I know that strains should be separated for review but these two are so damn similar that I can’t see a reason to separate. I mean so much so that I tend to have a hard time telling them apart via look.

Both are heavy set indica’s with earthy/ gassy noses and an expert cure.

The Tyson has a sharper gas taste and smell. Effects are exactly the same in my opinion - super heavy stone hits you about a third of the way through the joint. If you get to the half way mark you’ve basically settled on going to sleep within the next hour. These are both great strains for sleep. I find myself sleeping deeper and longer than I have in years because of them. Both of these strains pack a heavier punch, in my opinion, than the Ultra Pink tin series (which I loved as well).

The only tough thing with both of these is avoiding the munchies as they will absolutely send you running for the cupboards.

Overall, this isn’t smoke I’d use if I wanted to be in any way, shape or form functional. This is strictly for the last puff of the night and as such I imagine I’ll get pretty decent mileage out of both of these bags. Another solid purchase from Budmail.

I missed out the last time this was on offer, so when it popped back up I grabbed this and the Sophie’s Breath.

Well, it’s not as visually appealing as other strains Skookum offers - Ultra Pink is a heavy hitter for sure.

Buds remind me of back in the days weed where you’d ...buy a bag from someone and get home and be disappointed in the look of it and then you’d smoke one and be absolutely floored.

The trim on this stuff is unimpressive and the visual suffers for it. However, taste/smell and high are absolute aces.

Super sticky, breaks up easily and rolls into a very nice joint. Taste is what you’d expect from a Pink Kush cross. Old school Kush and an earthy flavour. Burns white and slow.

The high is a classic heavy indica experience. Couch lock, lazy and hungry haha. This is a great example of a night time strain. This is the stuff I smoke an hour or so before bed if I want to get a decent sleep without the usual night terrors and restless nights I usually struggle with. A real knockout.

When I saw that Skookum had some Sophie’s Breath on offer I ended up breaking my promise to stop spending money on weed and copped a couple/few tins of a couple/few strains including this.

My first Sophie’s Breath experience was from Rainzforest a year or so ago and it was really nice ...so I was excited to see what Skookum could do with it.

Buds are beautiful, hues of purple, green and orange, coated in trichomes and sticky. A really nice cure as well, sticky to the touch but breaks off the stem.

Nose is sweet and has some very strong berry notes. Taste translates with an earthy and blueberry exhale. The ash burned salt and pepper for me with a couple of joints. That’s a first from Skookum for me. Was still a smooth smoke, just an observation.

High is a nice hybrid, I feel like I can get shit done but if I were to sit down and start gaming - I’d be just as happy. You really can get lost in your thoughts with this high. Munchies is meh, pretty easy to forget that you haven’t eaten in a bit with this stuff when you’re focused on a task.

Overall, this is a great example of a hybrid that I would gladly partake in as a daily driver. Astro Boy still tops the scales for me as far as a functional smoke but this is a close second.

What can I say that hasn’t been already said about this strain? Probably the biggest crowd favourite strain from Skookum.

Super sticky buds with an earthy, gassy and almost minty nose. Taste translates to smell damn near perfectly.

Ash is white and joints have a nice resin ring....

High is very potent, this is a great end of the day/ night time strain and I find myself getting deeper sleeps any night I partake in this particular strain. Munchies are strong with this stuff but if you can weather the initial storm - they tend to trail off within about 30-45 minutes. The high, however, doesn’t drop away quickly but when it does you’re left ready for bed.

Super impressed, would/will buy again.

This is a staple of the Skookum series and one I hadn’t tried yet. It’s got an interesting lineage of Jack x Chocolope x Shiatsu Kush and Nebula. As a fan of the flavour profile of Chocolope and the high of Jack I figured this stuff would be a hit for me. Not so much.

It looks great, f...luffy and sticky. Bud structure reminds me of Jack but it’s a deeper green. The can was stuffed full but that’s where the praise ends for me.

Taste and smell is incredibly tame. Smells faintly of chocolate and berries but it’s more bordering on older dried weed. You know the stuff - almost smells like old musty tea leaves. The taste is basically nonexistent for me. I smoked 3 or 4 of these over a few days before writing this review because I was so surprised that this was not a winner.

The burn is clean. White ash and no harshness in the exhale. No real resin ring to speak of.

The high is middling at best for me. Not a high energy Jack stone (which is why I’m a fan of the strain in the first place). It’s more just middle of the road. Average is what consistently comes to mind. No real munchies with this stuff.

I wish I could score this higher as I was really looking forward to this strain but unfortunately it’s just not a hit for me.

This one was a random grab for me. The lineage piqued my interest so I pulled the trigger on it. The buds have some wild fox tails on them. The nose is closest to Oregon Golden Goat in my opinion. Kind of a lemony pine scent. Taste doesn’t quite translate. I found the initial pulls to be spicy wit...h a hint of bitter acidic smoke. However, as the joint burned down, it started tasting a lot better. Decent resin ring but certainly not as evident as other strains I’ve had from Skookum.

Cure is consistent and burn is clean. The high is strong - tunnel vision and squinty eyes. Flatlined my girlfriend off of a couple puffs. Munchies were STRONG with this strain. Between this and the White Sumo I worry for my food budget.

Would I buy this strain again? Probably not. I love the effects but the taste isn’t up my alley. I love the effects of Jack but never was a fan of the taste and I think the Zelly shows my least favourite traits of it (peppery, spicy smoke). However, it’s still a winner in every other department.

Love this stuff. The buds are gorgeous, coated in trichomes and a perfect cure. Sticky but snaps off the stem easily. The nose is one of my favourites of all time - it smells like Blood Orange San Pellegrino. Taste is very close to smell. Burns white. It actually reminds me a ton of the first batch ...of Punch Breath I got from Kootenay Craft a year or so ago. Every subsequent purchase of their Punch Breath has never delivered on that initial bag. I’m stoked to find something that has a similar nose and effects which also burns a hell of a lot cleaner. Decent resin ring around a joint.

High is still somewhat functional for me, definitely a later afternoon/ early evening smoke but I’m not written off by it. Munchies are a side effect with this for me. I basically ate anything that wasn’t nailed down last night.

I purchased a half ounce of this and ended up turning around and buying another as this strain is a hit for me.

Sorry for the review dump folks but I’ve been working in a no cell signal area for the last month and got some catching up to do now that I’m home.

Damn, this may be my new favourite strain. I’m a sucker for Jack Herrer crosses and this one really takes the cake for me. No real trace... of the usual peppery smell/ taste that Jack has, this is more of a pineapple citrus nose. Buds are spongey and fluff up really nicely when ground up.

Burns white with a decent resin ring around it. The high is a real darling for me. Functional but strong. It puts me in a good mood every time I smoke some. Even my girlfriend (who isn’t much of a smoker) enjoys this strain a ton. We usually smoke one before sitting down to watch a movie or a show. No heavy munchies effect. This stuff is damn near perfect for me.

I got Do-si-do tin series from Budmail as my first order from them about nine or so months ago. It was an absolute favourite and I had a number of people tell me to try their Do-Si-Pie. Budmail had some on offer (not tin or premier series but still listed as quads) so I decided to give it a shot. Hu...ge miss for me.

The buds look good but smell is basically nonexistent and same with taste. Almost a sour, acidic taste to the smoke. High is relatively strong but you have to deal with the taste in order to get there and I’m just not into it. Burns salt and pepper. I was not a huge fan of their Hidden Pastry but this strain is worse by far. Easily my least favourite strain I’ve had from Skookum/ Budmail.

My score may seem relatively harsh but judging it against every other strain I’ve had from this company makes it the black sheep for sure.

What a winner. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a ‘cookies’ fan a lot of the time but between this and the Thin Mint Cookies I got a month or two back - I’m definitely changing my tune.

Orange and hash is the two words that come to my mind when thinking of the smell from the bu...ds. Perfect cure. Sticky but breaks up and rolls up nicely. Burns white as always.

High is uplifting for me. Not a knock out strain but one that I can smoke and still function. It’s great socializing weed for me. Munchies don’t really hit me with this stuff.
