on the left (5.5 gram bud). Frosted Cherry Cookies on the right. (2.5 gram bud) Neither of these were the greatest by any means but I still enjoyed both. The Wedding Cake got me pretty high. I saw some reviews on here saying it wasn’t that potent so maybe I wasn’t expecting much but I liked it a lot. The Frosted Cherry Cookies was a bit more mild but still an enjoyable buzz. Nice flavour and smooth smoke. Overall, I’d give the Wedding Cake 7.5/10, Frosted Cherry Cookies 7/10.

Mendo Breath - OneTwoTreez - December 2020

This batch has a pretty dense bud structure and unfortunately some tiny premature seeds throughout parts of the buds. The colours were mainly a light minty green with some very subtle purple hints on parts of the buds, orange pistils with a coating of milky trichomes. The trim was quite tight with only a couple sugars leaves present. The aromas for this strain have a slight sweet, earthy mix with its own unique subtle funk i find all breath strains carry. The aromas translated quite well into the smoke that has a subtle musk mixed with a slightly sweet, earthy aftertaste that made for quite the interesting smoke I also enjoy with breath strains. The high started out for me with more a of heady uplifting effect, not long after I started feeling the Indica effects on this one coming through leaving me slightly relaxed but unfortunately didn’t seem to last very long as I found this strain had me feeling almost burnt out not long after smoking.

Wedding Cake - HGA - December

Got this awhile back for 40% off. These guys are my main goto during holidays because of their great sales. Bag appeal: 8.5/10 - massive buds in my order. One bud so large it could only sit in the jar by itself. Looks great but is very dry. 1 week jartime has only slightly improved this. Smell: 5/10 - almost no smell to this bud. A hint of vanilla and sweetness and grass? Smoke: 7/10 - no smell translated into no taste during smoke. Salt and pepper ash, hint of oil ring towards end of j. Not super potent imo. Overall I consider this an ok smoke, but if I factor in that it cost me $107 shipped after sale and coupon, it becomes a better deal. That being said I would probably not order this again. A rare miss from HGA for me.

LA Cookies -- Late November -- High Grade Aid

Q: 8/10 V: 10/10 Got this with around the black Friday sales with a bag of the classic DCM. This cross of LA Confidential and GSC has great bag appeal; super frosty lime green nugs that are dense and well manicured. Was a bit crispy on the outer parts of buds at first, but few days with an Integra fixed that, as the inner bud had good moisture levels to begin with. Loud lemon/citrus cleaner terps mixed with some pine with trace hints of a sweet/spicy cookie terps. Flavor is similar with only hints of the cookies. Good hybrid high for anytime of the day. Anybody who likes those lemony terps you see in LA Confidential or Violator Kush will enjoy this.

Cannatonic (MK Ultra x G-13 Haze) Company:Wtfcannabis Really nice tight but light lime green buds with patches of bright orange hairs and completely coated in crystals with some trichomes gleaming in the background. Smell citrus and pine slightly muted but they're there! Very tasty herb!!!!Taste is creamy sour with hints of vanilla and grape. Definitely keeps you guessing. This is feel good herb. High is full body relaxation but euphoric and really nice feeling. Found myself staring deep into space as I was writing review. Burn is smooth and pure white ash..Excellent herb overall Easy buy at $100oz.. I would definitely recommend for evening use and as a sleep aid!!

L.A Cookies - HGA - December 2020

When I got home I rolled it, and it rolled perfectly. It's sticky, and has a big lemony/citrusy smell to it. When I lighted up my spliff and took my first hit, It tasted wonderfully refreshing, like citrus fruit, and I felt really good around other people. I also felt the urge to draw, and I would draw for 3 hours straight. Everything was amazing and I would definitely try this strain again.

This particular cut is from a source but still looks rather similar in appearance. Narrow, dense, dark coloured nugs that sport a mix of green and purple shades. Great trichome coverage, trim, and cure as well. These are the normal sized buds but the smalls of this exact Platinum Cake can be found in the ornaAAAAment that I've posted in the imgur album. The only difference is that the smalls are a little on the dry side but the included Integra has helped a lot with that. The ones pictured above are decently sticky however. A funky and pungent terpene profile on this one especially when it's ground up as it exudes loud notes of musk and spicy kush, followed by sweet, cakey nuances. It translates over to taste seamlessly, bringing forth those same funky and sweet flavours, leaving the pallet coated after each exhale. It burns to a light coloured ash, producing a greasy oil ring and a very smooth smoke for how milky and thick It is. The high this plat cake delivers begins almost instantenously with a flurry of potent indica leaning effects. Extremely heady and euphoric, producing almost spacey like tendencies paired with a slow building body stone. Really puts you into a state of zen as it offers a great sense of mental and physical relaxation. A couple tokes go along way and can surely promote a yawn or two, making it a good one to smoke later on in the day or evening.

Organic Pink Kush (Quad Squad) - Weed Prime - December 2020

Hard time choosing a pic for this one : http://imgur.com/a/weJF8Xp Last and certainly not least from Quadcity and WeedPrime is this organically grown Pink Kush. One of my all time favourites as it's no secret around these parts. This flower looks like it's going to mess you up based off appearance alone. Wild bud structure and colours, displaying shades of light and forest green, paired with a heaping helping of greasy, resinous trichomes and clusters of orange hairs. Super sticky and terrifically cured. A few extra leaves and cosmetic flaws to be had but nothing major. A pungently dank profile emitting aromas and flavours of sweet, floral gas, accented by hints of earth and pine. Nose invading and mouthwatering as it completely radiates the pallet and air. Definitely not one to be discreet with. The smoke is extremely thick and creamy, although smooth as ever considering you're able to indulge in some big rips. Clean burning and ridiculously greasy, leaving behind a light coloured ash with a hefty resin ring. The high is what I also love about this strain and anything pink related. This cut in particular is real potent and hard hitting, providing huge waves of euphoria and relaxation. Mostly cerebrally focused but definitely adds a physical element as you're left couch locked and content. Heavy but not overly sedating, playing the part of an all-around super enjoyable smoke.

Hawaiian Punch from Top Shelf BC mid-december

First time ordering from Top Shelf BC, I was recommended this strain... Really impressed. The buds structure is massive, dense, and frosted as I like. The aroma is quite complex for what I think of as near as possible to a landrace. Really sweet and fruity, but no citrus or berry smell or taste, really something nice, tropical I may say? The high is smooth af for a 100/100 sativa, perfect daytime or for early evening. This one will be a keeper!

Peanut Butter Breath - One Two Treez - December 2020

These beautiful buds are mostly milky purple with some green. The trim was perfect with no leaf in sight and the cure was on point being pretty well perfect as well. Buds were dense with a ever so nice slight spongeyness to them. The aroma was of a succelent sweet doughy nuttyness that made my mouth water. Upon smoking I was greeted with a sweet doughy nutty taste with more of a nutty taste then doughy along with earthy undernotes. Burned pretty well perfect being slow, even and continous. The ash was light gray when smoking in a joint. Smoke was very smooth and had a nice grease ringer. This is a medium to high potency balanced 50/50 hybrid. After smoking I felt cerebral and a bit of europhia along with a feeling of at ease. I was also feeling a bit of lazy and relaxed not wanting to do much except relax. Vauled at 250 a zip before coupons. Quality - 9.5 Value - 8.5

Pink Death -!- HGA -!- December 2020

After trying it, I can say this is much better than it looks. It is definitely a leafier grow, but my first joint burnt amazingly! It has a grey/white ash which surprised me (although I did a mini trim before rolling). Taste wise, it's better than I expected. Sweet with hints of gas. Overall, it can use a better trim job but I get ripped as hell and I love the taste. 8.5/10 it lost a point for how leafy it looks. Got it on sale and it arrived in less than 24 hours with the black death mku.
