OG Kush x Strawberry Diesel

Arrived ready to smoke with a very distinct smell of strawberries. The small nugs felt quite dense after jarring, semi sticky and crystal coated. Ash burns white with extra resin showing through the paper and an interesting tangy diesel flavour. Vaporizing might ...allow more of its fruity terps to come through.

Effects hit about half way through smoking and are long lasting. A mostly high flying sativa with uplifting attributes and no couch lock. An impressive amount of THC suitable for high tolerances.

Seemingly always trending, Death Bubba happens to be the last of three shatter samples I tried. Pull and snap texture but not showing signs of waxing in the heat. Mid-level earthy pungent terps give it a pleasant taste when dabbed but the shatter itself has little detectable smell. Melts into a clea...n oil with little scorching at higher temps.

Creeper effects that build up over 10 minutes so wait 20 before deciding if you want to dab again. Pressured feeling around the eyes that can make it hard to focus, a heavy indica with noticeable couch lock and sedation.

I’d say flavour and potency sits right between Pot of Gold’s terps and Purple Gorilla’s intensity, so a good all-round choice from Cheapweed’s bulk shatter. If you’ve yet to try them for yourself first time orders can save 5% with the code in my profile.

A secretive strain rumored to include Mendo Purps. 2g of sticky pull and snap consistency that managed to resist sugaring over the last warm weeks. Little discernible smell which translates to just average flavour in a dab. Kind of earthy sweet but hard to pick out a distinct taste and minor scorchi...ng at higher temperatures.

Heavy couch lock with an active mind, creativity and intense focus. Full body and mind effects so don’t plan to navigate anywhere quickly.

It’s always fun to experience new strains and Cheapweed has a variety of choices. Their Pot of Gold shatter has a high terpene content and comforting indica effects, whereas Purple Gorrilla is a more intense hybrid but not nearly as tasty. (Hindu Kush x Skunk #1)

The 2g came with some bits of plant material embedded from the packaging process and choosing to transfer to parchment proved difficult due to the soft texture in warming weather. The shatter did sugar in the week after opening and further intensified its piney skunk... smell. A high terpene content you can feel with a flavour profile reminding me of Northern Lights when dabbed.

Clean melt providing calm and comfort with a heavy head and eyes. Noticeably durable effects that gently ease towards sleep over a few hours. Indica siding shatter that compares to the same strain I had from Exclusive extracts.

Pot of Gold would be my favourite terps and effects from their 3 shatter strains I tried. Some might be turned off by the buddering, partly due to being passed around on a sunny 420 weekend. I’d suggest keeping it sealed and stored in a cool place or refrigerated if you prefer a harder consistency though.

High - Enjoyable crispy shatter with only average earthy terps. Melts clean and effects are hard hitting but it’s hard... to recommend when Sweetleaf mix and matches 10 strains with more flavour for less.

Mid - Brittle consistency with no real terps to speak of and some trim taste. Full body indica effects for an hour and then a relaxed burnout. Melts dark but without residues. Not at the level of flavour or effects I would expect.

Low - Dark pull and snap. Melts black with fats visible on the quartz that needed a thorough cleaning. Harsh black hash taste that I’d prefer not to dab again.See More

Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze

Lemony scent out of the bag that was ready to smoke. Quite dense with sticky crystals that resist being pulled apart. Terpy citrus smoke that’s on the energizing sativa side of things. Quality herb with a potent kick.

On the edge between shatter and pull n snap in my house temperatures. When holding it for more than a few seconds it can begin to stick or if a slice sits on my dab tool it will slowly fold over, but also slides off parchment and breaks without stretching.

Sweet earthy smell and taste kind ...of like a pungent kush. Not the strongest terps I’ve tried but posses above average flavour and is very enjoyable.

Effects are of the heavy indica variety. Feeling a lot in my body which tends to be more enjoyable at night. Potency is on point all together.

Melts into a remarkably clear oil. I’d assume it has been fully dewaxed or winterized due to the clarity factor and smooth smoke. Other than some bits of plant material that snuck in during packaging I’m impressed with their shatter quality.See More

Rosin by Darkside Concentrates for $25/g

First time trying rosin and as this was half the usual price I was unsure of what to expect. A nice glass container with a screw on lid contains the dark waxy oil. Looks nearly black at first but it’s actually a greenish brown on my dab tool. No st...rain information so possibly pressed from trim, hash, kief, or a combination.

Buddery consistency that melts into a darker oil and thickens as it vaporizes leaving residue on a quartz banger. Residue cleans up easily with an iso’d q-tip and causes me no concern as the product is solventless. The flavour reminds me of hitting a flower bowl with hash mixed in, not the smoothest dab but the taste is of pure cannabis.

Effects hit hard but also seem to drop off faster than other concentrates. Strong head high for around an hour and then I find it to induce sleep to extreme levels and likely to be high in secondary cannabinoids. Also great for joints as the sticky element or coating kief along the outside.See More

Said to be The Don of OG Kush strains, it had a woody pine scent initially but not the strongest. Jar time with a boveda improved that but it’s not until grinding that the buds release their full peppery spicy notes on top of a roasting coffee, OG-like nose.

The spice and kush flavour is ...noticeable on exhale and tickles the throat on bigger pulls. The buds break up fluffy after their jar treatment and roll up surprisingly big.

The effects are mostly indica leaning, slows everything right down which can make it hard to focus on tasks at hand but great for pain management and switching off. I find the cannabinoid levels to be high and the effects enjoyable, a good choice for Kush connoisseurs. The price was $32 for a 1/8th.See More
