My very first time trying this strain. An interesting cross of Honey BooBoo x Strawberry Banana bred by Elemental Seeds. Beautiful visuals on these frosty light green buds as they are accented by hints of purple and heavily populated with blazing o...range pistils that are thick and robust in nature. Nice and sticky, leaving the fingers feeling caked when handled. The buds appear dense but are rather soft and bouncy, followed by a tidy trim and great cure.
The profile of this Honey Bananas is actually quite refreshing when compared to the faintness of some banana crosses I've had and really stays true to it's name. Pronounced nose and taste, delivering unmistakable notes of tropical fruits and bananas accented by hints of sweet, rich honey. Really delicious as it offers an extremely enjoyable smoke that easily satisfies the pallet with it's fruity composition. Burns great as well, providing a lighter coloured ash that's followed by a solid sized resin ring.
Found the effects to be rather potent with the high acting as a slow builder that significantly intensifies over time. Mostly balanced in nature, with strong heady and euphoric tendencies that pair well it's soothing and relaxing body buzz. Great for evenings or even during the day If you can tolerate a potent, unmotivated stone.
A very dense and compact High School Sweetheart that is super plump and round in stature with a forest green complexion. Followed by a hints of purple and a vast amount of thin brown hairs. The machine trim may be a little too tight on this one ...and left many headless stalks behind but there are still some trichs visible. Slightly sticky within and crisp on the outside.
The profile on this Cherry Pie Kush x Grateful Breath is a combination of sweet and sour herbs accented by hints of fruit and spices. Grinding it up brings out a touch of citrus as well. The smoke is sharp and lung expanding, providing a sweet and herbal exhale that ends with a peppery and sour fruit flavour. Definitely the type to pack a small bowl with as it's density makes for a super thick smoke that can strike up a good coughing fit. Joints burn with a small resin ring and leave behind a salt and pepper ash.
This High School Sweetheart feels about as balanced as a hybrid can be with it's happy, all-around effects. A little bit of everything, starting with a light cerebral stone that transitions into a mellow body high. Never once feeling too heavy which also makes a it a good one for less experienced tokers and daytime use.
Jungle Cake is a Seed Junky bred cross that pairs White Fire #43 and Wedding Cake. This heavy chonker of a nug weighed just under 5 grams. Very compact and dense, displaying a light jungle green complexion with purple tinted sugar leaves, popula...ted by numerous wild orange pistils and a modest dusting of trichomes. Some extra foliage here and there, specifically towards the base of the bud. Arriving with a semi sticky texture that can be broken up by hand or with a grinder. May contain some seeds as I did find one premie so far.
The nose on this one is slightly muted at first, smelling of fresh herbs and earth. Breaking it apart brings out a subtle fruity sweetness that's accented by nutty and musky undertones. No distinguishable cake qualities however. Similar when smoked, starting off tasting herbal and woody and ending in a slight sweetness. Nothing crazy when it comes to the terps but it burned extremely clean with a white ash and medium sized oil ring. Just wish it was a little more Wedding Cake influenced.
A high that seems to be all in the head at first, feeling a pressure behind the eyes and temples that make you feel zoned out and unfocused. It's quite euphoric as well. The buzz eventually makes it's way to the body in the form of a mellow and relaxing couch lock but never feels overbearing. A decent daytime hybrid with a medium potency and evenly balanced effects.
Tangerine is a back cross of the very old-school Ch9 Aroma, bringing forth these beautifully manicured, forest green buds. Dense and firmly structured, holding in a good amount of stickiness within while the exterior is slightly crisp. It's ...true character and personality stems from it's many twisting orange pistils that pop against the darker surface, followed by a decent amount of greasy trichomes. The cure is also very well done.
This is a real terpy cut of tangerine, with a profile that reeks of tropical citrus and pineapples, backed by subtle hints of cheese. Not an overly aggressive cheese but more timid and camouflaged behind the explore citrusy zest. The cheese doesn't come out in the taste however, making for a sweet, tropical citrus exhale that is accented by hints of pepper. Burns nice and smooth, leaving behind a light coloured ash and hefty oil ring.
The high is very sativa driven and produces upbeat, mood enhancing, cerebral effects. Perfect for early morning medicating as it's fairly clear headed but still packs enough of a punch to keep one content with an ear to ear smile. Citrus strains always seem to put me in a good mood and this one did exactly that, providing a much needed pep in my step that had me coasting through the morning. Pair it with a coffee and you're good to go.
Apple Jack, a classic Jack Herer cross that has it being paired with another classic, White Widow. Very similar lineage to the Jack Frost I just reviewed but completely different in it's looks, profile, and effects. Plump mossy green buds th...at contain an average moisture level and are of medium density, sporting a blanket of long stalked crystals, some milky and some amber, accented by clusters of rusty orange hairs. Also a few subtle glimpses of purple throughout.
The aromas on this strain are a mix of sweet and sour apples but like an apple wine as there is also this fermented fruit scent going on. It's similar when smoked with a flavour of tart apples and an added touch of bitter skunk on exhale. Not the most pronounced of terpenes but there is enough of an apple taste to keep the pallet pleased. Joints burn greasy with a salt and pepper ash, producing an acrid, lung expanding smoke.
The high this one produces is a very upbeat and clear headed one. Great for wake and bakes or day smoking as it leaves you uplifted and stoned while still maintaining complete functionality with it's modest potency. Also does a good job of providing you energy, perfect for getting things done such as household chores. Very little burn out if any at all, making this an ideal sativa dom hybrid for daytime use.
This would be my first time trying Jack Frost, a cross of White Widow x Northern Lights #5. These chunky buds display a mix of forest and sage greens, populated by numerous lanky orange pistils and a mix of milky and amber trichomes. They are dense ...but also squishy, feeling very fresh and almost moist but it's just the nature of this insanely sticky flower. Definitely the grinder clogging type. It breaks up with the type of texture that helps joints effortlessly roll themselves. I did find a couple premature seeds which were worth taking note of.
I would have never expected this kind of terpene profile from this strains lineage but it's definitely a welcomed treat. It's actually very similar to the strain Frosted Fruit Cake. Refreshing notes of zesty citrus meet sweet and doughy undertones that remind me of a cake strain. Translates exceptionally well to the flavour, offering a mouthwatering smoke that tastes of fresh clementines and creamy cake, followed by hints of skunk and pine on the exhale. Super smooth stuff that lingers on the taste buds, burning with a nice oil ringer and light salt and pepper ash.
The high begins instantaneously with powerful cerebral effects that can effortlessly boost ones mood. Super uplifting, providing strong bouts of euphoria. It eventually balances out and transitions into more of a relaxing and mellow, hybrid like buzz. No noticeable knock on the potency which is surprising considering the few premature seedlings which is the only slight knock on this lovely cultivar.
First time hearing of this In-house Genetics strain and it's left quite the lasting impression on me as it takes a strain I already enjoy, Slurricane, and adds Platinum to it, giving it that extra kick that Slurricane can sometimes lack. Absolutely striking visuals on these firm, tightly structu...red buds, showcasing soft shades of green and purple that are nearly drowned out in a sea of sugary crystals. Many headless stalks but just as many with heads to match, complimented by clusters of peach coloured pistils and a splendid trim. Cure is on point as well.
The aromas produced by this Sugar Cane are pretty much what I was expecting. It's your classic sweet and creamy Slurricane with a sharp peppery musk from the Platinum along with some pine. A little nutty when broken up with it's purple punch qualities coming out a bit as well. When smoked, the taste is heavily dominated by the Platinum's peppery and musky flavours, ending with a touch of creamy sweetness and pine on the exhale. Very clean burning and smooth smoking, producing a nice white ash that's followed by a medium sized resin ring.
I felt the effects to be indica leaning despite being listed as sativa leaning, coming on in an extremely relaxing, 'slowed down time', type of fashion. This dreamy like state leaves you feeling zoned out and clueless to your surroundings. As time goes on the eyes begin to feel heavy as do the limbs, submitting to it's welcoming and forgiving couch lock. A great choice for a late afternoon strain and my favourite out of the three I reviewed.
Pink Animal Crackers is a cross of Animal Cookies (Berner cut) x Pink 2.0 bred by Mosca Seeds. Definitely a first for me. Greasy, fox-tailed, medium sized nugs that feel dense and sticky in texture. They showcase a dark colour profile that has f...orest greens meeting rich purples, gently topped with a hefty amount of vibrant orange hairs and milky trichomes. Beautifully trimmed and cured.
A real unique profile on this Pink Animal Crackers, bringing together a medley of sweet and zesty fragrances. It smells like some type of candy I've had before but can't put my finger on. I do believe it's the Starfighter f2 in the genetics as there is something quite similar to MAC going on. There's also a creamy, floral gassyness to it. Definitely one of the harder and more complex profiles I've had to break down and I still feel like I'm missing something. As good as it smells, it's flavours are a little less pronounced without all the intricate subtleties, providing a sweet tasting smoke with hints of fruity candy on exhale. Still very enjoyable just not as full bodied and creamy as the aromas. Joints burn slow with a salt and pepper ash and decently sized oil ring.
The high on this Pink Animal Crackers is a pretty potent one that begins rather quicky, feeling it go straight to the head and behind the eyes specifically. Euphoric, mood enhancing effects that pair well with it's calming and mildly sedating nature, making for a good afternoon strain that never gets too heavy other than a light couch lock that's easy to shake off.
This tan coloured Blue Gelato #41 Crumble from 808 Extracts arrived sporting your typical crumble appearance. This one however isn't as dry as certain crumbles I've had and contains a texture and consistency similar to live resin. Really... easy to work with because of this, making it a breeze to scoop on to your dab tool as it won't slide off.
The smells are a little subtle at first upon opening the lid, providing aromas of dank earth. Swirling around the crumble with a dab tool activates the terpenes and they start smelling more like Blue Gelato with aromas of tropical fruits and citrus. These terpenes translate accurately at lower temp and provide the same flavours of fruity citrus and earth, offering a very smooth vapour that is super silky and clean on the lungs.
Brings on a wave of balanced hybrid effects that are extremely relaxing and calming. Made for a very focused and mellow high that allowed me to remain functional while still feeling euphoric and uplifted. Found it to be perfect for early afternoons and evenings with it's decent potency and lengthy effects.
Starting off this round of reviews from WeedPrime is this Ethos Genetics bred Mandarin Zkittlez. I'm always excited to try a new strain and we have a few different unique ones to go through... this time around. Beautiful visuals on these compact, dense, spade shaped nugs, packed with a hefty amount of long stalked crystals and thin orange hairs that lay atop a colourful bed of greens and purples. A touch on the drier side but no where close to crumbling, just not insanely sticky. Very neatly manicured as well.
Although not the most powerfully scented of buds until broken up, they do indeed resemble the smell of skittles. Not so much a specific flavour but more like opening a bag of them. Sweet and tangy with hints of sour citrus and mixed fruits. It unfortunately doesn't entirely translate to taste, offering subtle flavours of sweet citrus and spicy hash. The burn is on the dark side however which ultimately takes away from the smoothness of it.
The high is of decent potency and begins in a slight creeper fashion with a slow building head stone that builds behind the eyes. It's overall fairly balanced in effects, delivering mellow, uplifted qualities that allow you to remain carefree and functional throughout the day. Ideal for a variety of occasions as It's not heavy nor debilitating in the slightest.
