Up next from Tegridy is this very sharp looking Black Kush. A strain with unknown genetics but is thought to be a phenotype of The Black. An appearance that's super easy on the eyes, showcasing a forest green complexion that's further complimented by sh...ades of purple and copper pistils that appear in bunches. Very impressive trichome coverage as well. Overall quite well trimmed minus a few out of place leaves. The buds are crisp on the outside with a slightly sticky interior. Decent moisture level but it could use a little extra hydration in the long run.
A very familiar and classic nose on this Black Kush as it offers a mix of earth and herbs with undertones of spicy kush and pine. Also some nuttiness when cracked open. Smoking it provides a similar terpene experience, starting with an earthy and spicy tasting kush that's followed by a sweet pine exhale. Not necessarily harsh but it does give the throat a little irritated tickle kind of feeling that slightly takes away from the smoking experience. Joints burn with a salt and pepper ash and medium sized oil ring.
A heavily relaxing and very chill type of high as one can expect from most kush strains. It's paired with some spaced out heady effects as well that give it a good balance but it ultimately leans to the Indica side. Almost feels like a bit of a creeper too as it takes a while to fully get rolling, possibly resulting in an unexpected couch lock.
This Tom Ford Death Bubba sports more of a looser structure compared to your typical dense and compact indicas. Still quite sticky however, disguising the slight fluffiness with it's gooey texture when breaking it apart. Buds are comprised of light forest g...reens and orange pistils, complimented by plenty of greasy, undisturbed trichomes. The trim could've been a little better as there is some excess sugar leaf.
The pungent profile on this one is of the dank earth and sweet pine variety, followed by that sharp death bubba gas. It translates to flavour as well with the gassy death bubba terps really influencing the taste, followed by it's earth and pine undertones. Joint burn smooth and greasy, leaving behind a bit of a darker salt and pepper ash but it doesn't effect the terps or make it harsh.
I found the high to be fairly well balanced at first before it begins to settle into it's heavy nature. Heady and euphoric with stoney qualities, finished by a relaxing and ever so calming couch lock. Doesn't really knock you out instantly but it definitely puts one on the right path to sedation.
A cross of Fat Purple x Black Cherry Pie, this bud, although not the flashiest looking, surely does have some redeeming qualities. Minty green in colour with some added shades of light purple, highlighted by a mix of orange and peach coloured pistils. Dense, th...ough probably not the best of cures as the buds are on the crispier side of the spectrum and leave remnants of brittle sugar leaf behind when handled. Great trichome coverage however, with tons of greasy, milky and amber headed trichs.
Definitely can detect the cherry pie in this one's lineage, specifically through aroma where it provides notes of sweet and sour berries accented by hints of herbal earth. Almost cherry scented at times, though completely changes on exhale with flavours of peppery and earthy grapes. Not as sweet nor as fruity as the fragrance, but enjoyable nonetheless with the sweetness taking on more of an aftertaste. Smokes smooth and burns decent, leaving behind a salt and pepper ash paired with a greasy oil ring.
A high very similar to that of the grape jelly donut, though maybe not as potent in effects. Heady and uplifting, paired with calming and carefree sensations that bode well for relieving stress. Not much of a physical edge but the relaxing nature is enough to keep you satisfied. Definitely feels like a good afternoon hybrid with an average potency that won't have you feeling too lazy after a session.
This Grape Kelly Donut is a unique cross between Birthday Cake OG x Grape Sherbert. Buds are dense, sticky, and aesthetically pleasing, sporting bold purples and greens accented by stubby orange pistils. Decently frosty with plenty of greasy and glimmering tric...homes that really stand out against the dim backdrop. The cure is on point as is the trim, offering optimal moisture levels with minimal sugar leaf.
A profile that largely resembles a black diamond or a purple god, but with just enough subtleties to have it's own identity. Pleasant aromas of sweet, candied grapes and earthy vanilla, accented by hints of pine. Translates accurately over to exhale with flavours of earthy grapes that are followed by a subtle vanilla finish. Smooth and easy on the lungs, delivering a rich tasting smoke that burns with a light coloured ash and greases up decently in a joint.
The effects begin in the form of a powerful cerebral stone, offering a head high that can easily leave one zoning in and out of thought. Euphoric and introspective, while peacefully leaving you in a state of blissful relaxation. Potent stuff as it doesn't take much to be content with it's buzz. A really nice afternoon/early evening smoke for winding down or relieving stress.
An old-school cross of White Widow and AK-47, making for these colourful, interesting looking buds. Reminds me a lot of certain Grapefruit batches I've had over the years. Fluffy and loosely structured, displaying light and dark shades of greens, followed b...y purple coloured sugar leaf and robust orange hairs. Slightly sticky and well cured with the trim not being the greatest but for the tag it's definitely more than acceptable.
The profile of this strain is exactly what I was expecting based on the lineage. Sweet, fruity, and peppery, with a pleasant splash of woody citrus and pine. It's flavours are basically the same with added hints of diesel on the exhale. Effortlessly smooth on the lungs, burning with a light salt and pepper ash and small oil ring.
Nicely balanced effects that are mellow and best suited for daytime use as they aren't cumbersome at all. A very energetic type of buzz but not a racy one, just a motivated, focused high that is very cerebrally focused. It also brings some relaxation with it but nothing significant enough to leave one lazy or tired.
A cross of OG Kush x Great White Shark, this dense and sticky bud sports an oval structure that's complimented by colourful purples and light greens. Very frosty with multitudes of milky and clear trichs, almost overshadowing the fiery orange pistils. Nicely... cured and neatly trimmed, allowing the buds to really pop.
This is a real pungent strain, with a profile providing notes of musky kush accented by sweet undertones of rich and gassy pine. Translates finely over to the taste with a full flavoured smoke that leans more on the musky, spicy kush side with a gassy exhale. Smooth and clean burning, leaving behind a light grey ash and thick resin ring.
An indica leaning high that treads more in the relaxing department, bringing on strong calming sensations that can leave you contently couch locked. It's not all physical based as there's a cerebral edge as well, which provides an easy going and euphoric head stone. Not a knockout per say but it definitely can progress to a peaceful and lazy slumber.
A wicked cross between MAC #1 x Dosidos, sporting rock dense buds that are super frosty and caked. Probably the most dense flower I've ever had as it really takes some force to pry a bud open due to it's compact structure and sticky texture. Visually ap...pealing as well, with vibrant light greens that are greatly overshadowed by fiery orange pistils and milky white trichomes. Perfectly cured and tightly trimmed, containing a very small amount of leaves.
A deliciously pungent profile, producing strong, savoury notes of sweet and creamy citrus, followed by hints of funky fruit. Seems to really take the profile of it's MAC #1 parent with it's sweet pungency, though the inclusion of Dosidos does enhance it overall. Translates superbly over to the taste, providing creamy and savoury mac terps that remain on the taste buds long after exhale. Instantly fills up the vicinity with it's thick and fragrant smoke. Smooth on the lungs despite the expansiveness, and clean burning, leaving behind a light coloured ash and decent sized oil ring.
The high on this MAC #1 x Dosidos is quite potent and definitely feels as it leans more on the sativa side of the hybrid spectrum. First beginning with a buzzing, euphoric head stone, bringing on uplifted and mood enhancing effects perfect for daytime use. Can either leave you spaced out or focused and motivated to get things done, depending on how much consumed. Great for wake and bakes as it doesn't warrant any of the typical anxiety/paranoia qualities one may experience with some sativas.
This pink kush sports a real enticing appearance, with colours of deep purples and greens that are highly dominated by blazing, wispy orange pistils. Heavily greasy and resinous, displaying countless amounts of bulbous, clear headed trichomes. Perfectly cured a...s well, with it's sticky texture complimenting it's dense structure, making it ideal for joint rolling.
A very strong smelling batch of pink kush, delivering dank and gassy aromas of floral vanilla accented by hints of earth. Really has that sweet pink nose and taste that I look for when it comes to this strain, and translates identically over to taste with thick plumes of floral gas. Not a harsh smoke per say but definitely heavy in nature, requiring some discretion for bigger tokes. Burns decently clean however, leaving behind a salt and pepper ash paired with a greasy resin ring.
Indica leaning in effects, producing a potent, full balanced buzz that lasts for some time. It begins instantaneously with a stoney head high and calming body stone, providing an even mix of both physical and cerebral qualities, leaving you carefree and slightly spacey at times. Not really a knockout, but can surely deliver a lazy couch lock that can lead to some sedation.
A cross of Master Kush x Tuna Kush, this one arrived as a smaller sized nug but with tons of character. Very dense and greasy, displaying a balanced mix of dark greens and purples, all accented by thin orange pistils. A few extra sugar leaves here and there but... not a bad trim for the most part. Very sticky and frosty with multiple amounts of compact trichomes being present and intact. Nicely cured as well.
The profile of this Grandmaster Tuna is a pungent and skunky mix of fuel and earth followed by distinct notes of tuna. Real dank and almost funky at times especially on exhale where it translates accurately with flavours of gassy tuna. Although a little heavy on the lungs, this one burns clean and resinous, leaving behind a light grey ash with a greasy oil ringer.
An indica leaning high for the most part, with effects beginning first in the form of a mellow and uplifted head buzz. It's not long where it casually drifts off into a very lazy and relaxing demeanor, offering little motivation to get anything done. Its not completely overbearing as you're still able to stay attentive and focused, making it a good indica for winding down.
Arriving in mostly smaller sized nugs, this Rest In Peace was a difficult one to get a good depiction when judging it's overall appeal. Buds are comprised of faded dark purples and greens, highlighted by peach coloured pistils and milky whit...e trichomes. Moderately dense, though just a tad crispy on the outsides. I imagine this was sticky at one point but it's now easily breakable by hand. Also a touch leafy in spots.
The profile on this one is strangely unique and took some getting used to. Aromas of sour berries and flowers, followed by a bitter, skunky finish. Quite funky, especially when smoked, where it delivers flavours of bitter fruit and earth. Not my most sought after profiles, but unique nonetheless. The smoke is rather smooth but looses some points for a darker ash.
Fairly potent in effects, producing a mellow, euphoric head stone that bodes well with it's complimenting couch lock. Instantly eases away any stress or negativity with it's soothing, carefree nature. Can easily lead to a long and restful nap if not used to sedating indicas.
